And when I run Inkmoth Nexus, I like to add in Blinkmoth Nexus, as the latter's buff ability can target the animated version of the former. With Blinkmoth Nexus in the list, I'll also consider Mutavault as another Blinkmoth to target.

Inkmoth is *fine* as a Noyan target, but Inkmoth can kill out of nowhere with only three Noyan triggers.

Talrand, Sky Summoner- turns that gitaxian probe into a 5/5 worth of creatures. Best part, with white in his commander identity, I'd run tons of protection spells to protect and churn out tokens/manlands. My new favorite UW general.
Intruder Alarm is a fun one too, if you're planning to "go wide" and animate multiple lands. This turns token-creating spells into mana producers, as you repeatedly untap your lands and buff them larger and larger. Novijen Sages and/or Sage of Fables can be used to draw cards off of the counters your Awakening triggers produce. The whole thing then churns together into an engine that digs for kill pieces, likely Time Warp effects to get multiple combats and kill all of your opponents.

Is the question: "Will it bring back my lands?" - then the answer is "yes, and they'll have a -1/-1 counter on them" Also, they'll be untapped. There's probably something cool and combo-y you could do with that knowledge. It probably involves an Eye of the Storm.

Does Intruder alarm even though the lands are already on the battlefield when they become animated?
Edit:Not to clog up thread space, but how does this work with Clone effects?
Edit x2: never mind they are 0/0 and clones would instantly die.
That is the question, thank you. And those -1/-1 counters should clear up the next time I animate them because Noyan puts 3 +1/+1 counters.
Yep. You'll end up with 2 +1/+1 counters the next time you animate them. The only danger is if someone has a Kahmal, First of Krosa, or if you put them on your inkmoth nexus. You just won't want to animate them until you re-awaken them.
Intruder Alarm will not trigger off of turning lands into creaturse. Hence "token-creating spells".
Filled in the missing. Awakening a land does not cause a creature to enter the battlefield, it is simply changing the characteristics of something already on the battlefield - thus, no trigger.
Edit:Not to clog up thread space, but how does this work with Clone effects?
You'll end up with a land. Clones do not copy attribute changing effects (unless it's a copy effect), so while the Awakened land is a creature viable to be cloned, the result would be an un-awakened land (sweet dreams, little land).
This is also why Mirrorweave will not do what most people want it to do with Noyan. You'll just temporarily turn everything into land, not 0/0's.

This is rather disappointing, although I might still put Mirrorweave so I can turn all my awakened lands into the biggest thing on the board. A bit janky, but winning with it will certainly be fun.
Do be aware that damage based spells and sweepers will not cause Sacred Ground to return your lands (or -x/-x).
If someone lightning bolts your land, it is the game's rules that destroys the land, not the lightning bolt.
It's a weird corner-case interaction, but with Chain Reaction, Blasphemous Act, Mutilate, and variants having variable levels of play in EDH, it's important to note.
I think he works best as a control general. He allows you to win using your lands just by playing your regular control spells. For more 'all in' purposes I think he is severely outclassed by Talrand, whose tokens are blue, don't risk your lands, and costs only 2UU to cast rather than 3WU.
This guy wins the thread right here. I would also like to say that stuff like Oblivion Stone and Planar cleansing really separate him from talrand. Hell. Even twidle and buyback cards bring value!
Does anyone have a good idea on what the ideal land count should be? I assume a lot of lands are going to be dying.
I agree. We should all only play g/x decks because they are the most objectively fun and anyone who disagrees does not know the truth about EDH. Everyone should just play their decks because interaction beyond high fiving about how many land are in play is unfun and equivalent to casting Stasis while kicking puppies. I for one will never play with anyone who casts tutors, removal spells, blue cards, things I arbitrarily decide I don't like but will probably cast myself later.
Genju of the Fields can gain a triggered ability multiple times in order to gain a lot of life.
Now we're cooking! Thank you so much man. The Terra Eternals and Equinoxes of the world are already accounted for, more or less, but the stuff you suggest is the treasure that I'm looking for.
Thank you for this, and I'd actually consider putting those auras in if Wild Growth and friends were in the color identity, but as things stand, I doubt the card slots are worth the trouble. I will still test them with a light tutoring shell, though. I mean, these cards will amount to what, 50 cents?
I'm also considering Uyo, Silent Prophet along with some of the better soratami, since I expect the deck to have all of the ways to cheat more land drops... however few there are in W/U.
Awaken Contested War Zone, use Mirrorweave to turn all creatures into a non-animated Contested War Zones and then punch the player to take control of all of their creatures.

I unfortunately can't justify this guy in my meta there are quite a few wrath effects floating around and this guy seems like it would just end poorly. I do think is a very unique design though!

Remember that you don't have to animate more than one of your lands. You could beef up one particular land multiple times and not lose too much to a wrath. Also remember that when you counterspell those wraths, it just buffs your lands up even more.

Clone on an animated land will give you an unanimated land of that base type. Clone does not copy effects like the Awaken effect.

Be sure to run one or more of Tolaria West, Expedition Map, and Weathered Wayfarer to tutor for that Inkmoth Nexus (or Strip Mine, or Petrified Field, etc.). Just remember you still need to pay 1 to give the awakened Nexus infect.
