So, I've had a copy of Order of Whiteclay since it was printed, but I just never used it. To be honest, I've never been very fond of the Mechanic. They're hard to tap without attacking or running cards specifically to tap them, so I typically try to avoid using them. The issue is that some of them are quite good if you were to be able to tap them regularly. I recently tried out Order of Whiteclay in my Heliod, God of the Sun deck, and quickly realized that Heliod shuts off its ability as my only way to tap it was to attack. So I realized that I needed something to tap it. Well, that's enough backstory. I'm not making this thread specifically for Heliod/Order o' Whiteclay, but rather as a general "There's a bunch of things with the mechanic. Other than attacking with them, what do you use to tap them?"
So what's some good cards that you can play, preferably in any color, to tap all these creatures? Is it really worth going out of your way to run cards specifically to enable a card or two in your deck with this mechanic?
I'll start off mentioning Springleaf Drum and Paradise Mantle. They seem like the best way to tap these creatures while not being useless without them. Producing mana is never a bad thing and they help pay for the typical mana that goes with the cost. Decent effect, but are they good enough in EDH/Commander? Springleaf drum is amazing in modern affinity cause everything is so low costed, but does it pull some weight in EDH/Commander?
Energy Tap basically says "get a bonus untap ability trigger."

Cloudgoat Ranger might be too weak for similar reasons, but Kithkin make it work with Order of Whiteclay. So does [/c]Patrol Signaler[/c].

Field Surgeon works with your strategy so far.
Gaze of Justice could actually be a workhorse in that situation. Same for Hand of Justice.
I'm sure there's an infinite combo with Hair-Strong Koto that I can't think of.
Orim's Cure.
Revelsong Horn.
Sandsower could help lock down an opponent's board in a token deck.
Shieldmage Elder.
Springleaf Drum is legit.
Outside of mono-white:
Freed from the Real is the obvious choice for untap (and Inspired) shenanigoats.
Aura of Dominion is gross.
Earthcraft is always good.
