In those colors, I would go for Armageddon and other LD stuff. And Stax. Winter Orb, Stasis and other stax cards, which doesn't bother me, because I can cast 4 spels each turn without needing access to mana.
Decided to proxy up a deck with this commander, she's fairly dumb I have to say. I'm playing 7 extra attack cards and 5 extra turn cards. Hitting even one of them just starts the infinite value train.
Anyone tryed something like that? Some fire card to suggest?
Thanks, David.
PS: Narset is a female or a male? Both?!
As a general type of thing, burn is not terribly well suited to multiplayer due to the increased number of players. This is especially the case in commander where life totals are 40. However, it is possible. Difficult... but possible. I tried it with Gisela myself once and it worked moderately well in a casual group. I'm not sure how well Narset will do with it though. Definitely not the worst choice though.
As for card suggestions, a lot of people knock it in commander, but the classic Lightning Bolt is still really good. In my experience, there is always some form of frustrating utility creature to get rid of or a chump blocker to clear and this is the best way to do it. Additionally, any X burn spell or if it says to exile the creature that turn if it dies. For example, Red Sun's Zenith
PS: I'm fairly positive from the art that Narset is female, but I am not totally sure.
A Narset burn deck is not very simple to play, I'm sure. And generally Narset deck is not simple to build. I don't like voltron deck, at the same time I'm aware of the perfect fit of Narset in a voltron deck, but i'm sure Narset represent the best chance to have a uwr EDH deck.
About narset ability, her ability permit to play cards avoiding time restriction? Like cascade? If the answer is no, can you explain me the difference about cascade and Narset ability?
About burn deck, test feedback is really negative But Narset seems not the responsible of disaster. The archetype seems really difficult to be a bit competitive in this format.
The 4 cards are exiled with Narset, those two cards don't let you play exiled cards. (As far as I understand "play": cast from your hand)
Narset let you play NON-creature from their exiled state for free.
How do these two cards help a Narset EDH deck exactly ??

They still have their own timing restrictions.
Well, I think it's worse than that; not only the timing is still wrong, but exiled creatures will always stay exiled, even with Orrery or Leyline in play... unless there's something I don't quite grasp in the sequence.

You can cast them during your turn as if they were in your hand with 0 cmc, so sorceries and other non instants are at sorcery speed during the second main phase, and instants during any step you want after they are exiled.
Orrery just allows you to skip those restrictions with those and other cards in hand as well.

You're clearly missing the point. You're not trying to cast critters. You're trying to play non-instant spells besides the second main (namely during combat). A Mass Calcify before blockers is pretty boss, for example.
Flash also becomes hugely important when you're going with an enchantment voltron build as I intend to do - you can slap your enchantments onto Narset before combat damage is dealt, greatly increasing her chances of survival and the commander damage she'll deal. I'm hoping the Jeskai Ascendancy will give your noncreature cards Flash for this reason. Would fit the clan pretty well in my opinion and just work so well with Narset.
... (As far as I understand "play": cast from your hand) ...
This is not correct. Vedalken Orrery and Leyline of Anticipation both let you cast spells as though they had flash from anywhere, as long as you could cast them normally if they had flash. This includes your commander, cards exiled by narset, not just cards in your hand.
Flash aside, what do you guys think would be great combat trick instants for Narset? I'm talking about cards that let her attack into larger blockers and still come out on top or just deal huge amounts of surprise burst damage. Of course, removal like Swords to Plowshares is pretty good at clearing the way for her, but then again that's good in every white deck - maybe we can dig a bit deeper here? The new Jeskai combat trick, Flying Crane Technique, is obviously geared for having a larger army, by herself Narset only gains three damage due to the double strike from it.

Why would you want her in combat?
Give her unblockable or pro creatures so she is more likely to connect while not dying in combat.

I was thinking the same. Equipments, enchantments giving you unblockable, protection from colors or creatures so she will always hit. Then add cards for multiple combat steps, time magic and you are done. I was thinking about cards such as Blood lust, but there are not that much cards which boost her(duh, I miss G here).
About cards can be involved in an EDH deck, Omen Machine can be a good resource to moderate decks with heavy drawing mechanics and do not inibith Narset abilities. Otherwise Fact or Fiction and similar abilities can be played without restrictions. Also Future Sight and similar continue to be useful.

If you were to do some form of token type strategy, that could help, but at the very least, it's double strike to advance the commander damage clock.
Ok, I might have gone absolutely bonkers, but this is a brainstorming thread sooo...
I've seen a lot of things so far along the lines of using a no-creature build and Proteus Staff to stack any four cards you want on the top of your library. What happens if those four cards are Leyline of Anticipation/Vedalken Orrery, Enduring Ideal, Eternal Dominion, and Undying Flames? The Epic cards may not be very good on their own, but if you cast them all instant-speed before any one of them resolve, they could be powerful effects together.
Yes, I'm aware there are going to be better combos that win the game right away. I'm just thinking of something that might be very interesting and fun.
I don't know if this has around been said but I would just stack the deck with extra turn cards, extra attacks, and big stupid spells. I've played tested this and most of the time I burn through my deck by turn 5 or 6. Works pretty consistent.
Deck with lot of enchantments and equipments, Silent Arbiter, Open the Vaults, Steel of the godhead, and similar spells.
Add some counterspells, gods from theros. Iroas, god of victory, Keranos, god of storms, Thassa, god of the Sea are good.
I would add Tidespout Tyrant and Burnished Hart. Also Strionic Resonator will be insane with her.
As someone mentioned above, Leyline of Anticipation and Vedalken Orrery will be a must in this deck.
Cipher cards, such as Stolen Identity and Hidden Strings are good because to remove them, they need to kill her.
She will need cards such as Furnace of rath, Dictate of the twin gods or True Conviction similar to maximize her potential. Because I think, she will be the type of general "win until turn or you lost".
Anyone tryed something like that? Some fire card to suggest?
Thanks, David.
