Protection doesn't do anything for spells on the stack, so it doesn't do anything to counterspells.

I need a creature that can search for ANY land at 4 mana or less. Maybe 5 mana if it was a 4/4 creature or bigger. I just need a recurrable way to search utility lands in Karador.

Realm Seekers is the closest I think we're ever gonna get that's not banned, lol.

I liked that card at first, but at the 6 cmc slot, it just didn't do enough. I never even got around to testing it because I cannot find a slot in my Karador deck for a 6 mana guy that didn't have immediate impact. I would probably try one out in a more casual deck, but I would really like something at 4 mana for my Birthing Pod Chain. Even it was 4 mana to tutor to hand, I would still give it a try as long at it was 2 power or less. That shouldn't be broken right?
