I have a feeling this card might be somewhat good in token based decks or decks that have a lot of underpowered utility creatures. This is far from a staple, but I am wondering what people think of this card.
First off, a 5/5 for 5 mana with trample is solid stats. Next, the ability is pretty cheap, turning my Elvish Visionary and Wood Elves into 5/5s for 2 mana is pretty good. AND they gain trample. Turning my tokens into 5/5s is good too, kind of like a mini overrun. Of course, the downside is they don't stack, and it doesn't pump creatures that are bigger than 5/5s. However, it does make cards like Bane of Progress and Scavenging Ooze a lot bigger with their +1/+1 counters and gives them trample.
So, what do people think? Am I overvaluing this card?
5/5 Trample for 5 is less than solid stats in the EDH format, where a 6/6 flying lifelink for W is only pretty good.
It can buff up your other creatures, but it costs two mana per activation and doesn't provide all that much buffing.
Would you rather activate this three times, or Kamahl, Fist of Krosa's overrun (with 1 extra floating after)?
If you want a thing that buffs guys, go for really buff for cheaper (Gigantomancer) or mass buff (Kamahl), or even mass buff for free (Thunderfoot Baloth).

I think it will be good in decks like Marath, and Xenagos. You're right, the buff is awesome when it's on a base 0/0 with counters on it. Also, a small disposable creature becomes awesome. The trample is good, and I'm sure it's just about every Xenagos player that's done a search for the best cards with Trample. It might also have some decent defensive applications in multiplayer by using tokens to deter attacks.
I feel like I would rather be playing Craterhoof Behemoth and trying to win on the spot. Creeperhulk lends itself to overrun strategies, but I'm more a fan of the immediate burst of "holy crap" damage boost over the incremental power of creeperhulk.

You're overvaluing it a little. Activating it once or twice is cute, but in general if you have a bunch of utility creatures, Kamahl and/or Craterhoof are just going to be better an overwhelming majority of the time.

And ya wanna make friends at the ATM, Do the Creep (Aaaah), Do the creep (Ooooh).
I don't feel Creeperhulk is too great in Tokens, since it's a single target buff for two mana. Any token deck is going to have more than one target to buff, so it's going to be a little taxing on the mana.
Now, where I feel Creeperhulk will have a place is Radha, Heir to Keld Voltron. In that deck it's basically a downpayment on a Giant Growth turn after turn that costs no cards.

Creeperhulk in Voltron is actually a really cool use I hadn't thought of; the ability to continuously pump (namely your general) a single creature to large stats seems like a strong use of the card.

Aye. I know it'll pull work with Radha, but I'm wondering what it will do (if anything, which is doubtful) for Rafiq of the Many. A lot of his creatures revolve around Exalted to pump them up with double strike, so you could turn a Cold-Eyed Selkie into Big/Big Trample/Doublestrike for that swing. Might be kinda durdly compared to most Rafiq lists, though.

How about this in Skullbriar? He is a 1/1 at base stats and holds his counters. Seems like a decent option for the mana to give Skullbriar +4/+4 every turn plus the counters he already has, which should be a few.
I think the Trample also would be one of those unsung perks for decks like Skullbriar and Rafiq. You can get things as big as you want, but if they bounce off Bitterblossom tokens, it doesn't matter. And for anyone that's looked, evasion is really tough to get out of Equipment and Auras at a reasonable cost.
I'm going to try him in Yisan. My 5 drops are a bit light and despite originally being run as filler, Elder of Laurels has been surprisingly good there.
EDIT: It also lets you get more mileage out of ferocious/Naya cards (eg: Spearbreaker Behemoth) and "fight" effects. The threat of becoming 5/5 will let some tokens swing in instead of being stonewalled by a random 3/3 or 2/x with a big butt.
It's not good in tokens, but it's solid in decks that have a bunch of small utility creatures.
Unlike Gigatomancer, Creeperhulk can actually swing and deal some damage. It also gives trample.
Khamal's ability is only good if you have a lot of creatures and if you have 2GGG to spare
Cratehoof is useless if you can't nuke someone.
He's a solid and possibly a more consistent than the options above.
its one of those cards that's good in the precon, but easily overlooked everywhere else.
I however may run it if i ever decide to pick up the green one. Its okay for casual games and my playgroup is casual (To the point of taking back turns. Proxies Laughing, drinking, and just having a good time.)
