I'm thinking of building a 5-color "chaos" deck with Possibility Storm, Scrambleverse, etc. I know people have mixed reactions about these types of decks though. Some find them very fun, others find them annoying and think they randomize the game too much. I won't be including stuff that's too ridiculous like Eye of the Storm or Grip of Chaos.
I'd just like to know the community's opinion on these types of decks, and if you would recommend or recommend against any specific cards for the deck.

I voted yes. While I may complain during the game about how much my head hurts from rules interactions and such, I ultimately enjoy the challenge of beating the chaos deck.
It's also fun for me to add to the chaos just to see what will happen.
EDIT: A five color Shared Fate deck intrigues me...

On Mythic Rares: "What's next, Wizards will print six golden Black Lotuses and randomly place them in boosters, and if someone gets one, they get to tour the Wizards facility?"
I don't like playing against them, personally. When I sit down at the table with a chaos deck, I usually gun for them first, not because I hate them but because they make it harder for my deck to function.
I don't hate them, but I wouldn't wanna play against them too consistently.
I think it depends on how the deck is being used. For instance, if Grip of Chaos is played because LOL SO RANDUM then I probably won't like playing against it. If it's played because the player has all mass destruction spells, no spot removal, and this was intentional, then that's another thing. In that case, it's not chaos, it's deliberate card advantage.
I myself voted yes cause even when I'm not piloting my Nicol Bolas chaos deck(which is being tuned to cast just a bunch Epic spells off Epic Experiment on top of Eye of the Storm hehe), it is always a new game, not ince has it won the same way.
I am okay with playing them once a night tops, certainly not over and over. I will say when I play pick up games at shops I scoop to scambleverse. Too easy to have cards walk away, on accident or purpose. I am pretty sure this is how I already lost a survival of the fittest. The worst feeling ever is counting a deck and being short a card:/
Chaos usually ends up being the same thing as group hug. "Let's wheel of fortune, rather than do something about the guy with a commanding board position." "I'm gonna play this Timesifter and you're not getting another turn unless you get lucky, sound fun?"
The occasional well-made chaos deck that not only creates chaos but does it in a way that puts the wielder ahead is really fun to find and watch go, but its exceptionally rare.
I'm perfectly fine playing against these decks in a 1v1 matchup, by the way. And I won't harp on you for bringing a stupid deck in a multiplayer game, its just that it ends up being awkward.
I don't mind them as a concept, but hate playing against them in real life. They just seem to bog games down; every target is randomized, or I have to sort through my deck whenever I cast a spell.
Chaos for the sake of chaos is a great way to lose friends and get really bored really quickly. You can only do so much to screw the state of something without a goal in mind before you lose the will to continue doing so. What's the point, after all?
Chaos in the effort to glean an advantage out of it is fun and variable. You know why you're doing something, so how are you going to get the best advantage out of the situation?

Tantarus: It didn't make the gaka greifer level, so it should be fine
To better specify my opinion I agree with others. If you're playing cards just to either accelerate the board state or just make things dumb, I dislike it. If you're doing it as a strategy, then I won't be upset. Being the kaalia player who drops Grip of Chaos as a way to make spot removal irrelevant is a strong play, and I can't be mad at them for it. Being that guy who drops t just for giggles, is another matter.
Its like hugs. If you're playing hugs to try and diplomatically get your way to second place, knowing that one you get there you can secure victory for yourself, or at least have a much better chance this way, it's great. If you're playing the hippo and just dropping mana flare to watch everyone else vet to endgame faster with no real plan, I WILL do my best to hate you off the board.
The general "plan" is to set up a pillowfort early game with Collective Restraint, Ghostly Prison, or Propaganda. Step 2 is to try and inhibit opponents from carrying out their gameplan. This is where I think the "chaos" part will come in; cards like Possibility Storm, Teferi's Puzzle Box, and Psychic Battle should be able to stop opponents from doing what they want to do. The win condition will be Progenitus general damage or something else I haven't thought of yet. The deck planning is still in its early stages, obviously.

I enjoy it, I run both Possibility Storm and Knowledge pool in Jhoira, and it always makes for a more fun board state.
My play group also enjoys Planechase though too, so yeah.
this is a good point. Normally just putting planechase in the equation raises the fun level rediculous, and it's chaos is a little more controlled. I'd probably not be down for planechase + a chaos deck though, unless I"m ready for a 4hour game.

Sometimes it can be funny. Having a four player game with Daiochan, Artful Beauty, Zo-Zu, the Punisher, Fumiko, the Lowblood and Lovisa Coldeyes as the commanders is hilarious. The games are extremely short, and tons of shenanigans happen.
On the flip side, if everyone pulls out their competitive decks and one person is still using a chaos deck, it's less fun.
