Most of the five color superfriends decks I've seen win by boring everyone else at the table to death with 20 minute turns that don't really accomplish much other than shifting some dice around.
It seems to be a pretty effective strat, and it certainly taxes the battery on my cell phone as I try to entertain myself as I listen to the dude in a ponytail mumble about plus one'ing this so he can then plus two that and then untap this to retap that and plus one that again.
Edit: Planeswalkers ARE super cool, and I don't think you have to build it like that. But those are the superfriends decks I've seen. Not sure why it's always a guy with a ponytail, either.
Once you have Doubling Season, you can win a myriad of ways. Ultimate Tamiyo and then loop Sorin Markov to gain control of everyones turn. Loop Ral'Zarek to flip 100 quarters.
Just good ol' Lilliana Vess ultimate gets the job done.
Many suggestions but this is my way. Sliver/Superfreinds Sliver Hivelord, gemhide Sliver and a few extra slivers out. Cast a boardwipe (Jokulhaups is my favorite at this point)
When you control teh board and have man (thanks to Gemhide) start casting your walkers, while also swinging with a 5/5 (Or bigger) General.
Obliterate and/or Decree of Annihilation and/or johulhaups ignore Pwers and enchantments, blow up everything else.

protect PWers, although winning around those may be a challenge, IIRC only Jace and Ob Nix have reliable non-creature ways to kill opponents (not a PWer expert though).

"I think EDH would be more fun for the majority of participants if players just showed eachother their decks rather than actually playing games out."
I played against one led by Progenitus and containing all of the Theros gods for something more entertaining than moving dice around. I think the Lorwyn Avatars were in it, too, because they wake up gods like nobody's business!
Cheers!

I have a Narset, Enlightened Master Superfriends deck. It has 22 Planeswalkers, its not 5c but its the closest live example I can give you. While I still don't have a list posted, I can tell you the deck generanlly wins through Pw synergy and extra turns. One of a few situations:
Narset attacks :
PW, anything, anything, anything - > PW was put there for free, so I can maybe play another one from my hand, or I have the mana to protect it. At which point, the PW is either :
A. Spell synergestic (Something like Chandra, the Firebrand , where I can instantly use it with either a spell from my hand or a large spell Narset flipped over to gain benefit,
B. One that replaces itself before probably dying next turn - Jace Beleren , for example.
Another possible situation is
Narset attacks :
2 or more PWs show up : They protect eachother by both of them being threats.
Or....
Narset attacks:
Pw, anything, extra turn effect, anything.
In this situation, the Pw doesn't need to protect itself, as you'll get plenty of value from it before your opponents even get a chance.
Eventually, something optimal will happen, like, Narset flipping a PW, Time Stretch
and Howl of the Horde and you'll just go to town with the Planeswalker, often ultimating before your opponents can do anything, in some cases this is GG.
Basically, the deck is loaded with enough synergy that eventually, I will combo off something ridiculous like 5-6 turns off of the back of a spell, a PW, some free stuff, and some luck. And that's how the deck wins. When I'm less lucky, the deck can also win by just getting enough planeswalkers into play (Using extra combat-phase spells for example), and it just creates so many clocks your enemy can't handle.
For how to keep them alive, check out my thread. The short answer is board wipes and Humiity (Humility is particularly fun with Jace, Architect of Thought's first ability).
Wincons vary - some games it's a token swarm, other games it's things like Venser's emblem and Tamiyo's emblem. Turns should never take more than a couple minutes, and I don't play extra turn cards (though it is a viable strategy).
Superfriends is a lot of fun and a challenge to run - you will get hated.

In my defense, my Narset deck is far from unfair. Yes, turns do sometimes go on for a while with a lot of extra turns, but it flows very well, it doesn't get boring for the opponent, and it often whiffs. When it goes off, the RNG of it all is just fun for everyone. (I use stuff like Talent of the Telepath, Eye of the Storm, Mind's Desire, Stitch in Time and other fun stuff.)

you know, that SEEMS like an epic deck (and im sure it plays a lot nicer than your typical PW-your-opponents-to-boredom), but progenitus isn't actually a god?
im quite tempted to try it myself, actually. seems like an awesome idea!
As good as Doubling Season is and as good as some of the G and R PWs are...I still prefer a mono-u, UW or UWB lockdown deck for Superfriends. You have more than enough win options out of the U and colorless PWs so you don't need many more. Playing Stasis/Orb decks that completely neuter creature decks is really the best way to protect PWs.
In the end all you really need though is Teferi, Temporal Archmage, The Chain Veil and some good rocks. Why protect your PWs when you can cast and ult them all multiple times in one turn?
I was playing around with a creatureless Esper walkers list a little while back without any real wincons beyond planeswalker ultimates. I think the only wins I got from it were scoops from having the board and hand locked down. It still seemed more enjoyable for the other players than the Doubling Season combo finishes I've seen, which have always felt a little anticlimactic. Those turn a planeswalker deck into just another combo deck rather than a control deck trying to grind out advantage with a card type that typically gets panned as ineffective in this format.
I would win with Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded. I would repeatedly ultimate and attack on the back of infinite turns. It would be embarrassing to lose to him and unique for the winner.
It works best with Teferi PW as your commander. You can get infinite Chain Veil activations and mana a little easier by putting him to zero and recasting.
Play hard control until you draw into Chain Veil with the right mana sources out. Get infinite mana and activations. Use Teferi's plus to draw you deck. Play all your walkers and instant ult them multiple times.

People laugh, but I've seen him win a game for a Lyzolda, the Blood Witch deck I was playing against. I wasn't even mad.

I'm curious about your take on a win-con if you were to pilot a deck with mostly planeswalkers?
What about in multiplayer?
Alternatively, how do you ensure they planeswalkers survive long enough to make an impact?
Humility, Crawlspace and cards like Ivory Mask or Orbs of Warding are great ways to protect your planeswalkers.

2. Some sort of infinite combo with Teferi, Temporal Archmage (or Ral Zarek + Nissa, Worldwaker, Garruk Wildspeaker, or Kiora, Master of the Depths) + The Chain Veil + various mana rocks or lands that can make lots of mana, and other planeswalkers.
3. Looping Time Warp with Mnemonic Wall + Venser, the Sojourner.
Walls, time warp effects, board sweepers, fogs, and pillow fort/STAX cards would help me build to one of the above.

Care to elaborate on the Stasis approach?
There was a memorable game where I managed to ult Tamiyo, the Moon Sage and Elspeth, Sun's Champion in the same turn by protecting them with Meishin, the Mind Cage, but that immediately made me an enormous threat and even a Tamiyo emblem is beatable three on one.
Keep brewing.
It works best with Teferi PW as your commander. You can get infinite Chain Veil activations and mana a little easier by putting him to zero and recasting.
Basically you play all the Winter Orb, Static Orb, Stasis, Tangle Wire type effects to limit your opponents resources. Teferi mitigates their effect on you. Then you play stuff like Pendrell Mists, The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale and Frozen Aether to neuter their creatures as much as possible.
