Hi folks,
Recently re-activated my account here on the forums. I have started construction on a new commander deck and things are going "hit and miss" during the construction and need some help deciding on which path to follow after the holidays. I was currently running a Jund deck, and I do enjoy the aggressive deck types. I am currently running Anafenza, the Foremost as my commander and developing a humans deck in vain of the old days when Innistrad humans were doing things. However, the thing looks more like Azban midrange / Junk until the Holiday's end which might toss me the new commander deck for white.
However, my question is should I peruse a GWB humans deck or did Naya or after doing some research Esper humans for more performance in competitive settings?
To confirm, you want a humans tribal deck but want to know the best shard/wedge (three colors) to build around?
Pretty much. Right now the list can go in just about any direction. I have mostly the GW staples but not sure what would get me over the hump overall. Does it pretty much come down to me losing aggressive early plays for a more midgame range for switching from red in Naya to black in Azban?
Naya (GWR) would be the direction I would go. Innistrad block gives you a few really good cards for that deck, plus you get some solid generals to work with.

Care to explain?
See that's what I have noticed is that RTR came up with a lot of Gruul humans such as Rubblehide Raider. So I guess keep the green into creatures and ramp. Just not sure which commander now to do, back to research. Toughie.
As a huge proponent of Tribal Humans in EDH, there are a couple different avenues.
I currently run GW humans with Selvala, Explorer Returned at the helm. She ramps, she draws cards, and ultimately lets me keep up the pressure. By running only two colors you not only have a more stable/consistent mana base, but you do lose out on some humans in the other colors. I would suggest adding in some Angels, not only as bigger threats but as flavorful companions as well.
One thing that Humans do exceptionally well is combo. The old Aristocrats deck from Innistrad/RTR Standard was Human-based. There is a Karador list and my own Anafenza list that both follow this path to victory. Also, someone has made a Kaalia of the Vast list that plays like the old Aristocrats deck.

We already have a Boros player in our group along with a bunch of mono-red (Derretti) and Naya players. Kinda have this thing where we want variety. Plus doesn't help when I am the guy who feels weird when people order the same thing at a meal.

Sounds like I am splitting hairs here.

I was thinking along the lines of Hazezon Tamar, Marath, Will of the Wild, or Gahiji, Honored One depending on how much you want to commit to certain themes.
As for good Innistrad cards that would raw you into red, check out Kessig Malcontents, Riot Ringleader, and especially Vigilante Justice.

Already have tokens. However, those cards have already been added to the line up.
