I have been wanting to build a Sliver deck for some time, but have observed the recurring massacre that comes from just pulling out one of the 5C Sliver commanders.
I would be open to play some other 2C or 3C commander that doesn't scream "Sliver overload".
Damia, Sage of Stone is a good one, but I'm leery since most Damia decks are pretty good when not running Slivers, which usually gets them targeted first.
I am looking for other 2C or 3C commanders that can provide some card advantage or other benefit while playing Slivers.
Others I considered:
2C:
3C: Riku of Two Reflections. Making Sliver clones is never a bad idea. Does just playing Riku usually put a target on your back? Doran the Siege Tower. Good control colors, and can get Necrotic Sliver and Harmonic Sliver in the mix. White Slivers provide defensive boosts to take advantage of Doran's presence. Karador, Ghost Chieftain. Good control colors, can reuse Necrotic Sliver. I personally won't run him since I already have a Karador deck, but figured he should be mentioned. Adun Oakenshield. Cool old card. Reuse Slivers that die.
Purely aggro strategies. They buff your dudes without requiring them to be slivers. Aurelia could be particularly good. The only downside is card quality (drawing, tutoring), but you still have Homing Sliver.
I could be wrong, but I thought I remember seeing an Animar slivers link in gelf's primer. He's got very relevant protections, lends himself well to a swarm strategy, and gives you access to the hasty, flying, and beefy slivers.
The best sliver ever printed is Necrotic Sliver, so you're going to want WBx, and but as for a third color, any of the remaining three work with giving you really good support options.
Esper gives you some very solid options, but ultimately none of the generals are that good for your legion of Slivers.
Out of WBR, Kaalia is out for obvious reasons, and Oros really isn't too much better. Tariel, on the other hand gives you a way to interact with your opponent's deck, and I think that leading a legion of Slivers is about the last thing people would expect her to be doing.
Now, your best three-color combination is probably WBG, giving you Doran, who doesn't do much to slivers, but doesn't really hurt them that much either since almost all of them have equal p/t. However, Karador or Teneb give you some genuinely good options for your slivers, giving you some very useful recursion abilities. These generals also let you use Harmonic Slivers, which is probably the second-most powerful of the non-legendaries slivers in a commander game
I think White/Black/Green is a good color combination: you get ramp, Necrotic sliver, and Harmonic Sliver. Karador might be the best, but since you already have a Karador deck Ghave or the dragon in those colors may be good alternatives.

Well, the point of this deck is to try and avoid the hate spawned by running a typical sliver deck, and running Ghave is not a good way to avoid hate.

Zur, The Enchanter would be great to tutor up all those Lord-type enchantments, and cards like Followed Footsteps, also, Conspiracy

stuff
Just to name a few of the good ones.

Now, if you care less about the specific slivers you use and more about the commander itself, The Mimeoplasm; Thraximundar or Sedris, the Traitor King for grixis; Ruhan of the Fomori (best for 1v1); bant doesn't really give you much, but you could run Rafiq of the Many or Jenara, Asura of War are probably your best options; and your best bet for Naya would be Hazezon Tamar running hivestone.
It is pretty out of date (last updated 2011), so doesn't include any discussion about M14 slivers, but it may be a useful resource.
