overlaid terrain + this card + one land after the first card = all basics back in play that make double mana of any color. So a 4 mana improved doubling season
If you could.. Play all lands in your hand each turn?
You got 15 Oracle of Mul'daya's on the field or am I missing something?

This only returns the lands to your hand, so you would still have to take the amount of turns needed to replay all of your lands at one per turn. It would go a bit faster if you had cards like Exploration, Burgeoning, or Oracle of Mul Daya, but it's not really that strong and I'd rather just have another doubler like Mana Reflection.
From MLD, to pitching/looting, to sac effects, there's a lot of reasons you could want to run this card. So how would you use it?
I If I had a sac effect I could it with Nykthos. I would get all of that sweet devotion, sac it, bring it back to hand, and get more sweet devotion. Or you could always use gaea's cradle.

The last random card works with this too.(Haunted fengraf)
Unfortunately, it's limited to basics.
The previous suggestions of Trade Routes or Borborygmos Enraged were very good uses of the card, though. Fine with decks that use dredge quite a bit, to ensure you continue hitting land drops.
Shame he's the same color as Life From the Loam, which outclasses him, especially in terms of survivability of the engine. Though, if you want redundancy or don't want to risk dredging away important stuff, he's a fair substitute.
Seems pretty sweet in a Borborygmos Enraged deck. Basically a 2 mana repeatable lightning bolt.
It rules in Angry Borb. Often I can sacrifice some basics to Scapeshift into Valakut + Vesuva + Thespian and then Groundskeeper the mountains back to hand for 9-bolts.

Wow I missed that. Well there goes my vote. I'm sure it's ok in some decks, I'd just rather have stuff like loam.
It's... Kinda useful in dredge. I mean it lets you abuse dredge while still hitting land drops. It just seems like a corner case for me, because when I personally play dredge I never like dredging multiple draws for turn in a row because I feel like it narrows what I am able to do more than I'd like. It may be better with most dredge decks to keep dredging, but it's less fun if I'm not casting spells.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
Unfortunately every try hard from Sacramento to Shanghai preaches from the top of their 27 lands + Mana Reflection that Tooth and Nail and Time Stretch are fine to play in the same turn but Armageddon is unfair.
Sure, there are janky-combo situations in which he's probably okay, but I imagine there's always another card that would work even better in those jank combos, and which wouldn't completely suck outside the combos, so I can't see including this guy when building my deck.
In pauper, I suppose. Tribal monk, maybe, since that's a pretty limited card pool... but does anyone do monk tribal? Anything else? Really hard to imagine.
There are plenty of other lifegain effects I would run over this guy, even if they weren't immediate lifegain. The problem is that the gain that he gives is so minor, especially in this format. Even in a Human Monk Cleric tribal deck, I'd probbly find other things I'd rather run over this card.
Yeah, unfortunately this one doesn't have any real relevance. I suppose it was bound to happen every now and again. Even in tribal/pauper decks, I can't see this seeing any play.
Maybe, for the future, we should filter out all vanilla creatures/french vanilla creatures. I know this doesn't qualify, but that way we don't discuss Grizzly Bears all day.
I'd consider running it in a dedicated flicker deck, if only becasue its a low enough threat that it's more likely to stick than some other similar options.
You're lucky enough to get one bounce off Lone Missionary or Archon of Redemption, but you might actually get a healthy dose of triggers off of this.

I'll consider it. I agree that the thought of wasting them on Grizzly Bears is bad, but at the same time that defeats the purpose of random if I'm screening the cards.

Otherwise yeah, bad card is bad.
Add Drogskol Reaver and it's not that bad a card. (And if you squint, you can pretend Reaver has a mustache.)

Moustache tribal would be the easiest Tribal deck to make.
All you need are cards and a pencil.

Hmm.... Pauper ETB deck maybe? I can't really think of a deck in which I'd want an ETB gain two life vanilla dude.

This monk is pretty much a skunk.
I can't remember if I ever played him in limited but he seems bad there too.
GWB Junk Stax Ghave BWG
Yeah, but I'm trying to curb as much spam as possible, especially when there will be plenty of days like today when the card is utter EDH garbage.
This needs to be a deck.
Thanks, I'm happy to steal ideas from other forums.
