Dang I have played so much Civ V over the past couple days. Probably at least 12-15 hours. My civs keep getting attacked randomly by enemies who have no chance of killing me, but just seem to want to be a nuisance. Also I think I build too many buildings since my gold is almost always negative.
Trade routs (in the BNW expansion) are a good way to make gold. I'd suggest picking up Guilds and other other gold techs in the same line if you run out.
Military units cost a gold upkeep every turn, so having a large army is expensive.
How did everyone else's (well mostly the US posters) 4th of July events go? I felt like I was always traveling as I had to do 8 hours of driving in all this weekend. Still, I got to go to the lake and see all of my family (and 3/7 step siblings) due to it. It was fun.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
I finally finished watching Breaking Bad. What saddens me most about the series is that I will never find a chicken restaurant that sounds as delicious as the one in the show.
Have any of you guys ever sold cards to Star City Games? I'm helping my brother sell his collection since he doesn't play anymore, and it seems like we have been waiting a long time to receive payment. The cards were sent out on June 19th and delivered on June 24th according to the tracking information, but I haven't had any contact from SCG since the confirmation email approving the buy. For those of you that have sold to them in the past, is this normal, or should I be starting to worry?

I watched up until
he killed off the super crazy boss guy.
I thought that was the ending for a long time until someone told me that it continued from there....

I did a few years back. I remember spending about 20 hours preparing my sell to them. They did get mine processed quite quickly but it could be in part the amount of time I spent grading each card which might have made things easier as I assessed almost all of my collection as EX and very very little as NM. I dont know if it matters how big of an order you are selling to them though either. Mine back then was like $800.00 worth of credit in the middle of a timeframe where most of the cards I sold to them were very high sellers still which I suppose they might be more happy to process quickly.

Oh yes, it goes quite a bit further. Also you should probably spoiler that.

It was about 400 cards total so maybe that's why it's taking so long. I spent quite a bit of time grading as well, but I'm no expert on conditions, so they may have to regrade it. I classified most stuff as SP.

It's a little long, but given that it's 400 cards, they're likely still processing. Still, given it's been a week or two, it might not be a bad idea to send them an email, just to confirm that it was received. But yeah, they typically don't contact you until they've finished processing and can say "this is how much we're able to offer you based on our grading".

I did once. I did a pretty good job self-grading the cards and when in doubt listed them in worse condition than they were. I don't recall how long it took but I don't think it felt pretty short. I did opt for store credit so that could be why it is taking you longer.
For the first time, there's going to be a 1v1 tournament around here. Never actually played it and don't really like the banlist/additional ruleset but I'm giving it a go.
I got a Gheist deck already and it seems popular so why not

Tantarus: It didn't make the gaka greifer level, so it should be fine
Well turns out that we just got the payment for the cards in the mail today, right after I sent them an email of course.
That's awkward.
Edit: Hey veteran Pucites. At what point should I PM a person to check on whether they received the cards I sent? I'm at around 2.5 weeks now for two things I shipped off. Luckily they were both ~200 points each so it's not a big deal if they were lost in transit, but I'm not sure how to approach it.

I usually wait about three weeks. Some people, unfortunately, have a tendency to not go through their mail and give you credit due for cards right away. People who seem to do this a lot, I stop trading with them.

I checked it out, any reason why you're not playing geddon? too risky if geists get killed a lot?
Edit: And more importantly, his address and real name so that I can now stalk him at whim.
I think that's the real reason he trades online.
I prefer stalkers over friends because with stalkers I can always get a restraining order if I want them to go away.
@cryo: You're welcome, hope everything was in good order. I have 10,700 puca points and nothing I want now.
Wow. That's some hard core mailing. Assuming no one sends.me the Loyal Retainers I want I'll have around that much when all my trades go through. I have plenty of stuff I've set aside in case anyone is looking for the cards.
I kicked the back of my shopping cart in sandals last night in walmart. I peeled my pinky toenail back and its been bleeding everywhere. It was painful putting on socks and shoes this morning

I know. Though, if there's a certain avatar I'm attached to and want a chance, I'll tweak it a little (just like Weebo did back then).
Now I'm just lazy.
I'm also sending out the single priciest card I've sent to date, a foil Deathrite Shaman. For that, I can afford the extra expense.
Not really funny. When I think of you I think of a pony, just like Gals is a group of four elderly women. So it makes sense.

Nope. There was at least one more season. The series actually ends
