Hey veteran Pucites. At what point should I PM a person to check on whether they received the cards I sent? I'm at around 2.5 weeks now for two things I shipped off. Luckily they were both ~200 points each so it's not a big deal if they were lost in transit, but I'm not sure how to approach it.
I contact people at one week just to check and report the problem at 2 weeks since when you hit the report button it says 2 weeks for domestic and 4 for international.
Mmm, Imperial Stouts. Usually of the Russian variety, but anything 9% plus and you have my attention.
Yeah. This time of year it's hard to get into them, but I have a case of bombers in my closet just slowly mellowing for fall. It's a bit syrupy for me, but 10% abv, and 5 months conditioning in bottles should give me good stuff when it gets cold. Deschutes tends to make pretty mediocre beer but their Abyss Stout they put out in November is something I look forward to.
Does anyone else find that links don't work well on this site? I set up a link in my primer to a particular comment and the URL will be correct, but it simply reloads the main page... it's very frustrating.
Trade routs (in the BNW expansion) are a good way to make gold. I'd suggest picking up Guilds and other other gold techs in the same line if you run out.
Military units cost a gold upkeep every turn, so having a large army is expensive.
My most recent Civ is doing a lot better because I have trade routes between all my cities. It's getting to the point though where it's hard to keep track of all my cities since I've conquered two other Civs and a couple of city-states and annexed all of their cities. I don't know if the single player difficulty is easier or something, but it almost feels unfair using nuclear missiles against people who have mostly archers and spearmen.

When you change the title of your thread all previous links to that thread will default to the first post. Is that what you're referring to?

Yes I guess that is the issue I'm having then... so every time I update my thread title (like I just did then) I have to go through and update every link? URGH WHY DO I CREATE ALL THIS EXTRA WORK FOR MYSELF?
Edit: Ok I've removed the set review information from the thread title, and NEVER UPDATING THE TITLE AGAIN! I will go through and fix all the links later. Please return my Primer tag thank you.
There is supposed to be a large patch upcoming. I think Feyd was going to outline it sometime in the near future. I have no idea if it will be addressed in that or not offhand though as I dont have the patch details yet.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.

That's what I had to do, but my issue was that I couldn't update the title without dropping my primer tag and I figured that I would eventually just bug Cryo to death with PMs to add it back if I didn't simplify it. I agree that having to change all of your links is annoying though.
Its an issue that the thread tag and thread name are both on the same update page. Because we have the primer tag as moderator applied only it causes issues if a user would like to update the name of their thread. I apologize if this is irritating. I will see what I can do to get it addressed.

It wasn't really annoying ISB, I was just confused the first time it happened, and figured I'd save myself some trouble as well as you guys by keeping it simple and not editin it a million times.
And thanks Cryo! I actually like this one more than my last, I think the color contrast is pretty. ^.^

I play on a harder difficulty, so the game is less stupid. But of course that also means it cheats more. "Oh, were you about to win? tee hee, I just finished the rocket 2 turns after I got the technology for it."
The thing about civ on higher difficulty is that the AI doesn't get better, it just gets bigger and bigger bonuses until it becomes very hard to overcome those bonuses.
Playing against people is the real fun, but the games last so long it's hard to finish one. Sequential turns can also make it feel slow if you go to war.

So far I've mostly just been playing against friends when we're both online and we'll talk over Skype while we're playing. That way I don't have to worry about people just leaving and not continuing their turns or whatever. I'm still a noob, but I'd be down to play with some of you guys at some point.
I guess WotC finally won. I'm making another legacy deck now that I've opened 3 Stifles from conspiracy packs.
Edit: I HAD NO IDEA FINDING GITAXIAN PROBES WOULD BE THIS MUCH A PAIN IN THE BUTT. ><
What are you building? I'm working on Legacy decks myself. I have almost everything I need for RWU Delver but black and green aren't really options since I'd need Tarmogoyfs, Bobs, Bayous & Thoughtseizes. I also only have 1 Underground Sea.

I mostly order from sellers on Amazon. There are at least 6 non foils available there and at least 1 FNM promo.
All the wheels. I like Fate Unraveler, Kederekt Parasite, Underworld Dreams and maybe Spiteful Visions. Psychosis Crawler. I also like Helm of the Ghastlord. Counterspells. Tutors. Card draw. Removal. /deck.
Don't try to incrementally drain them. Get all the pain cards out first. Then cast Nekusar. Then wheel chain.
