I generally get all the Commander decks unless they have nothing I want. I missed the boat on grabbing the mono-white deck, and I had no interest in the black one, but I got the others. I bought several of some of the older decks, but I doubt I can afford to do that for some time. The thing is now I have something like 25 new border Sol Rings that I can't get rid of. They have just enough value that I didn't want to donate them all when I donated my overflow earlier (though I did add 8), but not chase enough that I see them wanted all that often on Puca.
Also my dreams of a GW enchantress legend continue to go unfulfilled.
Yeah, same here. Oh well, unfulfilled desires are the best kind, right? As Chris Cornell wisely sings, "I have nothing, but then the have is not as good as the want."
If they ever print a legendary GW enchantress, I'll probably just be disappointed by it.

You really dont want them too. Think of all the people who liked decks that made you draw cards and made you lose life for it. Then nekusar came out.
Can you imagine if your pet deck youve had for years is suddently worse than 20% of people's modified precon because you didnt take the extremely obvious nekusar like legend.
I, a long time ago, wanted to make a WRU deck that chained together extra turns ad extra combats (W was there for Wave of Agression) to win in one or a few turns with a lot of creatures that drew when in combat somehow. I decided that we didnt yet have enough of those, so I was waiting for more due to the innevitable powercreep. The inevitable poweercreep happened, and Narset came into existance.

Same deal with us finally getting a Jund stax general. Didn't live up to the hype.

Nah, I'll gladly be the guy who makes the obvious deck. Of course if they made the GW enchantress it would have to outclass Sigarda in one way or another since she is more than powerful enough to get the job done.

That's not entirely the same thing, its just shattergang being weak. It's not like the guy who had a esper colored lifegain control deck that became either another one of those Oloro players or one of those "Why aren't you playing Oloro, he's better for your deck." Prossh did that. Why play Sek Kuar? Kresh?

Sigarda is broken in ways I don't think they'd ever top. Look at Ojutai. They don't want strong hexproof beaters that are undercosted. Add in her other clause and bleh :/
I actually meant the other scenario. We get excited for an archetype general and it ends up sucking. I liked the concept of the Bros but they just don't work.

Apart from the fact that I dont like pws as commanders, i think they did a decent job with the last batch of precons. hopefully they do so again.

Have to ask, what makes you say that? While I didn't go too in depth with them, I did have the deck for a little bit and they seemed to work fine for me.
Not my style of Jund, but then I'm just kinda hoping I'll know it when I see it.

Honestly, the biggest thing you generally want to Stax away is Land, which is the one major permanent type they don't hit. Also, the high activation costs make them too clunky to work super well.

Fair enough, I could definitely see that. As someone on Gatherer said, it's really good he was't Blue
I really hope that W/B has an equipment subtheme and a Voltron commander. White has the best equipment tutors, black has the best tutors in general, white and black don't have a voltron commander. Make it so, WotC.

Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts is a decent voltron general because she's unblockable and holds down the fort on her lonesome really well.

Bleeegh, but she's so expensive....

Yeah... I like teysa's effect, but she is expensive. I like reanimating her early, but I don't recall ever actually casting her. Also, she is constantly one of the cards I consider for chopping out of my list.
I mean, I'm not going to be unreasonable and say that she should be any less for Protection from Creatures and Vigilance and No Mercy AND token generation on a 4/4, but waiting till T7 (While Black has Ramp, White does not) to cast her, T8 to equip and swing, and depending on what equipment you have T10 to finally Voltron someone out is just too slow.
I mean, I suppose Dark Ritual, Lake of the Dead, Legal Mox, and other such sillyness can get her out faster, but that seems like too much for a competitive deck against Combo.
As I posted in the other thread, a weaker Godo, Bandit Warlord (minus extra combat) that cost 4 in W/B would be perfect.

I'm pouring one out for my Seizan, Perverter of Truth deck now.
That said, when Nekusar was revealed I was excited about converting it, I didn't realize then how reviled Nekusar would become.
