I'm brainstorming a BUG "lands matter" style deck and I am hoping to get some additional ideas on cards to run. I want to include things like the various Explore effects, landfall cards, moonfolk, etc. What I'm looking for now is cards that interact well with lands outside of sets where those were specific mechanics. Things like Flooded Shoreline, Overburden, Mana Breach, Trade Routes, etc.
As mentioned above, Jolrael, Empress of Beasts is a really cheap spellshaper that's continually worked wonders for me.
If you're running sultai lands matter I assume you're running Damia for some reason, because I've had similar decks to it. Sort of a draw-discard deck with a lands matter sub-theme, just so I could continually clear my hand.
burgeoning lotus cobra Budoka Gardener - He's fragile but don't underestimate the power of this guy late game. Manabond - I love this in my Damia deck. It works especially well with effects that bounce lands to hand, like you had in the OP. Abundance - Lets you hit your max land drops every turn without oversaturating (assuming you're drawing a load with damia) Rites of Spring - This is a card I specifically include with Manabond. Pitching 7 cards to drop 7 lands can really changes the pace of a game, especially in Damia where you literally just draw a new hand next turn. Sasaya, Orochi ascendant - I think this card is awful, but one day I'll trigger it with Rites of Spring or Abundance. Not only that but it lets mono-green obnoxiously reveal their hand to interrupt the stack every 3 seconds. Y'know for when you just don't care anymore. Spitting Image - When you have too many lands in hand, pitching them for value is good. just beware this clone targets. Oracle of Mul Daya Azusa, Lost but Seeking - Love this gal, she makes "lands matter" run so smoothly. Patron of the Moon - Pretty comborific.
Some related creatures that go well with lands matter in Sultai: Ob Nixilis, the Fallen Roil Elemental Bloodghast - Small but super effective if you go reanimator sub-theme. Dawnstrider - Not exactly "lands matter", but I feel like you're gonna need fog effects if you're running a janky bug land deck. I certainly needed both it and spike weaver to handle my meta.
Anyway I highly recommend Damia out of any other sultai general for this this. I can see how other generals might work, but Damia support half the strategy by refilling your hand with landas.
IF you are playing Damia, Sage of Stone Then I recommend Words of wind + ManaBond. Basically Drop your whole hand to play lands instead of drawing 7 cards, return 7 lands to hand watch others do similar things and drop your lands while you repeat the next turn.
In fact, I liked my friend's Borborygmos deck so much I wanted to make a similar one, but more bent to my personal tastes. I'll be using Tasigur, the Golden Fang.

That is pretty cool, but I was considering running Tasigur for the synergy with Life from the Loam and Crucible of Worlds. Although considering the many synergies suggested with Damia, I may put her at the help and tasigur in the 99 (provided I can find a damia).
I have a "lands matter" Damia deck that has been one of my more solid decks for a while.
Some thoughts not yet mentioned: Life From the Loam/Crucible of Worlds are so bonkers in any land-abuse deck that they deserve a reminder mention. Constant Mists can single-handedly win you the game if you can keep generating lands and your (remaining) opponents rely on combat damage. Dreamscape Artist. Harrow on a stick. It's so very silly if left alone for a few rounds. Also the flavor is giggleworthy.
If you happen to go into a token direction at all (say, Worm Harvest), Perilous Forays can then positively skyrocket your landfalling.
Those from the top of my head, as I don't have the deck with me atm.

Oh, you mean this one? I've had my eye on it for a while.
It would actually be kind of wacky to use Meloku the Clouded Mirror, bounce a land, sack the token to Perilous Forays, get a land, bounce it with Meloku, and you keep going until your hand is bloated with lands and/or you run out of mana/lands, then you drop them all into play with Manabond.

Yep, that's the one. Forgot that I even uploaded a version of it here ^^;
Also yes, insanity.

I actually want to convert my Tasigur to carry a significant land subtheme.
However, it seems pretty reliant on getting Loam early.
I own a Damia, but still probably choosing Tasigur instead as I can pretty much remove the non-counterspell protection package entirely so I can slot in more draw and control.
This also allows me to run a Worm Harvest as my "durable" win-con that also serves to buy time if the board gets too hostile and I don't have a sweeper.
Storm Cauldron is suprisingly awesome when your lands have ETB effects and/or you have lots of cards that allow you to make extra land drops. (Also super good alongside Root Maze or Frozen Æther).
Horn of Greed is also going to be better for you than for your opponents most of the time.
For style points, get a Spanish copy of Meloku, because she makes 2/2 tokens. (but not actually)
i actualy have been looking into the same thing going token land controll
only issue i see is it not being focused enough
cards that im currently looking at are
and control elements maby some sac control with gravepact and the dictate
but thats the direction i want to head in
btw does any one know other cards that let me get land back from my graveyard to my hand or grave to play
apart from what i listed the only other one i can think of is deprive which allows me to trigger land fall and get a land to retrace for worm harvest as well as countering a spell for cheep
I actually think it's an interesting concept but I wouldn't run bad cards like Flooded Shoreline.
I'd run a lot of manlands (i.e. Creeping Tar Pit) and several cards that allow multiple lands to come into play (i.e. Walking Atlas, Exploration). Win conditions would be not just manlands, but also cards like Worm Harvest.
I would run the same colors, but I'd run some "good stuff" to ensure the deck is consistent (i.e. Future Sight, Phyrexian Arena)
Any ideas?
