So yesterday I played a three player game with an Esper Control deck, Wrexial, and my Riku ETB deck.
Esper stax died fairly early leaving us left and with low lands. On a crucial turn, my opponent briberies my deck and grabs a craterhoof behemoth. With his 3 other dudes, he swung at me for 27 damage. I am at 25 life so my vithian renegades and fierce empath block to put me at 1. He had a mindcrank in play so I milled 24 cards as well. Chances are looking REAL small for me to eek out a board stall at 1 life.
My Azusa, Lost but Seeking commanding opponent just finished wiping out everyone but me with a huge field of cards I can't even fully remember and it was down to my turn. I told everyone I wasn't giving up and took my turn. I dropped down a Stuffy Doll with the Azusa player's name on it and a Gilded Lotus. Little did anyone know I had a Simulacrum in my hand. I passed and the Azusa player had his Kamahl, Fist of Krosa buff his creatures. He attacks, I respond with Simulacrum targeting my Stuffy Doll.

Unless he's dealing non-lethal damage to you and he has less life than the damage he dealt, I don't see how that works. It looks like you have to survive the damage in order to cast it.
EDIT: and certainly responding to an attack isn't going to do anything - "further damage is treated normally" as the original wording helpfully points out.
I hope someone out there can appreciate this epic play.
I am playing my Angus Mackenzie deck and have Hive Mind out on the field. (No pacts in the deck). I cast a Telemin Performance. Both opponents choose me with their copies. (Bonus points: there are about 15 creatures in my deck.) So I flip, flip, flip, flip... flip... flip... flip... please be... is... is that.... you? LEVELER! I'm so excited I dont even explain, I just put it down on my opponent's field and start high fiving and dancing

I was happy with my Pheldagrif EDH on a 8-man match, a Zedruu players asks me for all the tokens I could give him, the entire field was full of creatures, so I proceed to give him 7 tokens, I pass and during his turn he managed to play Bronze Bombshell, Mirrorweave and Scrambleverse, seeing the situation I crack my Elixir of Immortality and flashes in a Invincible Hymn with my Alchemist Refuge. I was the only survivor with 5 life.

*looks at oracle text* I think you're right. Simulacrum is apparently not actual redirection. Looks like I BS'd a win there.
That moment when you realize you have assembled a convoluted yet efficient multi-piece card draw/life siphon/token engine that works... only for it to start getting torn apart by that guy who wants to throw down that Aura Shards that he just drew into and started ripping a new one in your engine. So frustrating like whoever is governing Luck and Fate just does not like you today for some reason.

Reliquary tower only make black mana if you got Urborg II out, and Hecatomb doesn't work if you can't sac 4 creatures.
My friend was playing Sharuum and played a Magister Sphinx targeting me; but I had a True Believer out that he forgot about. He had to target himself and therefore I got to swing for lethal the following turn.
That is amazing. I really wanted to build a deck that could do things like that but I never got around to building it because I already have another Mimeoplasm deck.
I was piloting Genju against four other players (Intet, Rafiq, Jenara and Grimgrin). Through some bad luck, I was left with a board of a few manlands, a couple gates my Maze of Ith, and a Torpor Orb, which pretty much locked down a chunk of the game. Thankfully, my position was bad enough that everyone was gunning for each other (Also, Rafiq didn't have protection so I could Maze him if he attacked me). Soon it was just Intet and Jenara trying to kill Rafiq, and Rafiq poised to one-shot anyone he could land a hit on. It ended up coming down to me resolving a Legacy Weapon with enough mana open for one activation. Between that and the Maze of Ith, I essentially started playing King Maker. Over the next few rounds, I regulated everything, between Two Weapon shots and Maze, so that Jenara died, Intet as at about 10 life, and Rafiq was at 4. It comes back to me, I animate my Colonnade and kill Rafiq. Out of courtesy and respect, Intet promptly scoops, saying "You, sir, are the greatest politician I have ever seen."
Had a little fun with turning Planeswalkers into creatures. Had Mycosynth Lattice and Garruk Wildspeaker in play, making Garruk an Artifact Planeswalker - Garruk. Then cast March of the Machines, which made all artifacts into artifact creatures. Note that this is NOT in addition to its other types. Therefore I now had an Artifact Creature - Garruk.
At the time, the rules restricted a Planeswalker from activating an ability once a turn only and at sorcery speed. However, creatures had no such restrictions. I promptly activated each ability many times at instant speed, making an arbitrarily large amount of mana, infinite beasts, and overrunning a lot.
Unfortunately, the rules now state that any permanent may not activate a loyalty ability more than once per turn so this combo no longer works. It was pretty nuts though.
Was playing a three player game with my (now retired) Mayael the Anima deck, and I got my Mossbridge Troll up to a 45/45. Played Soul's Majesty to draw 45 cards, then played a land I just drew, Rogue's Passage to kill one opponent with my 45/45 unblockable. I promptly Flinged my troll at the other opponent, finishing him as well.
There oughta be a rule in EDH, that you can't win unless you killed all of your opponents in a single turn.

