Just a random thought, has anyone ever killed their opponent with general damage from that person's own general? I started thinking more of this and thought it might be kinda fun to build a deck based on this. Deffinately R/U to have access to all the control magic and threaten type cards. Maybe using nin for the commander so after smacking someone in the face with their own general you can kill it for card draw. What are your thoughts?
I've done it while playing Bruna. Gisela player dropped Razia's Purification, and I chose to keep Kor Haven and two lands. Stalled him until I got three more land drops and top decked Corrupted Conscience to snatch his Gisela.
It wasn't lethal general, but he had no answers when he checked his top few cards afterwards anyway.
Killed my buddy with his own Karona, False God before, but the rest of the table helped. Got him another time with her as well, but the 30-odd Kobold tokens arguably did the actual damage.

Not like you needed it to be lethal general damage with Infect.
I've used Karrthus to steal another player's Rith back when I played Scion, but the lethal damage came from the fact that I had also used Patriarch's Bidding that turn and swung for overkill damage on everyone (amusing fact about PBidding: it brings back creatures of each chosen type from all graveyards, not just each player's own as several people I know assume).

I once got killed by my own Dralnu, Lich Lord.
It was an early volition reigns followed by nine turns of lands and stuff that got countered. All in all a miserable showing.
I've copied a Sliver Overlord and took control of the original (Pitching the copy afterwards). Began taking other slivers from his board and hitting him with Overlord. Game was over a couple of turns after that.
I've had the honor of doing it once, when I was playing Barrin, Master Wizard as the general, I stole the Sharuum the Hedgemon from the Sharuum player and 5 attacks later, whoops he's dead to his own general everyone at the table laughed cause I killed a combo deck with it.
My Pirate deck routinely steals everything it can, especially opposing Generals. There is also a Karona deck in my meta. While I don't play it myself, Cultural Exchange is a highly viable card, and I have received a gift of an opposing General before. Also, I have gotten self-commander kills via both Reflect Damage and especially Mirror Strike, as the latter lasts the entire turn. Thank you mr. double striking Godo for 11 damage per hit.
Glare Caster could do it as well, but you'd probably need to flash it out for the surprise factor, and that gets mana intensive fast.

I had to check out your profile to determine if you were the person in my group who did that to me LoL... i don't think you are though, so that's great it happens elsewhere too.
way back in the day when linvala was my angel deck's general, I evangelized quite a few generals to great success. my own avacyn has been mind controlled and bludgeoned me to death a few times as well.

Not so. From what I've seen, most groups play with 10 infect.
Interesting. That would make infect pretty anti-fun to play against in commander. Pretty easy to make broken decks with it I think. Rosewater said that there are no set rules, but that seemed a fair way to play it and I agree.

Outside of a handful of cards, getting 10 poison on someone is fairly difficult. And at anything higher than 10, I'd rather try to fo for a kill via general damage. And even if you do pick off a player with poison, good luvk with trying to finish off everyone else at the table without dying next.

corrupted conscience on a nekusar and a big enough mass draw/windfall can kill the entire table at the same time. I've seen it happen more than once.

I thought most people played infect in this way:
Starting Life/2=Lethal Poison
Modern Warp / UR Control / UR Storm / Naya Breachshift / ElectroBalance
Solidarity / Lands / Sneak and Show / Grixis Delver / Reanimator / Belcher / Storm / Dredge
Not really. Most people don't see poison being that threatening.
