The upside being for those who know nothing about magic its still a very cool flower tatoo so you really don't have to be into magic to enjoy it.
Yeah, my flower girl followers all like it. Apparently flowers are what about 50% of all my clients want from me.... not sure how I feel about that, but they are fun.
EDIT: TheEndIsNear - Thanks for the post about Bant. I may add white and look at what that can do for theme too. I actually wished Cathar's Crusade was available so I'll look and see if there's anything else to mess with.
My favorite alter from you is still carpet of flowers tho I can't deny the doomsday maybe you can be the fire and flowers guy at least your not the skulls guy.
I would be interested to have seen what that 45 minutes would have made. That would have been an impressive post.
I don't think nearly as impressive as you'd think. Moxnix is a master of churning out words. 45 minutes would have been maybe around 800 words... nothing huge.

The idea seems fun, but I don't know if you'll manage to make it competitive enough for your playgroup.
Not a Pale Ale. Not pale enough and way too strong. I think that a Strong Amber Ale would be the best classification. We'll see when it's ready in 3 weeks though...
I've got a bottle of Rye Saison from last year that's been aging and tonight might be the night to break it out. I forgot about it and don't want it to go bad, but also people are coming over for EDH and I can't leave the house to buy beer and the homemade stuff is not ready (obviously).
Do let me know if you want a tattoo while you are out here. I have a pretty open schedule but it seems to fill 1-2 weeks beforehand so some notice would be good. Otherwise maybe you'l be here on an EDH night?
Ha ha insofar as "amber" is a good classification but I see what you mean. Have you tried Mission Brewery's Carrack Imperial Red? The best strong amber I've had. What was that rye saison and did you enjoy it?
Definitely still down for a tattoo if I can get off my ass and design it. I'm a total perfectionist and it won't get done unless I'm 100% satisfied. What's EDH day for you guys? I'll definitely bring Karador along for the trip.

Never heard of Mission. The rye saison was my own and everyone liked it. It aged nicely.
You know that 90% of people come to tattoo artists to design the thing, right? That's what you pay us for. You provide ideas and we use them to build images. Edh at my place is every other Saturday but there are games on Tuesday and Thursday too that have a descent showing.
My perspective might be warped by my artsy friends... a couple of my buds will draw designs themselves and say "do this please." I'm no slouch at drawing myself but would welcome being able to put heads together with you in advance, especially as I don't have a reference point for how something ends up looking, say, wrapped around one's shoulder.
I'll keep those times in mind for planning.
Do you do your brewing completely at home with just pots and kettles and barrels and stuff? I used to go to these you-brew places where you can use your own recipes but you're renting their vats and bottling machines.
You can bring me a design, but I will then tear it apart and rework it so that it'll work as a tattoo. So yeah, like with any client, you come to me with source material and ideas, I distill that, and then we work through it.
I do all my brewing at home. I can't do all grain brewing right now so extract has to do, but I've found ways of making that taste just fine. And from there I ferment in my closet since it's dark and constant temperatured. After that I put it in a pony keg, pressurize with Co2, and dispense from my mini fridge. I have a bottling wand for when I want to bottle the stuff but most of the time I put it in a growler and serve to company.
You both figured it out far too soon. I admit I am a vampire and I vant to suck your bloooooooood.
I mean we North Dakotans sure are pale enough to be vampires... Heck we even have a strong resistance to the cold, a hate for
"spicy" things (garlic), and just in general fear the sun for it burns us in like 5 min...
Just a quick question,
What are everyone's thoughts on MaRo overseeing the creation of all future commander products? Does that mean we won't see new colour bending cards like chaos warp or reprints of old cards like Lifeforce? I'm not too thrilled on it as my personal favourite commander products were the first batch as they had loads of really cool and interesting cards. I'd rather not have new world order and standard dictate what goes into commander.
Huh? Link please. I thought he didn't work on supplemental sets because he was always so busy with Expert level sets. However, Magic has a very clear color pie and it should be respected in every set. Of course, this only applies to new cards like Chaos Warp and not existing cards.

Unfortunately for the Real Slarg, vampires aren't actually affected by Gaaahlic, but I have it on good authority that he typically has Breaded Garlic, not garlic bread.

This sounds on-topic. I'd rather have unreadable conversations about D&D than talk about MaRo.

Mmm Garlic bread. brb.
Also, about commaronder: Bleh. Don't like that guy.

Why? Why should cards that are being printed to play with cards that were printed years ago be constricted by the rules of today? It's not a Standard Legal set, so the whole modern color pie thing shouldn't really fly.
As for Duke's question, unless MaRo is legit legit taking control, I doubt it will change; Song of the Dryads for instance breaks color pie and he couldn't/didn't do anything abut that.

He joked about how it'll be the cheapest Lotus he can buy. Sorta sad.

Ah, man, how can we know you're even the real you?
Do any of us know if we are the real us anyway?

I can confirm that there is a real guy claiming to be bobthefunny. I suspect he was legit because his name wasn't Bob and he wasn't very funny.

I thought a few of you lives in Portland, but now I can't keep track.
Then again, for you guys, going from one state to the next isn't a huge deal, it's like what, a 4 hour drive?
I need to find my june project. What will I learn?
Geography, a Language, some coding, Morse Code, Juggling with 5 objects are the things I've currently got in mind.
You both figured it out far too soon. I admit I am a vampire and I vant to suck your bloooooooood.
We are both pretty genius.
Also, Ulka, you must keep in mind I have a garbage memory.
Which reminds me, I had already decided for june, I'm going to try those memory feats (like learning to have a good memory).
