What's the most non-infinite damage that anyone has ever done?
This past weekend I had been playing my budget riku, and ate an early cataclysm. I kept riku and a parrallel lives, and eventually managed to drop 3 wirewood channellers. On the tuen prior to the declared win, I had 18 elves out, among them the fully leveld guy that let them all tap for 2 green. I also had 16 aethersnipe tokens, and managed to bounce anything of relevance, keeping me alive, and a fauna shaman.
We simply declared the game over, but on my next turn, I had easily 40 creatures, over 60 mana, and a fauna shaman, with birthing pod in hand, and aethersnipe. I'm pretty sure the first cast of chancellor of the forge gets me into the thousand tokens range, then I can bounce it several times to get into the billion token range, and finally pod it into a triple craterhoof behemoth...
I was rather intrigued at it.
on a very rrough guess, plugged into calculator, i'd have had somewhere near a bit over half a million goblin tokens, assuming I can cast chancellor 5 times.
About 619,210,523 creatures, ^4 thanks to crater = 1.47012178 x 10^35...
On the news they just talked about the Millennials , and said the age group is 18-34. That means I'm stuck at that awkward age where I'm both a Gen-Xer and a Millennial. No offense to you youngins, but I refuse to be a millennial.
The worst thing about getting into accidents like that is that you always think "well if I just hadn't been going to <frivolous place>, it wouldn't have happened."
Car crashes a scary, and take a long time to get over :/
I know. I was freaked out. And I still kinda am. I was in class today (barley) and i just started reliving the car crunching. Ughhhhh. I'm not even touching my Commander decks cause that's why I was driving in the first place. Mehhh.
My coworker seemed bummed out today so I asked him what was going on. He's hispanic, born in the US but his parents are not. ICE showed up at his house at 5:00AM this morning and arrested his mom.

Very crude guesswork, but uh... damn...
Edit 2:
I'm an idiot, its x4, not ^4...
So only about 2.5 billion damage.
I don't know if I've done that much.. I have attacked with Marton and 83 goblins via Krenko. So... 83x83 is 6,889. So that was raw damage. Added on the 1/1 bodies, thats 6,972... plus Marton with a sword, 6,976... not 2.5 billion, but hey, I was stoked with it

I was thrilled with a 1600 attackk before.
Also, I suck at math, that first craterhoof is definately a squaring function, which makes it x^2x3.
So 1,150,265,015,381,800,587 is the new result on the calculator. I'm likely still wrong, but I'm done with it. That's an absurd amount of damage.
I've been a loyal XBOX owner since the first one came out but I'm pretty sure I'm swapping back to Playstation for this next generation. Playstation finally fixed their garbage controller and their system is cheaper. Too bad for Microsoft because they really didn't have to work very hard to get my business and they still failed.
Also I played a game on MTGO yesterday. I'm using my prison Vorel deck which is admittedly my most hated deck (people seem to hate all my decks but this one they REALLY hate). So I keep a nice hand with early lockdown potential tutoring up Azusa for my turn 3 play on the play. One of the other guys drops a Plague Boiler to foil my plans and nobody else drops any permanents. 4 turns later the Plague Boiler goes off during upkeep (player to my right) and then he drops a Sakura-Tribe Elder and a Graveborn Muse. EOT I flash in Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir who is not countered so I've basically won at this point. I flash in Vorel as well EOT. Before I untap I explain that I'm more than happy to scoop so they can finish their game and I was just going to demonstrate I had them locked down. I untap, drop Tangle Wire, double the counters and do not feel my opponents are going to make it through my Pact of Negation with 1 mana. Given that one of the players is playing group hug I feel obligated to attack them with Teferi before I scoop. So as we're going to my attack phase Plague Boiler guy complains about how lame my deck is and scoops :/.
I think I need a deck that I don't hate playing that other people find enjoyable but it's really hard because I think I like playing decks because other people hate them
The same night, across the table, there were 4 ulamogs between 3 people, and the person who initially cast it didn't have one.
Godo cast ulamog.
Lazav cast phyrexian metamorph, copying ulamog. Then unmorphed a crab, and took control of the original ulamog. Legend rule kicks in, and he keeps the metamorph, and bins the original to Godo's yard. Lazav becomes an ulamog.
Next player casts a vesuman shapeshifter, and copies the lazav-the-ulamog. Then casts a Sakashima, copying the Vesuvan-Lazav-the-Ulamog, for a Sakashima-the-Vesuvan-Lazav-the-Ulamog.
I want you to wrap your head around the awesomeness of that...
I should be packing up my staff for the weekend (I'll be going to a anime/MtG -convention) but I don't feel like it. But I know I don't have time to do it tomorrow after my labs, so...
Also, what decks I should bring with me? I have 2 60-casuals, 2 EDH's, 1 legacy with sb and 1 modern without sb.
(The convention usually has visitors 3000-5000, last year there were 5017 according to their website.)
EDH's for sure, and maybe modern... but casual? Legacy? I've never been there before, so I don't know for sure...

WHY DID I NOT KNOW YOU'RE ON MTGO AND WHY HAVEN'T YOU ADDED YOUR NAME TO MY NETWORK?
I don't have an entire deck built in any format though either.... I am trying to work on that though.
It's really cheap to build decks online if you avoid the expensive staples and some of the insane stuff in paper is dirt cheap so I get to play with things like Tabernacle, Bazaar, Imperial Seal and Grim Tutor. Obviously it's far more fun to play in person but MTGO is not without it's perks.
maybe, maybe not lol. besides, what's so wrong with talking about that? it's part of our biology etc.
I'd ask that if mods deem that inappropriate that they just tell me and I'll edit it out, but I have the feeling that they'd just card me. ah well, been a while since I've gotten a card

He doesn't have a release date at the moment, and is similarly keeping a lot of mechanics and whatnot under wraps.
Also similarly, the lack of release date is primarily due to cost of art assets.
Thats exactly what I thought :/

Feel the power of mathematics!!! In school we should stop the review of trigonometric functions and start doing Craterhoof calculations

I do not recall these events transpiring. There was a brief time when I was doing a lot of 1v1, though.
You've been added to my buddy list, good sir.
Edit: Also added you to the MTGO Network page as well.

This, times 100,000 or so.
I think if my only choice for playing MtG was online, I'd give it up and become an alcoholic or a golfer, something loathsome like that.
