Tap out going to 6 life. Dark Ritual then Doomsday for: Helm of Awakening, Top, Anything, Mind over Matter, Timetwister.

Are there any mechanical problems that prevent this pile from working? I think I've gotten everything.

I see it's already been solved with Mind's Desire and Notion thief. That's an interesting one, and given few enough players, it's definitely better because it completely shuts down the possibility of them drawing free counter magic as you timetwister. If you have few enough cards in hand, and enough players, that win becomes impossible as Notion Thief would deck you correct? In that situation, it could be better to go with this pile (assuming it works), in which case, you would probably want the wild card to be Foil. With enough "free counterspell" density in your very tiny deck, you should be protected against their free counterspells.

This will kill them but they can draw into FoW each time you cast Timetwister, I think.

This will kill them but they can draw into FoW each time you cast Timetwister, I think.

This. also he forgot to cast candels to split his mana in the line he posted. I should have specified 3 opponents but that's typically assumed.

Should accomplish basically the same thing, but uses Hurkyl's Recall instead of Mind Over Matter. Is also very mechanically complex with zero wiggle room (you net 1 mana in the first loop and you scrape by at 1 life), so you'd probably mess up in the middle of the sequence.

That's just so cool. I love doomsday.

So i literally just played a game where i had lab man exlied and had nothing but doomsday to win with and the only cantrip i had was someone else hunters insight. i had just enough cards for a perfect 7 card time twister doomsday loop my pile was like
hand was
notion thief lands doomsday cabal ritual. and any topdeck was going to give me the 7 cards i need during twister.

then right before i get to pull off my epic win the mono white player slaughters me lol... i was even recording the game i still might upload it.

Puzzle 5 the missed line

this puzzle is simply a screen shot from the game i just played however my board state turn 5 had a winning line I did not see using the twister loop thinking about the game in my head after just playing it i remember i was able to cast the cantrip on turn 5 so i go back and check for missed lines... i found one, can you see it?

this one is not intended to be hard there is a chance my opponents can stop me but with my back against the ropes i desperately searched for an all in line i found none when i was playing and passed not taking my time.... but i missed a potentially winning line

finish my game on turn 5 and avenge my loss

So its been too long since i posted a Doomsday puzzle are you ready ?

your playing my storm deck



You win the die roll and get to go first excellent

You open a hand full of broken and contemplate whether or not to mulligan

Your hand is " Dark ritual, Cabal Ritual, Vampiric Tutor, Sol Ring, Polluted Delta, Demonic Tutor and Mana Drain. You look over your beautiful pile of vintage and decide to keep contemplating possibly searching a turn 1 Mana Crypt to play a turn 2 Necropotence or Ad Nauseam you draw your card for turn and brick on land hitting Notion Thief. That makes your necropotence line a fair bit weaker and your planning on casting the turn 2 Ad Nauseam as a quick refill when you Check your Doomsday lines and realize you've had a turn 2 kill since you looked at your opening 7. Win the Game on turn 2

So since I have no replies I don't know how many people have attempted to solve the puzzle if you have please let me know, but I will post my solution at the end of the day in both written form and a video explaining my thought process as this is a hand I actually drew on mtgo. Maybe it's harder than I thought considering I find most my lines in seconds and I had used more than 7 minutes by my turn 2 thinking causing many grumbles from my opponents, Perhaps it's harder than I thought but I'll give you until maybe 8pm est to solve then I will post the line and a video showing you how I found it while I was playing.

I thought I had a working line of play with the first tutor for LED, but when I double checked to make sure all the cards I wanted to use were in the deck, I find there's no Faithless Looting. What's up with that, Moxnix?

your CR does not have threshold in that line :/. faithless looting is an ok card but reds my splash color i can faithless looting off dack fayden tho and he steals sol rings/ mana crypts / gilded lotuses plus its costs 1 where frantic search costs making me mana off hightide

a) That's just me being stupid. The line of plays works, I just wrote it with an extra 2 black mana that wouldn't exist but also was never actually needed. I'll fix it in that post.

b) I just really love turn 1 Faithless Looting, but I guess if you're running lowest on red mana, that's a valid reason to not care. Fair enough.
