What has been your most memorable or favorite uses of a well timed non-instant spell?
Suppose that you have a way to cast spells at any time you could cast an instant, from shimmer myr to leyline of anticipation or prophet of kruphix; playing Draw-land-Go on your turn, casting spells when they are best timed.
My personal favorite has been warp world. I've cast it during an otherwise lethal combat as a fog, and in response to the final piece of a combo being cast.
What spells have you interrupted another player with that took them aback?
Shimmer Myr, oh how much my group hates that card. I'll be playing Arcum Daggson/Karn, Silver Golem, and I'll have 20+ cards in hand, and at least 15 artifacts on the board, not counting the artifact land(s). They know its going to happen, but they have nothing they can do about it. They swing for lethal on me.
It goes to me declaring blockers, I flash in Shimmer Myr, flash in Mycosynth Golem for free, cast the majority of my hand for free, use one of the 6 ways to make infinite mana in my deck to make said infinite mana, kill each opponent, win the game, then usually say some really smug line like, 'oh, did you want me to declare blockers now?'
Felidar Sovereign at EOT before my upkeep. With Counterspell support to stop any instant speed removal or burn.
I also always seem to have Recurring Insight with a Leyline out so I love casting that EOT. Drawing 10-20 cards and having all you mana untapped is awesome.
Here's another fun play using the Leyline, from my Sygg, River Cutthroat deck:
End of opponent's turn, cast Massacre Wurm, cast Infinite Reflection on Massacre Wurm. On my turn, I return Reassembling Skeleton to the battlefield; in response to its Massacre Wurm trigger, I flash out two more Massacre Wurms. My opponents each lost 8 life for each creature they had that was 8/8 or smaller.

Just to clarify, you don't need refuge for this. miracle allows you to cast it anyway. similar to how madness creatures can be cast at instant speed. Miracle is a trigger that allows you to cast the card regardless of timing.
I was playing mono-white tokens with kemba at the head of the deck. The game was progressing relatively slowly, until I dropped a sol ring, marble diamond, and Winding Canyons, then on the next time around the table, during the opponents endstep before my turn, I zapped in Felidar Sovereign for the win.

I also used to love using Quicken to throw around Insurrection as an impromptu fog. Dropping Nevinnyral's Disk at end of turn is pretty tech.

Bravo, that is an awesome play.

Thoughts on proxies:
Opponent: Elesh Norn
Opponent casts Cackling Counterpart targeting Elesh Norn.
In response:
'sup?
(Bonus points: Genesis was in play, and the Norn token made him dead, exactly the way I wanted him.)
