MTG Salvation

So I decided its time to build something new, but I am literally stuck on no ideas. I have come to the community to seek advice on my next build.
Currently in use:
Derevi Simic Wizard infused
Ghave Fungus Tribal
Nicol Bolas Grixis Chaos
Sydri Artifacts
Borborygmos and Friends

So now the question is what next.

Well, you seem to have chosen some straightforward generals and did something less straightforward with them.
Use those creative juices and check some of the least played generals and see what you could cook up with them? Pharika maybe? Maybe some old weird general no one has ever heard of?

Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero is super fun.

I think my next project is going to be Sol'Kanar the Swamp King Grixis storm. So basically just Grixis storm with a general with a fun name and cool art for colors.

Why not try a monocolor deck? Those are often very fun to build because you need to dig very deep into the card pool to find ways for your color to answer the problems it's going to face. They are usually cheaper to build then dual or tricolor deck, since you wont have need for rarelands.manabase

I also second the idea of an old weird general. Those will always earn style points for using a card that everyone else skipped over. I was going through a card box today and pulled out a Radha, Heir to Keld; there must be some way to put that RR to constant use.

I agree that a mono-colored deck seems to be missing here. What's interesting is that you have 3 of every color represented in your deck except for red, which has two, so if you're OCD enough you could build mono-red. However, mono-red isn't super strong and usually involves chaos which you've already done. Thus, I think a mono black or mono white control deck could be good for you. Maybe something like a Skithiryx mono black control deck with him as the finisher? Tons of removal and group discard. Or mono white control with Mageta the Lion as a reusable field wipe?

If not those, there are definitely many archetypes that come to mind that seem to be missing from your arsenal. Izzet spellslinger with Melek or Nin, reanimator, stax, etc.

So I think im gonna build Tsabo Tavoc. Sort of a kill them all and recruit them. Using Grave Betrayal and its ilk. Hopefully comes together nicely. Thanks guys I shall let you know how it goes over the next few weeks.

I usually try and find a card or a mechanic that I can use as an inspiration card. I find that it's usually a fun way to build unique decks that aren't necessarily "good stuff" decks. I also only build 2 color decks with Female generals

Hanna (Master Transmuter)
Radha (Vigor)
Nin, The Pain Artist (Control Magic)
Teysa (No Mercy)
Prime Speaker (Merfolk)
Vela (Magical Hack)

If you're considering Tsabo Tavoc, maybe you might also want to consider Olivia Voldaren as a possible candidate.

She costs less to cast, can get rid of most creatures (not just Legends) and forces other creatures to obey your orders (provided you have the mana of course) without the help of other cards!

I would but my buddy plays her quite consistently and I dont want to be stepping on his toes. So for now Spider Woman it is.

Mogis, God of Slaughter could be another option though I think his deck will probably be a more aggressive shell than Tsabo or Olivia
