I don't really hate it; I'm just disappointed. For all the hype of an enchantment heavy set with Legendary Enchantment Creature Gods, there hasn't been a single card spoiled that Pristaxcontrombmodruu could use (well, perhaps with the Horse being the only exception).

That is neat, but the black decks I have don't need this at all.
Shirei likes it.
Ehh we still have half the set to spoil. You'll probably get 1 or 2 cards that you will at least try out.
With every set release I expect two cards to test and one to make it. And I always consider the possibility that there will not be a card for anything I play.

I like playing enchantment heavy decks as well so this has been a bit of a letdown so far. If the entire block has absolutely nothing worthwile except for a white Volrath's Stronghold for enchantments I'll be happy though. Give me a white enchantment tutor that is reasonably costed and I'll be ecstatic.

Hold on there, how about an enchantment with an ETB ability?
ETB enchantment 2W
Legendary Tribal Enchantment Snow - God
When ~ ETB search your library for an enchantment, reveal it and put it in your hand. Then shuffle your library.
EDIT: Damnit it combos with Dispersing Orb so they probably think it would be way OP.
EDIT 2: Gah! Now I want them to print it so I can combo it with Dispersing Orb and I know they won't! What have I done?!

And let me ask you this: Is lifelink worth an extra mana and the restriction of once per turn?
I personally think yes, but let me also ask you this: Can Sedris be put into every black EDH? No, so the whip is alot easier to include in a deck. Is this good for dedicated reanimator? Not really. Is this good for a deck that needs extra lifegain + reanimation when needed? DEFINITELY.
I don't know about you, but I'm going to run this in Prossh, and I'm sure mono-black decks will love it too. Also, this is one of the ONLY cards in black that gives lifelink, and the only one in black that gives ALL of your creatures lifelink. I think this is perfectly fine to run for many, many people.
I'm pretty sure there's an explainable reason for that, for now I shall just assume your ears got blown off and it's not as fun to watch if you can't hear/feel the suspense.
So amazing. I mean, it's insanely terrible, but amazing. Here's my exact reaction when I saw it: "I what is this what I mean I don't even begin to even auuuugh what *does* the fox say anyway?"

I'm kinda with you on this one. I built a Krond deck specifically to benefit from this set, and so far, there's been only 2ish cards I care about.
Then again, Magic's sets since about Scars block have been increasingly disappointing. I'm far more interested in the supplementary products these days (Duel Decks, Vaults, Commander sets, etc).
I'd have settled for the set being 50 critters with Monstrous and Bestow, 50 random cards, 25 land, and everything else being auras that do cool stuff (KEYWORD THE RANCOR ABILITY DAMMIT!) and random enchantments like Sigil and Quandary. That'd have been exactly what I wanted. I seriously want them to just throw Standard to the wolves for a year and do some insanely crazy stuff. Make nutty cards that don't even make sense (imagine a bizarre cross of Enchantment Creature with Bestow and Defender that is a strange version Aurification by turning things into itself during your upkeep; what about an Enchantment - Aura that bounces itself to your hand and drains your opponent for 2 each time it EtB/LtB). Magic's getting a little too safe. There isn't enough crazy going on right now (for the record, yes, Time Spiral *was* my favorite block and Future Sight is my favorite set).

Definitely.
There were a lot of good moments but the overall behavior of most characters was just pitiable.
Looked at the Oros deck I built to combat the recent heavy discard in my meta... it's running about a third of the 'unfriendly' cards in the list.
Grip of Chaos: Friend of the show and Pro Tour Scorekeeper Nick Fang loves this card—and to an extent, so do I. At a certain point, it goes from chaos-embracing to downright annoying (add Confusion in the Ranks for a stab-yourself-in-the-eyes good time). Gaka from MTG Salvation hits the nail on the head: "One day you'll be using a d20 to determine how many d20s you're using and you won't look at this in nearly the same way."
One card down, 98 to go.

It's actually a well-written article, despite me disagreeing with some of the card choices. His point of a social format being defined by communication is one hundred percent correct.
I do enjoy playing cards like Humility, Wound Reflection, and Obliterate, but mostly because the meta I play in taught me the use of those cards, and how games with them can be fun. If I walked into them blindly while trying to play a deck where all the cards had boats on them, I'd be a little offput. But then again, communication - "guys, I'm playing a deck with a bunch of janky boat cards, what kind of game are we playing?".
Sheldon, if you're reading, I like the writing, but might have emphasized even more how certain play groups can get a lot of enjoyment out of those cards if everyone knows what the game is about.

Whether or not you're in the MLD or the infinite camp or whatever, I think some of the cards on that list are ridiculous.
Humility? sorry, its the only other torpor orb effect in the game. Not like ETB needs to be dealt with, does it Sheldon?
And is Identity crisis actually on that list? Seriously? Its a good card for someone going out of control. But tbh I think its a bit narrow to run.
Grand Arbiter Augustin IV as well? Its strong but its effect isn't so powerful that it should be avoided. Its a utility creature for gods sake!
Wound reflection being on here is possibly the biggest joke though. Its not as good as Gisela, blade of goldnight, or True conviction. Or some others I could mention.
