I don't even know what to call it. It's sort of like Arrogant Bastard, so "American Hopped Ale?" It's going to have about 7% abv and ***** tons of Chinook hops. I like all hops but those are one of my favorites. And while I was brewing (done now, just need to carry the carboy up into my nice AC'd closet) I drank a couple bottles of Widmer's Upheaval IPA and a bomber of Worthy's Imperial IPA. Before that I painted and worked on tattoos most of the day. Most days I am a curmudgeon but once in a while even my cranky ass can't deny that my life is pretty sweet.
By the way, the title means "response of the Russian youth to sanctions and restrictions".
Either way, it would be harder to make anything more russian if you tried.

A mirror, a shield, a promise, a great distance, and a kind word-- five ways to avoid harm.
During the last two semesters, in which I took "American Lit to 1860" and "The 19th Century Novel," I realized I didn't know as much about the Civil War as I would like to. So I'm watching Ken Burns' excellent 9-episode documentary (called "The Civil War"). If you're interested at all in the topic, I highly recommend it (plus, fun facts like Robert E. Lee married George Washington's granddaughter).
That documentary series is also famous in film and art circles for using a new style where the camera will zoom or pan on a still photograph. It is extremely common to see used today when making video that uses still photos of special occasions, like weddings, but it was revolutionary at the time.
I hope you like the theme song, Ashokan Farewell, because you are going to be hearing it often.

That's probably the best history TV I've seen. I watched it straight through about 10 years (?) ago and talked like David McCullough for a week.
Burns' The Civil War is excellent. Anyone who enjoys it would probably also appreciate Shelby Foote's three volume text, The Civil War, which was a huge influence on the TV series. I consider it the single best general source on the topic there is.

Or the documentary about the Old Negro Space Program:

You still coming to PDX this summer?
Perhaps an APA (American Pale Ale)? Actually I don't know what the **** an APA is, assuming it means anything at all. All I know is that one of the highlight singletons of the bachelor party was Russell's APA, called Peaks and Valleys. Great summer beer. The floral, citrus end was subtle enough not to be obnoxious but present enough that it made a nice summer drink.
The other one I recall really liking was Baird's Brewmaster's Nightmare Rye IPA. It was one of those beers that tries to do a bit of everything and actually succeeds. Obvious rye and IPA qualities with some spicy, nutty dessert qualities made it the most "friendly" rye IPA I've had.
You really are lucky. I've always enjoyed art but was never talented (or brave) enough to actually pursue it, and I actually really like the atmosphere of tattoo shops. Very real. I enjoyed the company golf/skeet tournaments and like most of my coworkers but all the suit-wearing and bull*****ting and ******* constant air of networking was really exhausting. Not to mention a couple polite-but-tense arguments I had about the new left-of-centre government here, which predictably most of my higher-ups aren't happy about.
Now that I'm done the one-two punch of the wedding and company parties I'mma sleep for a couple days and start organizing our West Coast trip. I'll let you know how it goes.
I'mma have to dust off the old cook book this summer. I got a Fitbit at the company auction and I'mma find a good nutrition app to coordinate with my exercise data. Which will mean eating out a lot less since most restaurants put so much hidden ***** in their food. Groan. I really don't enjoy cooking.

Not a Pale Ale. Not pale enough and way too strong. I think that a Strong Amber Ale would be the best classification. We'll see when it's ready in 3 weeks though...
I've got a bottle of Rye Saison from last year that's been aging and tonight might be the night to break it out. I forgot about it and don't want it to go bad, but also people are coming over for EDH and I can't leave the house to buy beer and the homemade stuff is not ready (obviously).
My youngest son woke up at 1, 3, and 4 puking up a storm. After getting thrown up on a couple nights ago it looks like he caught it. So, he's sitting here watching fishing shows and Minecraft videos burning a 102.5 degree fever looking like hell.
Do let me know if you want a tattoo while you are out here. I have a pretty open schedule but it seems to fill 1-2 weeks beforehand so some notice would be good. Otherwise maybe you'l be here on an EDH night?

I like cooking, but I hate the effort required to actually do it. And if I have to be honest with myself, I'm not that good. My dishes always turn out somewhere between worse than I expected to mediocre. I have exactly one signature dish which I cook for my wife, and beyond that dish I haven't really made anything I'm proud of.
Since you're wondering, Shake and Bake pork chops with homemade loaded mashed potatoes.
Edit: That stupid ban list thread gave me the erratic fear that the RC is going to actually revisit their stance on the barrier to entry and unban Library. I need to get one badly before they unban it and the price skyrockets.
Depending on how you play and your playgroup, I might be able to give a few suggestions. What was the goal of the deck?
I've realised (I know this is a brag) that I tend to win more by playing the players than by playing the game. I feel like the smarter my opponents the less I win, and it's a bigger difference than differences in skill.
I'm a moron so I'm not sure there's much you can do. My list is still on the first multiplayer page if you want to look but really it just felt so at odds with what I wanted to do that... I don't know. I still want to make a fun UG deck that's not just lame ramp, draw, combo,

I don't really care to either.

Most of what I make is some form of saute, often with Asian or French influences.

Since I am all about youtube videos right now, here's one my boss told me I needed to watch:
He threw a no-hitter tripping' balls. Hilarious.
WUBRGPauper Battle BoxWUBRG ... and why I am not a fan of Wayne Reynolds' Illustrations.
Yeah, me too. Whatever of his I haven't yet watched is in the queue (I think only the Dust Bowl and WWII are left).
Yes but you have the order wrong.
My Kraj deck is awful. One night and done.

Yes. Laugh out loud, then drink, and THEN draft Conspiracy.
