P.S: Thanks to you, I now have to find a Manabond for my Mimeo deck.
Yeah, how is it that I've never even heard of this card???? It seems disgustingly powerful in any sort of green-based graveyard deck. Just imagine Life from the Loam with a stocked graveyard and this in play.
On topic: Choosing whether to play your combo pieces if you can't cast and activate Oona in the same turn has always been a tough choice for me. It depends on the situation and what deck(s) I'm playing against. I generally try to play everything on the same turn so that my opponents have as small a window as possible for responding. Depending on the situation, I've run the other combo pieces out and then played Oona the next turn. Once I cast Oona, though, I plan to use her ability that same turn. I never give people the chance to kill her with sorcery speed removal, since wraths are a dime a dozen in EDH.
I've never played against another Oona combo deck, though. Is that how other people play her as well?
The earliest any of my decks can win is turn three for Xiahou Dun. Five for Scion the Ur Dragon and maybe four for Rayne, Academy Chancellor. What's the point of setting down to play a fun casual game if everybody is running combos like that. And if I get the chance to combo out I usually do something dumb. Like make every one draw fifty cards play Psychic Battle and pass turn.

Its because not everyone sits down to play a "fun casual game". Some people play EDH to play the most broken cards and combos available. EDH is a social format so people play what they find fun Personally for me, I like a little bit longer games with tight play but to each their own
I had the t1 infinite with that deck once. It was glorious. Though rather than make everyone shuffle all over again I showed it to everyone said "game t2?" and basically just mulligan-ed it away.
Even if the player runs a lot of discard, I would probably just hold my hand and try to be political. Aka, point to other players who ARE getting out of hand and point out that I've done nothing

no problem, that card helps you win fast, but it can be risky.
Thanks Argentleman;)

Except for Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed. He's what I play when you make me mad.
