The cat legends aren't terribly conducive towards the deck being lead by one, the only multicolored cat legend would be Jedit Ojanen. My wife has a cat-themed deck and it's GW, running Trostani or Sissay as the crazy-cat-lady leader of the pack.
Naya contains most of Magic's cats, a handful exist in black and blue, but if you insist on multicolor it is best to stick with the three dominant colors(I would personally recommend mono-white so Raksha Golden Cub or Kemba, Kha Regent could be your general).
Those are the only non-W cats I'd want to play. Mirri's her own deck (Hatred FTW), Maaka's for budget/theme voltron, and some of these choices most people would say aren't strong enough for EDH. The War-Pride can have some tricks. GW might be strong considering the power of the Nishobas. Random protections are sometimes a blow out and the Phantom Nishoba has pseudo-lifelink. Pseduo-indestrucibliity, too, if you include some Anthem effects.
I think I'd build a Captain Sisay deck with a cat subtheme. She can tutor all those good GW legends, legendary equipment, and legendary kitties with equipment matters.
My buddy has a cat-themed Raksha Golden Cub deck (you can check it out HERE). Like most people have said, it's not terribly competitive, but the deck is straightforward to play and a great way to get to learn to play the game (my buddy is actually using it for this purpose w/ his GF).
ALTHOUGH, I want it multi-colored in order to get some of the "cuter" or more BA cats.
Suggestions?
Gahiji, Honored One and Marath, Will of the Wild both have some cat elements in their beastly composition. Mayael the Anima is a solid crazy cat lady, but her ability doesn't hit many of her pets.
Because cats are so competitive a tribe. I doubt this is a concern.

Captain Sisay can tutor up the legendary kitties. Gaddock Teeg can stop Wrath effects. Krond the Dawn-Clad is sorta riding a kitty and supports an enchantment subtheme (Ajani's Chosen). Tolsimir Wolfblood provides two anthem effects.

Whatever you end up choosing, remember to include CAT-tastrophe and CAT-aclysm].
