What do people think about Bloodline Keeper in non-vampire lists and instead, as a stand alone card. I love me some Master of the Wild Hunt and Emeria Angel type cards that just give me continual value over the course of the game. Getting 2/2 flyers is nothing to scoff at either. The only other vampire I run is Drana, so it will take me 4 turns to transform the Keeper, which is unlikely. However, i think there is real value in this card to justify sleeving it up. What are other people's thoughts on the card?
Edit: how does this card hold up vs. both Sorin, Lord of Innistrad and Sorin, Solemn Visitor since they both spit out evasive bodies, boost your team, but are planeswalkers so they cant be recurred.
I would call it a reasonable token maker. And certainly wouldn't fault anyone for running it. I have one, but never found a place for it in my decks. Looks decent on paper, not really sure how it plays out in-game. The tap means it doesn't get to do much while it makes tokens, but 2/2 fliers can be useful, just ask Talrand.
This, if your not then its only an ok card. Getting only one token per turn in Mutiplayer EDH is not that great. Plus being a creature it has to wait a turn to be able to do that and of course it can always die. Granted it your going for a token sub theme i can see why you would want it.
I have recently seen Bloodline Keeper in someone's Ghoulcaller Gisa deck that also ran Thousand-Year Elixir alongside other cards that had activated abilities like Kalitas, Visara, and a few others. It can be very effective at creating an army especially given that it doesn't require mana to create your tokens.
I think it's a fine card. It generates tokens every turn, more if you have ways to untap it (including infinite potential with Intruder Alarm and Thornbite Staff), and it can flip to make those tokens an even larger threat. It's definitely best if your deck has other vampires in it, though.
Compared to the BW Sorins, I like it a bit more because of the inherent fragility of Planeswalkers and Black's few ways to interact with them.

I am glad this card is getting somewhat positive reviews. It is one of my favorite cards from innistrad and I hope this guy provides enough value to hold its slot. I mean Emeria Angel holds her weight so I am sure Bloodline Keeper will as well. After a couple games online, I'll update how he does. Thanks for everyones input.
Give it a try! Always worthwhile to see what works and doesn't.
As an aside, you can't compare Bloodline Keeper to the Sorins or other PWs that easily. Because although they cost the same amount of mana, and generate one token per turn, your opponents can attack PWs but would have to use removal on the Keeper. What this means is you have to run (imo) either a lot of expendable value creatures that are cheap to chump block with, or support cards like Norn's Annex or Archangel of Tithes. Otherwise your PWs will just die a lot of the time, or you'll negate the token making ability by chump blocking.
