Might be getting that Holiday gift box (Khans probably) instead of a Fat Pack this year and did not know if people were satisfied with using it as storage for your commander decks? I got two and normally use the box the fat packs come in and the website states it holds up to "two thousand cards". Thoughts.
The boxes this year are pretty weak for some reason. Wizards cheaped out or something because they are not as sturdy as the RTR ones. Mine came with the middle dividers bowed way out of shape and coming off, one if the lid corners ripped and now the lid doesnt sit right. Over on reddit there are people talking about the shoddy quality of this years boxes and I have to agree
I haven't seen the ones this year, but I got one of the RTR ones which was initially torn. I put some duct tape around the sides of the box and cover and now it holds up well. I have about 8-9 EDH decks and a couple 60 card decks in mine.
I'd agree on the lowish quality of the boxes, even my RTR one didnt last the year, I bought a KTK anyways, I fit about 15 EDH in penny sleeves pretty easily.
Agree with those who have said it wasn't very durable. I got the RTR one and it broke in a few months. Just not worth the risk for the $$$ of cards I'm carrying around. I went with one of Aaron Cain's wooden deckboxes, although they're probably a bit pricey for the casual player. Frankly the generic white cardboard boxes used by most stores to store cards are quite durable and dirt cheap. Mine lasted for a few years, and it's still usable, just worn.
I have an RTR box that seems to work fine, but I haven't been using it for long. It holds three decks per row easily with some spare room for tokens or extra sleeves or whatever. I tried to stuff a fourth deck into one row and it bowed out the box and pulled apart the glue a little bit, but it still holds up while sticking to three decks in each. My only complaint is that the box is hard to fit in my bag, but that's a totally different issue.

Yea, Duct Tape is king. I approve.
Wizards should totally commercialize a Holiday Duct Tape product.
I bought the holiday box because it is the perfect size for my cube. I had heard that this year's box wasn't that durable, but got one anyway because you're really only paying an additional couple of bucks for the box after factoring in the booster packs.
The box itself is aesthetically pleasing. It isn't that sturdy, and one corner immediately split (a little bit of scotch tape took care of it). If you choose to get one, I would recommend strengthening the corners right off the bat, and you need to be careful putting the lid on because it can mess up end cards similar to how fat pack lids can. For me, the box is nice because I use it as a storage box for home that I rarely transport, but if you are looking for something you can take with you to the LGS every time you go out to play, I wouldn't get one.
I would suggest you just go out and buy one of those white cardboard boxes to hold your cards. Many LGS sell them for only a buck or two. I've had mine for many years and are still in decent shape.
Another thing I forgot to mention - the lid of the box is not very secure. If you try to store it upright (like you probably would put it in a bag), you have to be very careful to not lose the lid and dump everything out. It's a pretty tight fit in my bag, so it stays shut well enough in there, but I still need to be careful getting it in and out.

I added some duct tape around the lip of the box as well as the sides, so that the lid fits more snugly.
Hey thanks for the help. I returned the box and got a fat pack. Pulled 2 fetches, and some Temur material. Looks like I might have a third commander deck in the works using Sarrak Dragonclaw.

Major thanks to Traprootkami for the signature.
I think the only thing that kinda holds my attention is the cracking of four packs which is nothing special.
