I for one am super glad they didn't try four-color.
Very happy for new enemy-color legends. Red/White should be interesting... either we get a legend that supports a unique theme for the colors, or we get to see how hard Wizards will push an EDH aggro deck (hopefully it's pushed hard).
Also, here's to hoping for some cool reprints! Blood Moon and Damnation are always on my list. It'd be good for Modern prices, too.
Yes! Enemy pairs are my favorite way to combine colors so getting some that don't have to pass through the crucible of standard or rely entirely on Ravnica is the best news I've heard all day. I'm hoping for:
Izzet generals that work with artifacts (as Taleran suggest). I'm not going to complain about getting new spellslingers though.
Boros general that is both low-cost and affects combat in a unique way. Just lots of good aggro stuff in general.
Simic general that doesn't rely on counters. On the other hand, Doubling Season as a general would be keen, because what the hell, right?
Orzov general that's super flavorful and hopefully from Innistrad. Go for the heroic cast of the colors, self-sacrifice for the greater good, not their usual inverse of that.
Golgari general that... umm, I don't know. I'm really open here. Insect? Insect.
Yeah. Probably some to none of that will happen, but here's hoping!
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
In my mind, C15 was either going to be allied 2-color or enemy 2-color. I would bet money that C16 will be allied 2-color. The interesting decision won't be till C17 where all of the easy color choices will be taken and they either have to go back to 3-color, go to 4-color, or do something funky with some 5-color/colorless decks.
New themes, or revisit of less popular theme would be nice for these decks.
I agree that Izzet would probably be the artifact theme they haven't explored since Ravnica (their guild artifact, Mizzium Transreliquat, kinda shows that point).
Simic has always been very creature oriented. I wonder if a lockdown type commander would be possible, either bounce (Temporal Spring) or tap (Opposition + tokens).
Orzhov has enough life related commanders, I'd like to see more Triad of Fates type of commander or destruction centered commander similar to Desolation Angel. After all, black and white both have global destruction theme in them.
Golgari is a tough call, because it has already been quite diverse; graveyard, token, lands, discard, artifact, enchantment, and semi-voltron if you count Varolz, the Scar-Striped. Perhaps a mana-through-sacrifice like [c]
Cadaverous Bloom[/c] would be a nice commander to have.
Nice! I'll take any excuse for more Golgari commanders. I was expecting ally-color since they did enemy-color in the 2011 decks, but this is much better.
Boros lifelink/spellslinger/"damage games" kind of deck would be interesting. A sort of 'damage happens, but you have a lot of say when, where and how much of it happens' dealie.
Izzet... well, I'd be cool to grab pretty much anything that isn't directly tied to bolt/draw spam, heh.
Simic control/lockdown style thing would be kind of interesting. While Simic is my creature-spam color-combination of choice, it'd be interesting to see what else the color combo can do.
Orzhov... there is probably space for something that isn't tokens or life leech (or usually, the combination of both), I'm sure. Triad of Fates, as said above, shows good direction. Evershrike-department would make for an interesting direction, for one, as black has gotten quite a bit of enchantment support here and there in last few years.
Golgari has it the best at the moment in terms of variability. I have no idea what they might do, but welcome more for the best guild of course
(...but let's be fair, unless they somehow completely screw it up, between me and my wife we'll be buying 'em all anyway.)

i'm hoping theyre gonna come up with more interesting generals to build from; i.e. not just all upside creatures, things that you really need to stop and think about how to deploy them correctly. or at least have SOME that are like that.
its not that i didnt like playing with kaalia and her ilk, but it gets a little tiresome having the general dictate deckbuilding so much. i'd wanna see some dudes like the original elder dragons or lord of tresserhorn type trip-ups that makes players have to think about how to use the cards to the best.
and hopefully NOT have legacy/vintage staples in only one of the decks so the public could only ever get their hands on 4 of the 5 decks. i dont mind them so much per se, but i do mind it when one of the decks cost like double all the others.
either way, im probably gonna end up getting a couple of them.
I just hope they avoid forced shoved-down-your-throat multiplayer mechanics that either only serve to completely ruin games or to play kingmaker...or be totally useless.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
I mostly feel that they completely nailed last year's mono-coloured decks with a great mix of value and playability. I am really looking forward how they extend that "well built, playable budget deck" philosophy to multicolored. I would really like to see a whole cycle of Krosan Verge, not counting on it, more likely to get a new cycle of enemy mirage fetches like flood plain. At this point I am mostly hoping that one of the new legends opens up some new space that captures my interest. Boros burn maybe?
Well, for one thing I hope they use this to print more cards for characters who had never gotten cards. That was something I really liked about Commander 2014.
Izzet generals that work with artifacts (as Taleran suggest). I'm not going to complain about getting new spellslingers though.
I'm down for either, as well. It'd be nice to have a commander to go with Reclusive Artificer, though. All the current artifacts-matter commanders are either Esper, Blue, or Red.
I just hope they avoid forced shoved-down-your-throat multiplayer mechanics that either only serve to completely ruin games or to play kingmaker...or be totally useless.
I mean, there will definitely be one of those mechanics, but it'll probably just no see play. I'm hoping for the return of 'Lieutenants', though.
Just FYI, for those of you who care, I've started a speculation thread in Storyline to talk about potential characters who haven't gotten cards that might show up as cards, like in Commander 2014.

I'd rather them not be printed at all. There's always some clown who likes to drop down a Collective Voyage and turn the game into easy mode for some decks. I'd rather them go the Syphon Mind route - cards that work in 1v1 but do get better the more opponents you have. Lieutenant was also a great idea, the creatures coming from it were far from OP and well thought out, so I'd like more of those.
A card like, say:
UR
Instant
Draw a card. Then, for each opponent, you may draw an additional card. If you do, discard a card for each extra card drawn this way.
Decent-good in 1v1, pretty good in multiplayer where you get some nice filtering out of this card. That's the kind of multiplayer card I'd love, rather than forced "politics".

That's fair, but you know they have to have the gimmick. I agree with you that I'd rather scalable multiplayer cards instead.
The LTs were hit or miss. The Dragon is good in Scion, the green one is decent in token decks and as far as I know the other two are unused. I would like better cards with LT for sure.

I liked some of their multiplayer mechanic attempts. JoinForces was a really good mechanic and at worst ended up being pseudo X spells or abilities. I'd really love some more Join forces spells.
