With the complete deck lists of Commander 2013 spoiled, which of the decks are the best:
1. In terms of power? Just a couple of tweaks here and there and you already have a decently powered deck?
2. In terms of value? We all know the value of the cards in these decks are well worth over their msrp.
It's a tie bewteen Prossh and Jeleva for me, I mean both are equally powerful here, Marath of the Wild of course is the weakest with the biggest card there being Avenger of Zendikar of course.
I also play Weiss Schwarz, Chaos, Vanguard and Wixoss.
Weiss Schwarz Sets
Accel World, Angel Beats, Familiar of Zero, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, Guilty Crown, Kill La Kill, Robotics;Notes, Sword Art Online.
Chaos Partners
Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Iona, Kirishima, Kongou.
Dangan Ronpa: Asahina, Togami.
Freezing: Vibration: Chiffon, Satelizer.
Vanguard Clans Favoured
Angel Feather, Dark Irregulars, Genesis, Neonecter, Pale Moon, Shadow Paladins, Tachikaze.
[EDH] It's built to be a casual format and to a specific vision, and if you don't like the vision, there's nothing wrong with that, but it's not going to change to accommodate everyone. Big tent is not a goal.
these are just off the top of my head. give me more time and im sure i can find similar syllables in the names of every new commander legend to an existing card.
on topic, prossh is the most bang for the buck. but i will probably buy the esper deck because sydri.
The Marath/Naya deck is legitimately awful. It's definitely the weakest in the bunch. It just deck lacks the synergies of all the others and doesn't have enough big threats or fun combos/mechanics to compensate.
The big tool is creatures with power 5 or greater (classic Naya) with Mayael, Drumhunter, Spellbreaker, Rakeclaw, and Where Ancients Tread. But there are only 11 cards in the deck that automatically have 5 or more power (14 counting One Dozen Eyes, Spawning Grounds, and Marath). It just makes Mayael feel like the biggest waste of a commander out of the 15. And most of those creatures are all incredibly weak compared to every other deck.
If the point of Naya (and green in general, I guess) is to have the strongest creatures to compensate for lack of control, why does Jund outclass Naya in every way? Proosh has stronger creatures, includes removal, works with better mechanics, and uses more tightly-knit synergies.
It sucks to be a Naya player with these decks.
yes, in the precon there is an infinite combo. primal vigor + Tooth and claw + Stalking vengeance + any 2 creatures to start it up.
I was talking about good combos. Like one that includes prossh, but if your really want to try to win with a five card combo in a precon deck be my guest.
I really don't see the value monetary wise in the Prossh deck. Hua Tuo is not going to maintain his pricetag after this set, not at all.
Value-wise in the early going will be Jeleva with the Strix but with a moderate circulation Derevi is going to take over - Oloro's biggest card is the three mana sweeper (that WILL blow up in Legacy). That Naya deck is NOT worth the $30 msrp - best to wait and snag the two commanders as singles, if those are your thing.
I mean the "Scavenging Ooze" of the set is True-Name Nemesis, which happens to be in the same box as the already-proven Baleful Strix. Strix will drop slightly with a second printing to around 10$, but picking up the Nemesis before these go out of print and he skyrockets is worth far more than a hundred casual cards (which is all that's in the other 4 boxes).
Oh, I thought he was talking about playing a spell that is countering a spell with counters on it as it comes into play, but I see you guys were just discussing whether he was flashing a creature with flash in order to flash a flashback or just flashing a creature with flash but not needing flash in order to flashback a spell without flash.

The white removal tuck and 3-mana wipe with lifeloss seem like contenders too, I don't play legacy though so I'm just wildly guessing.
Edit: Unexpectedly Absent and Toxic Deluge.

Wixoss - Just trial decks for now!
Nekusar (the Jeleva is garbage) is close behind, but my favorite
I'm gonna put the power level at: Dunno, haven't played with them yet.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
lol i am now fairly certain that wizards puts syllables a hat when coming up with legend names. some of these are just TOO similar to existing cards.
olORO obORO, palace in the clouds, OROs, the avenger, mikokORO, center of the sea
jelEVA yEVA, nature's herald
these are just off the top of my head. give me more time and im sure i can find similar syllables in the names of every new commander legend to an existing card.

Not in the precon. I thought we were talking about which precon is the best. Prossh is pretty average within his precon.
Overall I like Derevi. Lots of value, and the most ridiculous commander of the bunch.
Value: Grixis
yes, in the precon there is an infinite combo. primal vigor + Tooth and claw + Stalking vengeance + any 2 creatures to start it up.
[Primer] Kozilek, Butcher with Juice.

Seriously, right?! When will Wizards give us the tokens for just about the best general ever? Sek'Kuar is my go-to as well.

Steel Sabotage'ng Orbs of Mellowness since 2011.
-regarding Snapcaster Mage.

For my personal value: Bant/Esper
For power: I think Jund or Bant
Just ugly: Naya
