Playing 2hg me (Rasputin) and Riku vs Aurelia and Sun Quan.
We are getting crushed....Riku has ramped a little but has not been able to get anything going. I have done absolutely nothing.
Aurelia has nailed us for around 20 dmg after we burned some removal on Sun Quan's stuff.
Sun Quan casts Quicksilver Gargantuan targeting Aurelia, he is promptly removed. Aurelia attacks alone and I chump block with a flier and take the rest.
We are hanging on by a thread while they are unscathed until........we both top-deck Body Double.
We cast them, targeting Quicksilver Gargantuan and each have him come into play as Aurelia and win over that turn and the next.
The other night, I was playing my Ghave Stax list (link in blog) and was playing in a game with 3 other people (generals irrelevant). My opener almost guaranteed a turn 2 lock....
T1: Land, sol ring, mana crypt, smokestack (opponents each play a land)
T2: Tick up smokestack, cast awakening zone (opponents each sac land and play a land)
T3: Tick up smokestack, slam doubling season
GG: Opponents locked out entirely. Game.
None of them scooped until I showed them that there is literally no way that they come back from this since none of them run nature's claim.

You make we want to spend $60 on a Mana Crypt for my own Ghave deck.
Playing trostani selesnya's voice vs damia and something else that was b/w (think it was teeysa)..
End up derping a ton of enchantments no one wants to get rid of thanks to karmic justice. Doubling season makes a huge ever flowing chalice and then I armeggedon/storm herd with trostani out for about a hundred pegasus, that got doubled. Ended up at over a thousand life that game. Was awesome.
Anyway, I'm playing a ton of Wheel effects that lets me win somehow (Molten Psyche, mostly, but there's other stuff). Zegana is counter madness and Exava...well...
It plays a lot of weird global effects like Gate to the AEther and Infernal Genesis, both of which were out. Oh, and Timesifter. This is my new least favorite card. My deck is tuned! There's a lot of small cost cards! Zegana is all splashy, so almost every time we revealed, Zegana won with 6CMC and I got stuck with 3CMC as my highest. I didn't get another turn that game! I was all ready to combo out, too.
Same players, other decks, Reaper King had out Dual Nature, Progenitor Mimic, and Myr Battlesphere. With everything he was casting, we could barely track all the tokens. I scooped because I actually ran out of dice in my great big bag of dice and it was giving me a headache.
Game one, I'm playing Teysa, Orzhov Scion against Ghave combo, Zegana, and Kaalia. I keep a one land hand and go:
T1 Phyrexian tower, Sol Ring, Orzhov Signet.
T2 Sorin, Lord of Innistrad, make a token.
T3 Phyrexian Altar, play my general, make a second token, sac the original token to Phyrexian Tower, make and sac the spirit, Phyrexian arena.
T4 Mentor of the Meek, Make a token, sac the token to Phyrexian Tower, Make a spirit, draw one card off of Mentor, play Fetid Heath fetching a dual, sac spirit, token, spirit and lay Elspeth Tiriel, making a soldier. Sac soldier and use floating mana to play Bitterblossom.
T5 I draw four cards, blow up critters with Sorin's ult, and lay a Sadistic Hypnotist, then proceed to eat the rest of my opponent's hands.
So, I got to activate and copy nicol bolas' ultimate, in my mono-blue deck. "Knocked" two people out of the game with it, then two turns later actually eliminated the third with 34/34 Sturmgeist.
EDH is like French fries: some people like waffle cut, crinkle cut, or plain old straight cut, and while there's slight flavor difference and personal preference, at the end of the day they're still fries.
I was playing Cromat super friends, game had been going for a long time and we had reached sort of a stalemate after many, many board wipes. I had High Market, Academy Rector and 14+ other lands in play. At the end of an opponent's turn I cast Mystical Tutor for Entreat the Angels (which was a mistake). At my upkeep I realized the mistake and responded the Miracle trigger with High Market for Rector, fetching
Mirari's Wake. After a couple minutes of careful consideration, I separated a few lands (just to make sure I wouldn't mess up) and used the others to make a large number of tokens, 14 or something, cast Sarkhan Vol, gave +1/+1 and haste and won. That all with still mana up for Hinder AND to Snapcaster Mage it back.
