I sort of like bounce lands with some of white's go get lands if you have less effects. Outside of those though I usually dont care much for them. Its fun to copy other people's with Thespian's Stage though for some ramp.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
Bouncelands are amazing in Pauper, but in EDH I can't really get behind them unless you have a heavy Land Destruction meta.
They aren't very good in a heavy land destruction meta either. I guess they let you keep a land in hand against MLD, but they're terrible against any targeted land destruction. My playgroup is by no means heavy on land destruction, but I will take the opportunity to blow them up with Acidic Slime or Sylvan Primordial if there are no other good targets.
Mainly the one land I wanna reuse bojuka bog. The main reason I wanna switch them is due to wanna see something different. I'll stop by my local store one day this week or next.
Maybe I'll keep one just for that purpose. Any metal gear solid fans that can give me some feedback on the latest game? I picked it up but won't get a chance to play it till saturday.

It's...ok so far. The controls are some weird hybrid of MGS4 and Peace Walker, I'm still not used to Jack Bauer yet, not worth 30 bucks.
I must admit the production values for the game are amazing though.
I used to have issues with overly flirtatious students. When I taught my first college drawing course I was 24 and most of my students were 18-24 so that was super weird. As I get older I like the age distance more and more - no longer are they potential dates. They are puppies with North Face jackets acting like puppies.
Yea, I hear ya. It is very nice to be flirted with, and I cannot deny how lovely young adult females are (as pervy as it makes me feel), but the puppy analogy is quite apt. If I got another dog someday I am certain I would adopt a pound dog or rescue dog who was out of the overt puppy stage because puppies are just too much work and I have gotten my puppy phase well out of my system. That said, I hear that 19 year old girls are...uh, I was going to make a crate training joke but it felt wrong on so many levels and I feel like a misogynist for just thinking it. Could one of you whack me on the nose with a rolled up newspaper*?
*SMACK* NO DRWORM! That's a bad DrWorm! You go to your corner and think about what you thought about typing.
I know the feeling though; I always take the joke too far, and make it too soon. My wife told me I should get "Too Far-Too Soon" for my next tattoo.I kinda think I might. Maybe in Arabic because it is a beautiful language when written.

Arabic is beautiful, but who cares what it says? Just get some take out menu or something inked on there and love it for its aesthetics.

*queue joke amounting to "what's a newspaper"....
I got flirted with once. Then I woke up.
I usually realize after the fact that they were flirting... not the most productive thing ever lol. I can only think of a handfull of situations where it has happened but I usually handle it like a bumbling fool lol.

No thanks Gals. I doubt I ever get a tattoo in a language I don't read. I fear getting a tattoo I think says one thing just to find out it says "stupid ******* American" or something like that.
The only tattoo I have is my family coat of arms. It seemed like something hard to regret and I am still happy to have it.
I once saw someone with that mark for the ninja clan from GIJoe on his arm. I felt like that was something that would be like immediately regretted lol.

I'm probably never going to get a tattoo, mainly since I'm afraid of needles and couldn't bear it.
Also, if you are planning to get any kanji-characters in your hand, better do your background check well, since quite a many have different meaning in japanese and chinese...

I have one on my wrist that supposed means cruel. I was at a Chinese buffet once and the waitress for really.surprised when she saw it and asked if I knew what it meant. I'm guessing this is one of those situations where it has more than one meaning.

Or you can find your source in an art history book - it may be gibberish but it'll be classy gibberish. "What's that say?" "I don't know, but it's something about common conversions between volumes of grains."

A) The hurt... a lot. But pain is weird because as soon as it's over the memory of pain doesn't really have and sting. There have been a few spots where I thought I was going to ***** myself (outside wrist bones, under my shoulder blades, and pretty much any shading after 4 hours of needling were the worst), but it doesn't really make the memory or impression of the experience bad.
"if you are planning to get any kanji-characters in your hand, better do your background check well," and make sure it's your native language or are shopping for aesthetics. I never got the idea of attaching meaning to something you don't know - feels a bit empty. Honestly, I would just grab MTG cards and use those. Having "Snapcaster Mage" in Japanese will mean more than "Determination and perseverance" if it actually means "Dragging my itchy ass on the carpet."

People worry way too much about regret - Tattoos by their very nature are permanent events to mark a transitory thought. As long as you aren't putting your girlfriend's name or something like that, there isn't much you can get too worried about. I have a 6"x6" transformers tattoo on my back and it's pretty stupid. But, the part I regret is that I could have made it bigger and could have done it in color. I don't look at it and say "I would be a more attractive person if that wasn't there." And let's be honest... most of us aren't going to be prettier with or without a drawing on our skin. This isn't a Mormon Modeling Agency forum and most of us are just average looking guys.
So guys, at the end of May I'm taking a summer class where we're going to the northwest and souhwest of the US, hence why the class is called the NW/SW Field Experience. I get to actually see the rest of the county. I've been to several other countries, but barely anywhere in the U.S. We're going to be driving there in about 5 days. It seems like we'll be visiting a lot of famous cities, like Potland and Las Vegas. I may even run into some of you. Is there anything in the west I should be weary of? What are some cool things to look forward too? I don't need this class since I'm graduating in a month, but it just seems like so much fun. Also I know I'll never go out there unless I have a really good reason too. And it'll be cheaper going with a group than it would by myself.
