This is why I started playing magic in the first place. It wasn't PT aspirations just making noobs cry by doing things that are perfectly fair.
Every once in a while I'll see this card and think that it might be decent to run as a lifegain effect late game (especially in green decks that have Life from the Loam or Crucible of Worlds). Then there are the times in my league where whoever has the fewest lands in play at the end of the game gets a point and I really think it will be handy.
Then I remember Zuran Orb is a thing and I forget about this card.

Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
I still have a pang of sadness when I see this card. Great art and good flavor text in my favorite color combination... and completely unplayable. *sigh*

I know! I know! Put it in a Pauper Immerwolf deck.
This is actually a wonderful idea. Thank you for it lol
Except that there's like 6 werewolves playable in that deck. It would basically be wolf tribal.
Today's card: That landfall deck sounds fun.

Oh my god I think I have all these cards. Combine them with Elesh Norn, Craterhoof Behemoth, and some overrun effects and you've got a deck. I think I found a new Ghave deck.

Martyr's Bond - unfortunately says "non-land" but still good with Ghave. Particularly if you can animate opposing lands and use it like a grave pact, speaking of-

Grab the decent landbase to go with it and at least Bojuka Bog out of the etb lands and it should be fun.
If you want to be silly you can also add in Life and Limb and/or Sporemound. I am not sure what else you might want, maybe Horn of Greed or Storm Cauldron if you can find an interesting synergy/combo with bouncing lands to your hand.

I dunno... Zuran Orb is an artifact. Three out of five colours have dedicated artifact removal cards, many of which appear commonly in decks. Only two colours typically hate on enchantments. I've also noticed that the Zorb tends to draw more attention because of its history in the game. Overgrown Estate might take someone off guard.
When looking at cards like this we have to really look: i mean what is the difference of this compared to zuran orb?
For exsample i myself play Null Rod and Stony Silence in my Teneb, the Harvester deck. A deck like that could get better use of it than zuranOrb.
Additional good in enchantments matter decks with Enchantress's Presence or Serra's Sanctum.
Also gives Devotion to some gods.
I think that if you want to sacrifice lands there are cards that get you more for your sacrifice than Gift of Estates, but if you are looking at mass-sacrifice and abuse of Planar Birth, Second Sunrise, etc. then it may be worthwhile.
This makes me want to look at what ABU creatures would still be playable today. Except for a couple clones and a few mana dorks, it's mostly limited at best.

(Also, it took until Juvenile Gloomwidow for a spider to actually have venom. And the only spider which is a spider in the multiplayer sense is Tangle Spider, which is really bad. This amuses me.)
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Have you ever used Guided Passage? That card is so much fun.
I've had to pick cards out of someone's deck. Felt like I was giving them way too much value for 3 mana. Seriously that card is good. Even if the worst creature you can pull out of the deck is Birds of Paradise, that's still ramp, they're getting a land and then there's the non-creature, non-land card to find. Armillary sphere costs 4 mana to get 2 lands and it still sees play.
Despite this being a good card in a vacuum, and with an effect that most decks absolutely want, I just can't see myself wanting to expend a six-drop slot to run this card. (And I guess the fact that it's a rare card which hasn't been reprinted since Legends and is only $10 on SCG means not many other people want it as well.)
5/5.
This is actually a wonderful idea. Thank you for it lol

You could run both in a BGW deck for redundancy, together with Planar Birth, Second Sunrise, Ob Nixilis, the Fallen(and any other color identity appropriate landfall cards), Terravore and Knight of the Reliquary. Kind of a landfall/lands in the graveyard matter
Add a Worm Harvest, Life from the Loam and Crucible of Worlds, and you might have yourself a deck that's still horrible, but at least it has a fun engine going.
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.

Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
You can also add in things like the cycling lands to go with Life from the Loam and decent landfall triggers like
Beating Face with Bane
Beatrice, the Golden Witch

A few more cards that come to mind, some of which also have good synergy with Ghave, some where lands (or number of lands) matter.

i feel zuran orb single handedly makes this card undesirable.
Primer - Mishra, Artificer Prodigy
Thor, Ragnar Röks!
Hela, and the Enemies of Asgard
Teferi, Temporal Archmage
It's also in Sun Titan range.

Brago, King Eternal | Oona, Queen of the Fae | Wort, Boggart Auntie | Wort, the Raidmother
Captain Sisay | Rhys, the Redeemed | Trostani, Selesnya's Voice | Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight | Obzedat, Ghost Council | Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind | Vorel of the Hull Clade
Uril, the Miststalker | Prossh, Skyraider of Kher | Nicol Bolas | Progenitus
Ghave, Guru of Spores | Zedruu the Greathearted | Damia, Sage of Stone | Riku of Two Reflections
That's not a cheap Plague Wind, though.
Okay, yeah, those three, Birds of Paradise, and maybe Will-o'-The-Wisp. Everything else is, at best, limited filler.
(Also, it took until Juvenile Gloomwidow for a spider to actually have venom. And the only spider which is a spider in the multiplayer sense is Tangle Spider, which is really bad. This amuses me.)
Anyway, Overgrown Estate looks cool. Then I remembered Zuran Orb is a thing. Not the worst in the cycle; that's Guided Passage. But it is pretty bad.

Yeah I was being silly. Animating it and giving it deathtouch is trying too hard.
