I think Daxos the Returned is the only legendary creatures that can make 0/0 tokens. I find this very interesting. Not sure that it is good, but interesting.
Most of the good ones are enchantments. But then, you need sac outlets. I like sac outlets, but I think it would be fun to play this kind of deck without them.
Unfortunately every try hard from Sacramento to Shanghai preaches from the top of their 27 lands + Mana Reflection that Tooth and Nail and Time Stretch are fine to play in the same turn but Armageddon is unfair.

Stitcher Geralf will make a 0/0 blue zombie if his ability exiles 0 total power. You could make a deck full of walls and things, but capitalizing on 0/0 tokens would be difficult in mono-blue.
Baru, Fist of Krosa will make a 0/0 green wurm if you control 0 lands at the time when his Grandeur ability resolves. (Same for Dokai, Weaver of Life with an elemental, but you can't put Budoka Gardener in your command zone.) Of course, Grandeur is difficult to pull off in singleton and even moreso in mono-green. Outside of WUx (Suppression Field, Words of Wind, and Chromatic Sphere or the Skycloud Egg cycle), your only option for Grandeur is clone effects, which are few and far between outside blue. I suppose you could do Mycosynth Lattice/Liquimetal Coating+Sculpting Steel to get a second Baru. Even once you've got Grandeur going, few decks can manage with 0 lands in play. And, again, mono-green can't capitalize on 0/0 tokens very much.
I'm considering him for Teysa because of this. With her in play, and no exp counters, he's "1BW: Get an etb and a death trigger and put a 1/1 flyer into play". And if I do cast an enchantment or two, a BW token is still a decent thing to have around.
If there are any enchantments that are really perfect, you could put them in the deck and then just play them when Daxos isn't in play. If the rest of your deck orbits Daxos, it's likely that your opponents will be happy to give you windows of time where Daxos is in the command zone, and you're probably running some board clears or maybe some flicker effects yourself. Things like Stonecloaker have general utility anyway, and can let you slip in enchantments without getting counters. It's kind of convoluted, but any enchantment-light/less Daxos deck is probably a bit of a crazy deck to begin with.
If you want death trigger, there are cards that's allow you to sack his tokens (regardless of size) for benefits. Build in that fashion allow you to have big tokens without losing the etb/death triggers. Mind Slash comes to... Mind.

The point he was making is that you can remove the need to have a sac outlet at all by keeping his tokens 0/0. It's probably the case that just running the sac outlets and not worrying about not playing enchantments while Daxos is out is the better way to go, but exploring the possibilities of combos and synergies that need one less piece to work can be potentially valuable.

I understand what OP wanted, neither does my suggestion interfere with his purpose. My point was that, while automatic death trigger via 0/0 token is simpler, it inevitably puts certain restriction on not only the deck building but also the cast-order. Of course, OP can choose to NOT play any enchantment in his deck, or he could cast them prior to Daxos, my suggestion of alternative sac outlet is there to fill the gap so in case an enchantment was required to be played after Daxos, OP retains his ability to sacrifice the tokens.
Given how powerful WB enchantments are, I recommend keeping 'some' enchantments in the deck to supplement it, that way OP could play his deck the way he wants it, but having some option available if he needs bigger tokens.
You can play all the things that trigger when creatures die without needing sac outlets. Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Falkenrath Noble, Butcher of Malakir, Blade of the Bloodchief, ... some not so good cards.

Can you think of any semi-decent applications?

There is an artifact, Altar of Shadows, that can achieve similar effect, but pure mana production wise Black Market is simply stronger.
