Good grief. Where I'm at gas fluctuates between $1.80 and $2.00 a gallon. Rarely does it go above or below those numbers. My car's gas gauge is broken, so I have to use the trip meter to figure whether or not I need to fill up.
Found out Reiterates are $25 a piece. Debating dumping my one because I rarely ever use it.

Gas in Oregon is more expensive than most places and at $2.25 right now we are loving it.
Reiterate isn't $25. That's not an actual price for it - that's the reactionary auto spike that happens when a card sells out despite having no real demand. The increase in demand is pretty small and you can still find them for $10-$12 easily. If you can pitch it for $12+ do it!

SCG has them for 10. Still, when did they go up in price, and why?
I guess they went down during the day. TCGPlayer had them at $25 for a little bit earlier today. My guess is because people are playing them in the new Mizzix storm decks or something. That or someone just decided they needed to buy out all of the reiterates on TCGPlayer.
I also like a number of "mini" games, and also most of what This Guy makes. He's a 1-man kickstarter shop, and so far I have been rather impressed with the quality and play of games, and he's one of the rare Kickstarter people that delivers on time, every time. He's got it down to a science.
My friend and I are currently sending our first successfully Kickstarted game to the printers, which I guess wouldn't be self-advertising to talk about now since the Kickstarter finished, but whatever. We gave ourselves a good chunk of time to get things done. We said January, and we're ordering now, so two months should be plenty of time for print, ship, ship. Good luck to me!
Good luck indeed! Glad to hear you were successful!

TCG said the average was $25, but if you looked at the copies for sale it was a different story. Foils weren't even $25 and there were plenty of non-NM copies for $10ish.
It's the auto-pricing that made it look nuts.
I've heard good things about Eldritch Horror. Arkham is interesting enough, but it takes waaaay too long.
Not if you get good at it... Most of our games range from 1-3 hours. (We've had one 2-player game that was 30 min and one 6-player game that was 1 hour.)
I don't personally care for Eldritch as much as Arkham or Elder Sign, but I reognize that it is a very entertaining and well-made game.
I've been playing Axis And Allies: D-Day against myself since I really don't have any one to play with. I may get twilight struggle at some point, since I like the time period it covers.
So if the spoilers are to be believed BW has back to back releases providing 3 interesting commanders cmc 3 or less. Meanwhile RW gets to attack with 5 drops.

I played exactly one round of Twilight Struggle and decided it was terrible. Though I was playing with someone I can't stand so...

Yup. R/W has quite possibly the least interesting suite of commander options of any color pair in the game for EDH, and that's on top of being the two worst colors (and worse than playing mono either of those colors since you can't run Emeria/Valakut/mana doublers/Blood Moon/Ruination as easily)

Yeah man I don't understand why RG doesn't get any love either. Some of the pairs seem to be pegged as the "simple" pairs. Why isn't there an aggressive RG 2 or 3 drop legend? Doesn't it seem reasonable for those colors? Give me Burning-Tree Shaman as a legend and I'll shut up.

Radha's essentially just a mana dork though. Personally, I'd take something of a Radha 2.0 that tapped for mana and had some other kind of Gruul effect. I'd also like a Rakdos commander along the lines of Olivia, something a bit more controlly/midrangey.
RW may be lacking, but if you look at how many interesting commanders RW has compared to RG or RB and it looks like they are all sitting really low.
Yeah, I haven't seen someone play a RB deck in literally years, since Rakdos 2 came out. It's a real shame since anything R/B/x is typically awesome.
RG at least I've seen a lot more decks. Bobo 2, New Omnath, Thromok, Ulasht, Radha, Wort, Xenagod... I think it's a pretty diverse color combo, actually. Tokens, lands matter, spells, even? It's more diverse than Izzet. Not to say Izzet is uninteresting, it just... kind of only does the one thing.
Couldn't for the life of me wrap my head around why Reiterates were so good with Mizzix. Read online that Desperate Ritual goes infinite with it, but still couldn't see it. Then I read and figured out that he discounts the buyback too. Ohhh NOW I get it.
Sure, but 911 was an inside job. I mean how could it not have been Bush and his cronies? They had means and motive.
I heard a girl who ~might~ have been 8 when it happened emphatically say this while she was talking in front of me today. I swear to God that people will believe anything to fit their own narrative.
I only replied to you Lifeless because I was hoping that you'd read that thinking I was responding to your post. And to me that's funnier.
This is the last piece i did for my ceramics class, which i'm now done with and have gotten an A in. It's also the Raku firing, which is why it looks like copper.
Carcassone is also somewhat of a worker placement, and is also a huge favorite.
Carcassone is fun, but I only play on my tablet. The scoring really taxes me and I never feel confidant that we are doing farms right.
The only non-magic card game that I have invested any time and money into lately is the Pathfinder card game. It does an amazingly good job of simulating a dungeon crawl RPG campaign. I have Munchkin but have only really played once, despite loving it. I just keep forgetting to teach my wife.

