Yeah I remember back in the day I was not at all upset to open a Revised booster and see one of these. But I was also a stupid teenager so I didn't know better.
So not only do you need to keep Rolling Stones or a similar card in play, you need to keep Doran on the field, as well as a bunch of walls. I feel like the best thing you can do with walls does not include attacking.
White Knight is an insult on the internet that is used when you are harassing someone and someone else calls you out on it. Never quite understood how that could be a bad thing. The card sure is lackluster in EDH, though.

If someone is calling you a White Knight as an insult, it's specifically for the situation where you are coming to the defense of someone else (usually a woman) and using that as an excuse to attack someone. It's most appropriately used when the person being defended didn't actually need any help.
OT: I'd consider putting some knight tribal into a deck if Wizards printed me a very specific fake general I made up myself. That is probably not going to happen.

Zedruu: "This deck is not only able to go crazy - it also needs to do so."
Give him double strike instead of first strike and he'd be a solid 2/10 for EDH.
I do love this guy just for the nostalgia factor though. HE was one of the first magic cards I ever saw and he was definitely a 4-of in some of my early 60 card casual decks.
EDIT: Also, I'm not an expert on horse anatomy, but I think that must be some sort of horse/mantis hybrid in the art...
a 2 mana 2/2 doublestriker would be more than 2/10. It would be solidly playable. 2/2 double strikers cost 3.
I've seen Crusading Knight in one of Sheldon's decks. I always thought it a cool tech-y add.
That's an interesting add. It really punishes Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth...you could even run Urborg in your Crusading Knight Deck.
White Knight...I still think it's an efficient card, but it's not splashy enough to get play in EDH. In a format where you need to deal around 120 damage to win, 2 power with no CA bonuses isn't going to cut it.
I thought this was the wall and wall related cards thread now?
Knights definitely need BW legend support and this guy would obviously get the nod if they ever do. Cards like Stillmoon Cavalier and Mirran Crusader make him hard to justify otherwise.

Oh, I know that a 2/2 double strike at 2 CMC would be above curve, but I still don't think most EDH decks would want it. How many decks run Hearthfire Hobgoblin? It would be good at carrying swords though, so you're right, 2/10 is a bit harsh.
It's not so much the legs that I have a problem with as their position relative to the body and head. Maybe the horse's dress is just throwing me off though.

Presumably walls.dek intends to block, yes? Most walls have high toughness and very low power. Doran means they can actually kill the things they block, instead of just preventing damage to you or your plansewalkers.

Yeah, I've played a few equipment voltron decks, and while I don't run a lot of doublestrikers myself, some have serious value. I can think of 3 offhand that are head and shoulders above the hobgoblin, but if I had a 2 cost double strike white knight, it might make the cut due to cost.
Hearthfire Hobgoblin is (a) 2 colors, and thus limited in decks it can appear it (esp with red and white together), and (b) costs 3, which puts him heads and shoulders against much better 3 drop doublestrikers. Off the top of my head, in r/w I would rather run:
Even the Miran Crusader has upsides at that cost; I've seen crusader run, but I'm iffy even on him.
My brother made a doublestrike deck that was interesting and midling good. It was fun to play/play against. The top three of my list were all stars in that deck, as was Crypt Champion.
As Cryogen is out of town today, he asked me to take over for a day again, and I've hit...
I remember the Archetypes getting some decent EDH hype, especially this one, but they kinda...disappeared? I never see one of these anymore except in Isperia lists...

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
I think the Blue, White, and Black Archetypes are all good. The one feels off, it doesn't seem like red wants to trample, many just go wide or just do non-combat damage to kill. Green is just too expensive for a defensive effect.
I do like the archetypes and this one might as well say "all your creatures are unblockable as long as this creature is on the battlefield", but being an enchantment creature makes it so prone to removal that most of the time I'd rather play something else.
It does remind me a bit of the little known mirage card Chaosphere which can be a hoot to play against decks that rely heavily on fliers.
I run the green Archetype in my Teeg deck, though, because I can't play Asceticism if Teeg is in play. In all my other decks where I'd want board-wide hexproof I go with the enchantment, but there are situations where it's warranted.
The red and green ones are run in some play lists. The white one is playable in this format, the black one is worthless, and the blue one is just too flimsy.
I used to run the Red one in Mayael as a mass trample enabler, but I replaced it with Nylea, God of the Hunt (which cost only 1 CMC more and was another 5+ power creature for my general to hit). I've been debating running the green one in that deck as well, but I'm not sure what I'd remove. I've also glanced at the white one for Kemba, but it's never made the cut.
The green one is obviously amazing, but it just costs so much. I run it in Stangg, because almost all of my removal options require targeting. When I pay 8CMC for it though, I just wish it was Craterhoof Behemoth instead most of the time. When you manage to cheat it out at instant speed in response to Comet Storm though, it feels pretty boss.
My main complaint about the cycle is that I wish the red one was haste instead of trample. Turning off your opponents haste outlets would be a powerful and interesting new ability for red.
It was too gamebreaking for standard and limited. I say this was not the fault of being a haste enabler, but the fact that Theros block limited and standard were garbage.
This card is a beating and I'm not sure why I don't see it more. If you're in U and plan on attacking to win, this should be in your deck.
I don't run it in most of my more aggressive blue decks because it costs 6 and it usually gets cut before higher impact 6 drops. It makes it into preliminary lists all the time, but it's usually somewhere in the cards 110-115 range.

The body on the blue one is a little small for the cost.
Everyone kept saying "the green one" but I had to look it up, so, Archetype of Endurance. Definitely costly, but powerful, and a decent body.
