As someone with Asthma,I have a dislike for those who smoke even if they go outside and do it and come back in. Luckily I haven't had an asthma attack due to it but it's only a matter of time....
Really? I thought the second one was better than the first by a country mile. I loved the original, but it had some definite issues with pacing (the beginning was slow and focused waay too much on Fin's family life and his bar.) The second cuts the bull***** and gets straight to the part you want to see, people getting eaten by flying sharks.
Tara Reid is just so uncomfortable to watch- I was really hoping they would cut her in this one because she is not "good bad", she just makes every scene she is in almost unbearable. I liked the second one more than I thought I would, but it was verging on being too self aware. This new one, with all the "hey look at these goobers" cameos and the wacky title just smacks of something that has...okay I refuse to say it, but I fear Fonzie has his water skis on and is waiting for the boat to get under way.
Honestly I would not bother having the DVR set, but a "bad movie" podcast that I really like "How Did This Get Made?" watched the first one and has a policty that if they watch a movie and a sequel comes out later, they will watch that too. They will be talking about it afterwards so I want to have a point of reference. If Tara Reid was not in it I would watch it on my own, but it kinda feels like self-imposed homework as it is.

Pass a fagot around with friends and just chill.
I know perfectly what you mean, but this just brought up a mental image of a gay friend I have being passed around at a campfire we have been planning. It's quite hilarious, because I can totally see him going along with it.
On the actual subject of smoking, I used to when I was younger and unfortunately will admit it was "To be cool", though I must say I did succeed a little bit due to using a pipe instead of cigs.
On the subject of marajuana smokers though, is it just me or does the Pot Smoker stereotype actually hold water? I've met twenty some of them and every single one has been of the "Down with the evil governments, man" variety.

Tantarus: It didn't make the gaka greifer level, so it should be fine

I will repeat myself again: most stereotypes exists because they hold water. A lot of people hate them, but you end up getting stereotypes by subconsciously going "95% of the time A is true, B happens." Some people get mad cause "It's not fair to the 5%", completely disregarding logic. I give you a 20 sided die, we bet $100 on the roll. Are you going to say it'll land on a 20 or on any other number? This is how stereotypes work, and we as a race have them because they save a lot of mental effort throughout our lives.
You see a wild animal, and ~ 95% of the time, the bear will beat you in a fight. He seems hungry, but you wanted berries from the same bush it's eating from. Do you fight it?
I've never smoked, but I've inhaled a fair amount of actual smoke.
I used to be fine with it, until I learned just how bad second hand smoke is for you. The smoke exhaled isn't that bad, but the smoke emanating from the cigarette that doesn't go through the filter is not just a few times worse for you than actually smoking a cigarette. It's MAGNITUDES worse for you.

Probably not just you, but the vast majority of the people I know do and 95% of them function just fine and seem "normal" to the outside world. Software engineers, bankers, doctors, etc.

Oh I know. I also know that for every "Goverment is trying to trick us, Man." type of M-smoker I see, there are probably 20 or so I talk to daily that I wouldn't/can't tell. It just seems like it's less 95% (I would argue that it's more like an 80-20 split), than the full 100%; everyone who is pro-Marajawana enough to be open about it is absolutely anti-government...

I've smoked 2 cigarettes in my life. I got really good at blowing rings in college, but never could inhale.
Is talking about smoking pot okay on MTGS since it's legal in my state?
I honestly don't know anymore. With as many states legalizing it, I don't think talking about smoking it is frowned on anymore. I'd have to ask in the mod lounge to give an actual answer though.

I suppose I'm kinda in a similar boat to Hermes. I've never smoked myself, but I developed a tobacco allergy about 7 years ago. Thankfully I haven't gone fully into anaphylactic shock, and have recognized the signs when it has started, but just smelling it sets me coughing, and being in the same room or otherwise too close for too long while someone is smoking causes my throat to start to swell. The worst part of that is that by the time the anaphylaxis starts, my throat is already raw from coughing and being burnt by the smoke, so it's even more painful.
When one of my new roommates came in, I commented that his mattress smelled like cigarette smoke. He said "Must have been from my previous roommate who smoked." I was a little dubious, but I went with it. A week or so later, he's smoking out on the balcony and I'm coughing up a storm while putting Lysol cans in convenient places to at least mask the smell to some degree. He's become a little better about it, but there is going to be a talk about warning people in the near future. It was even worse yesterday, since I also got blindsided on the way in by a nearby smoker that I couldn't see for a while, then came in to find the apartment smelling of smoke from the balcony (because he doesn't close the damn door often enough).
My coworkers who smoke are at least somewhat tolerable about it, bar one.

Shiet.
All the carcinogens, none of the fun stuff.
Side note: I actually meant legit smoke. I was a volunteer firefighter for years, and one of the stupid things the old timers do is take off their SCBA equipment to do salvage and overhaul (I.E. Toss the burnt ***** out of the house). Rookies follow suit, so I've probably inhaled some really bad stuff in my time.
Also, glitter, which along with the smoke it was mixed up with in the air streaked up into my nose and along my mouth. I looked fabulous.
That sounds absolutely horrible. My friend has a Progenitus Humility deck, but he hasn't broken that out in a long time. Thankfully he was out of the game for a while, and I believe still has no clue that Possibility Storm exists.

I just spent the last forty minutes vacuuming ants out of my car again! The fact that this has become a recurring problem for me is frustrating and disgusting. And, it made me miss a steel drum band rehearsal.
I think I'm going to have to get my property treated soon

Yeah, even mentioning it used to be an auto-suspension thing before I was on staff. I just hope we keep "talking like a pot head" in check.
Someone is sending me two Temur Battle Rage on Pucatrade. To the US from Canada. If that happens to be you, please feel free to cancel that order. That's just bad math.
My friends and I smoke cigars at celebrations and I smoked a hell of a lot of weed the summer of 2008, where I worked as a hiking guide in the 200-person hamlet of Field, where the only thing to do for fun in the evenings was wait tables at the local café or get high with the Info Centre kids, all of whom were Québécois and partied like animals. Went back to school the following September having pretty much had my fill of the stuff. Nowadays it's just good old fashioned drinking at parties.

I've had someone send me a single junk uncommon before. The top loader they sent it in was in probably worth more than the card, let alone the stamp.
That being said, 90% of e-cig and vape smokers are usually pretentious douches and fall into my first category.
Yeah, you know what, I can understand that the vapor things are technically better for the health of you and those around you, but it just seems... disingenuous to me. And I don't know if its legal to do that indoors in a public place or not.
Well, I'm somewhat of a pretentious douche but after my Magic "habit" both vaping and smoking are too expensive for me so I don't have to worry as much about being found out.
I work next to a vape shop. The employees all park in our customer parking lot and the place is constantly pouring grape koolaid smelling ***** out of the front door. It's nasty.
I see almost no one vaping in Calgary, but I've seen lots vaping in Toronto these last couple days. I'm honestly surprised it took off -- it's one of those things that are so obviously contrived and marketed they usually end up getting snubbed.
I can't believe I'm watching the turd that is Sharknado 3.
Tornado warning in Calgary today, along with the inevitable Sharknado jokes. I'd watch these things if they were genuinely ha-ha funny, but I don't get the idea they're even that.