Raku is fun because you get quick gratification, but the finishes can be limited and it is not water tight. Copper is nice, and you can get some blooming of golds and blues if you do something to make certain parts cool slower than others. I have used wet paper, straw, and even grass clippings from my lawn to get some nice effects. By far the most popular in the studios I have been in is crackle glaze on a light clay like a Kaolin.
Most of my work was finished in a cone 10 electric kiln, but I have done wood fire, soda fire, and pit fire methods too. The only low-fire method I have used was Raku.

Watch Jessica Jones! Admittedly I have only watched the first episode, but I haven't seen a big-2 comic book movie yet which so adeptly captures the source material. Alias, buy Brian M. Bendis is one of my all time favorite comic series, so I had high expectations...and they were met.
If you have Amazon Prime you all must watch The Man in the High Castle! If you've read the novel be warned- it is based on the premise of the novel, and departs from it pretty quickly. It is not among my favorite of Phillip K. Dick stories, so I was pretty happy with it's diversions. I loved every episode up until the finale, and that was not bad per se, it just left way too much unexplained and made me feel a bit dumb. It really could have used 1-2 more episodes. Lets just say that the wife and I talked a lot about it afterward, and we came away with very different interpretations, neither of which were all that solidly supported. Some have said that the dialog was a bit corny, but I thought it was fine. I love watching Rufus Sewell on screen, and IMO he has the solidly best performance.
So, I've been playing a lot of D&D lately, and it's driving me up the wall. All I want is a balanced, simple campaign with medium level difficulty, access to a few magic items, and a decent story. So far, all of our DM's have been terrible, but for different reasons.
Dude 1 (Gamer Dude) - Any Alignment, Any Race, Any Class, No Story: First of all, Any Alignment campaigns can burn in the bowels of fiery stinking hell, because getting the party to work together is virtually impossible when one guy wants to rip a guy's teeth out to intimidate him (CN) versus another guy who just wants to threaten him (CG). This, like the following two campaigns, died pretty quickly, this one lasting roughly three weeks of two sessions per week.
Dude 2 (Old Dude) - Any Alignment, Any Race, Any Class, No Story: This guy had us do all of one session before he never showed back up. It's a shame too, my Pirate Dwarf Fighter was pretty sweet.
Dude 3 (Asian Dude) - Any Alignment, Human Only, Any Class, Story: This guy's story had an interesting premise where characters had access to a special power that broke game logic (for instance, my character could stop all movement in a 30-foot radius except himself, including magic and projectiles) except everybody tried to break the ***** out of it. One guy could rewrite the rules of reality! He only showed up for three sessions, and since Reality Bro couldn't actually rewrite the rules until he leveled up (since these special powers ran on a separate resource that kills the character when they're empty) we never got to find out how broken he really got. This is also the only campaign we've run so far where ANYONE has gotten Inspiration (I managed to solve a riddle and earned it.)
Dude 4 (Stoner Dude) - Any Alignment, Any Race, Any Class, (supposedly) Story: This guy has a different problem than the rest of the bunch above. He's consistent, but to be blunt...he's kind of an idiot when it comes to rules and balancing. For example, as a Sorcerer in this campaign, I wanted to acquire a +1 quarterstaff, since I was like fourth level and thought maybe I could afford it. THe price (after succeeding on an Investigation check to find a magical weaponsmith)? 20 Gold. As a joke, I asked him what a +5 would run me, figuring it would be something north of 20,000 gold and that the price for the +1 was due to affinity with the town or some nonsense: 200 gold. As a reward for a quest, I got to learn a spell from any caster list up to 2nd level, and I picked Shillelagh, a spell which makes quarterstaves more powerful and permits you to use your casting skill mod instead of Strength for swinging it. This means, with a +5 Silvered Quarterstaff, I have a +13 to hit and then a guaranteed +10 damage bonus to a weapon that swings as a D8...as a spellcaster. Keep in mind, I just hit level 6 Sorc. Our fighter is ridiculously busted (as a Dwarf wielding a Dwarven Thrower and getting almost the same insane buffs as me) and no *****, in our last game, he dealt out almost 300 damage to a single target with a natural 18 AC, in about five rounds (keeping in mind he has Haste and Bardic Inspiration dies added.) As a level six fighter. Eventually, I got so sick of us being busted, I started to rules lawyer everything, since I always played by the basic rules (keeping track of spell slots and my actual bonuses on things) but other people, particularly that fighter mentioned above started getting pissy whenever it meant even a slight nerf.
I mean, I'm heavily considering learning to DM and running my own campaign, but I suggested I would force all PC's to be aligned to Good, which one player promptly responded by saying he wouldn't play in it because it would mean he couldn't do what he wants (keep in mind 90% of all characters everyone plays tend to be Chaotic Neutral.) I'm seriously thinking about just quitting for a while. Am I being petty, or is my frustration justified?