I look at my hand, body double. Look in my graveyard and theres clone, progenitor mimic, phantasmal image, sakashima, the imposter, terastadon, chancellor of the spires. My opponents graveyard has a nice rise from the grave. So I proceed to body double the chancellor, cast the rise, and reanimate a clone, copy the chancellor, repeat. Got my clones in play and then grabbed a terastadon to blow up my 2 islands and his greaves (so he couldn't just wrexial kill me). I stabilized! But he had the damnation. Sad day
I eventually just got domed for 1 by a creature but the loop was fun to pull off!

T1: Swamp
T2: Swamp, Bitterblossom
T3: Reliquary Tower, Dark Prophecy
T4: Blood Artist
T5: Hecatomb

Reliquary tower only make black mana if you got Urborg II out, and Hecatomb doesn't work if you can't sac 4 creatures.
I am guilty of such maniacal glee as well.
T1: Mountain, Orcish Lumberjack
T2: Forest, Deus of Calamity
It works, he just has to sac the Blood Artist too.
Now casting the Dark Prophecy with those three lands is another story.
Opponent: Fetch land, sol ring, mana crypt, darksteel ignot, sensi's devining top
Me: Plains,Stoney silence
ok that is a lie that hasn't actually happend to me.. but it can easily imagine it happening... I have seen the Sol ring + mana crypt start.
I can't remember it exactly but this actually did happen.
Op1: Swamp go
Op2: Forest: search for tomorrow
Me: Island, Lunmaic Acssension
Op1: small creature
Op2: more ramp.
Me: small blocking ultility creatures
Op1: agressive creatures
Op2: ramp...
Me: land go.
Op1: slightly bigger creature
Op2: ramp
Me: angels End of turn... attack OP2.
Op1: mana screwed.
Op2:... ramp.
Me: angels attack OP2.
Op1: small creautre, zombish aggro deck it was.
Op2.... ramp but reveals a palencron off his ocale of mul daya. Plays riku
Me:.. angels... to the face.
Op1: no longer important.
Op2: bribery me... can't find anything to save him from the angels.. even though he has infinite mana whenever he wants.
Me: kills OP2 with angels.
I think killing people with lower power cards is more satisfying... they try to just Power/money you out you play something simple and it wreaks them.

I've had games like that. My one play group uses Sol Ring and X Diamond (Fire Diamond or Charcoal Diamond), so it looks like:
T1: Land, Manafact, Manafact pass.
T2: Land, Sol Grail and a small creature (usually a mana Myr).
The day I added Stoney Silence to Sigarda was the day we stopped seeing opening moves like that.

It seems they don't want to learn that without the hard counter of mass ld/inf combo to hold back a ramp deck, ramp wins. Always.
