This is to open discourse on colors and their representations in decks in EDH, as well as people's personal presences to colors as they think they perform in EDH.
I have 10 EDH decks:
B G W GW GWU GUR R R RW U
Representation: B: 1 U: 3 W: 4 R: 4 G: 4
I have one black deck because it does everything I want black to do. I'm happy playing black goodstuff with demons, bleeders, and sacrifice.
I try to stay away from blue because it's simply too good, especially when paired with other colors (ahem, Simic).
I like challenges in building mono color decks, as I think the more colors you add, the harder it is to avoid goodstuff decks. I try to keep bant away from good stuff by going bird tribal, it still plays to bant's strengths, but keeps thing in check with flavor limits.
Red is really fun and has recently been provided a lot of deck variety; so I've been cycling through a lot of different red builds recently.
Green because I'm a Timmy 4 life and I love big chewy creatures.
I tend to like to favor green and black, but usually i'm pretty evenly spread. This is true with me for pretty much any format i play, from limited to legacy
Broken down by individual colors:

Black is definitely my favorite color in EDH, and my only monocolored deck. It has great creatures, draw, creature kill, wraths, tutors, and ramp in the form of mana doublers.
Blue is my next favorite color, though its third on the representation list behind green. Blue has always been a favorite color, and will most likely be the next monocolored deck I build.
I have noticed that I lack all combinations of I tried building an Aurelia and a Gisela deck, but I find the lack of ramp and card draw makes the color combination feel clunky.
I was introduced to EDh back in late 2007 and my original deck was Braids stax control until she was banned. I also created Merieke as a side deck for duels because I love to play with counter spells.
When Braids was banned as a commander, I rebuilt the deck fro mthe ground up as Kagemaro Mono black Control. When Sworn to Darkness came out, I had to try Gisa and have stuck with her since.
I have created side decks in the past, bu they didn't last long. Lyzolda is one such example. Garza Zol would be another. I just love B. I love using it as a main color, or as a support color. UW is fun, but it is so much ore fun to invite B and get an Esper party started. I have no interest in R and/or G, which is why the previous two examples didn't last long, despite how much I love the flavor and mechanics of the respective creatures.

A clear bias towards the Temur colors. Black is only played in two 3-colour decks. Though I have the resources to build a mono-black deck, just not sure which direction to take it.
But yeah, the simple fact that I have a Simic, Izzet and Gruul deck in the 2-colour section says enough about where my focus tends to be.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Vorosh was originally Prime Speaker Zegana while Zurgo began life as Odric, Master Tactician, who then became Aurelia, The Warleader before getting black, it's new token theme, and it's new general. Seems I'm heavily tilted towards red and black, I think that's just what I have the most resources available to build with. I would have more blue decks but my resources are constrained as some of them are in my friends Intet, the Dreamer deck.
How do people view the strength of each color in their decks?
I used to think red was the weakest EDH color overall (and perhaps others would agree). Mono-red didn't really have a lot of love, and Blue, Green, and Black seemed to the the strongest, especially when paired with each other.
Now I'm starting to look at red in my decks and think that's it's one of the strongest colors in EDH, especially when it comes to support. Mono red is starting to have a variety of decks built around it - in the last month I've build a Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient, which became a Bosh, Iron Golem (mostly all artifacts), and a Jaya Ballard, Task Mage, and a Lovisa Coldeyes, all of them play differently, and all of them can hold their own in multiplayers.
RB is the one red combo I don't like in EDH, but it does have it's place in Grixis in a spellslinger (wheels and discard) or artificer build.
Red actually has some of the best draw with all its different wheel effects, as well as fun stuff like Past in Flames and Fork effects, I think people over look it because it's sort of an "all or nothing" draw, and wheel of fortune is an expensive card these days.
I'd say white is probably the weakest in EDH. In my decks it's a sparse supporting color. My mono-white deck is a weenies & angels build, but draw is still hard outside of artifact help. It's probably the weakest color on it's own, but pretty strong when paired with blue (control) and green (stronger creatures, plus easier draw). I don't like most Boros builds, so my RW deck is giants tribal with Brion Stoutarm at the helm. Boros I feel is pretty week, and if I'm going with weenie soldiers, I think I'd rather just play white.

I don't think there are any weak colors in EDH. Yes, certain colors are stronger than others, but so much of EDH is designing around a general and/or theme. So each color you include is going to support the deck in some shape or form.
That's pretty damn close to each color being in half my decks. I'm working towards having a deck in each color combination, though, so that's not entirely unsurprising.
I have 44 current decks, covering the gamut of color combinations. I currently have no colorless decks, but have at least one mono-colored deck for each color (three for red, 2 for black)
Across all my decks, the color distribution is: W = 20 U = 18 B = 20 R = 25 G = 17
I'm rather surprised that red comes out on top, but it is what it is.
BG is my favorite color combo, and I only have it in one deck. I have two sultai decks and two golgari decks that I "built" years ago but never actually test because they overlap too much with my favorite deck, Karador. I don't want to take cards out to make the other decks. Red is my least favorite color, but it is the third color in three of my decks and works well in them. I like white, but I tend not to like most generals with white in their mana costs. I have realized that I hate boros. There is an Orzhov deck I've been meaning to make. Maybe I should try that out.
Decks im maintaining or building: Rakdos, Temur, Jund, mono W, Grixis, Bant, Naya, Abzan, Dimir and Mardu. W: 5, U: 4, B: 6, R: 6 G: 5. Pretty balanced but i think that is due to the prevalence of wedges and shards.
I find it odd that I play red so much because I think it is a relatively weak colour in EDH. Perhaps i need to play more blue...
There was a point where I was trying to go for a more even distribution of colors in my decks, but I'd rather build something I enjoy playing, and RG is by far my favorite color combination.
For me, it's not about what color is the strongest, but which colors support the kinds of strategies I like the most (all eight of my decks are creature based in some way).

Basically any deck I build that doesn't contain blue is because I want a break from the color or people get mad.
Outside of artifact based red (daretti, norin, bosh.) I'm just really not interested in what Red wants to do (though I note purphoros and krenko are sweet). Recent sets have been kind to red, though. So, this may change.
I have a troubled relationship with white. While probably almost a tie with blue for my favorite color, white is simply so bad in edh, I want to cry. There are few usable/build around mono-colored w generals, and the only way of building card advantage with W in EDH is through: land tax effects, wraths and equipment, which is a particularly narrow deal.
What doesn't green have? Big buff dudes, lots of card advantage, artifact destruction, land destruction, ramp, conditional removal. Love playing green.
Black: a supplement to other colors for tutoring things and blowing up creatures. The end. An incredibly boring color with little flexibility, in my eyes.

These are the lists I currently maintain. I'm not surprised about Jeskai being the most represented colors but I am intrigued that white has the most representation. I wonder if I keep track of every list I build for one-offs or just for fun how the propotions would change.
Personally, I see the relative strength of colors in EDH as U>G>B>R>W (though they're all reasonably close), so I'm not that surprised that U and G ended up so high on my lists. That said, my two favorite decks are probably Athreos and Glissa. I guess I don't find W or B particularly interesting to build, so I tend to stay away from them unless I'm pulled in by a particular Commander. U and G I play more for specific cards than commanders (Cruise, Pod, and Prophet, if I'm being honest). Red is a fantastic support color, but I think its popularity among my lists increased drastically as soon as I picked up a Wheel of Fortune.

Fairly balanced, I seem to lean towards Jeskai colors though. It makes sense, since those colors give me a good scope of shenanigans. I anticipate using more green and less red at some point in the future.