Another nice play with this same deck was having Doublibg Season out when casting Sorin, Lord of Innistrad, using his ultimate to steal a Jace, Memory's Adept, another Planeswalker I can't remember from the same player and uhhh Acidic Slime from another I think? Anyway, I proceeded to ultimate Jace on myself, drawing 20, with Reliquary Tower among those. That felt good.
But I guess everything gets stupid when Doubling Season is involved. Like casting Garruk, Primal Hunter and Sarkhan Vol on the same turn to surprise buttsex everyone. "Oh crap, 22 Wurms. At least we get a turn to... oh, haste...". Good times.
Second week in a row starting with a nearly empty board state to insanity: All I had was Altar of Dementia and Jace Beleren, with 11 mana. I’m at 26 and it’s looking bad because everyone besides me has an army. The good news is that they’re all tapped out. Jesse is at 20, Anthony at 40, and Shea at 34, each with enough creatures to be dangerous to me—the relevant one of which is Anthony’s Blood Artist.
I cast Life’s Finale, targeting Anthony, knowing that he’s going to lock me down with Yosei, the Morning Star. This triggers Shea’s Lurking Predators, but he whiffs. Anthony points the triggers for all 16 Blood Artist triggers at my head, taking me to 10, putting him at 56. I put Sepulchral Primordial, Angelic Skirmisher, and Angelic Arbiter in Anthony’s yard, floating the rest of my mana. Cast Puppeteer Clique, getting Anthony’s Sepulchral Primordial. That gets Shea’s Sepuchral Primordial, Jesse’s Maelstrom Wanderer, and Anthony’s Yosei. Next Primordial gets Jesse’s Phyrexian Metamorph (which copies Primordial), Shea’s Angel of Despair (which is going to blow up his Maze of Ith), and Anthony’s Angelic Skirmisher (which I know is going to say Lifelink when I attack). Next Primordial gets Jesse’s Clone (obviously copying Primordial), Anthony’s Blood Artist, and Shea’s Restoration Angel (which blinks a Primordial). Two more triggers give me more creatures with no relevant abilities, except for an Acidic Slime, which takes out Shea’s Lurking Predators. Because of Jesse’s Maelstrom Wanderer, my creatures have haste. I have to be careful though, because there’s not 110 points of damage here. I can mill out people, but I can’t kill anyone because then I wouldn’t have their creatures available for attacking.
I have 69 combat damage to distribute, so I attack Anthony down to 6 and Jesse to 1, leaving alone Shea. I then use Altar of Dementia to mill Shea with Anthony and Jesse’s creatures, killing them with Blood Artist, tapping down Shea with Anthony’s Yosei. I keep Shea’s creatures and my own, then kill him on my next turn.
In my Teysa EDH deck, I play a Netherborn Phalanx to tutor some good stuff... One day, I played against a friend and in his turn, he played a Storm Herd with more life than me... With no answer in my hand, it all depends of my top deck... I draw and look my Netherborn Phalanx with a little disgust 'cause I can't transmute and played the 6cmc spell that I tutor... Don't need to say you that I never read the other text before this game... About to say GG, I saw the awesome text of the card and kill my friend with is own pegasus...

That's basically Jon in a nutshell. He builds awesome decks out of crap cards. I'll see if I can get the lists off of him, but I mentioned the key cards already.

Could you have rotated Sepulchral Primordials? I see two Primordials and a Clone, along with your Altar of Dementia. To me that looks like being able to play every creature in their decks, barring Eldrazi shenanigans.
Don't recall how this happen(S), but the last three games Ive played with my play group theirs been 6+ sylvan primordial out by turn four/five...
yeah.

I don't see why your friends would scoop...you have no way of paying the cost on Braids (like a token generator or anything) so until you find one, I would not scoop to you. Yes Balthor and Karrthus lost a single land but oh well. They can just play draw go until you kill yourself....
This is assuming you didn't have like a bitterblossom or something in hand.
"Cast Patriarch's Bidding?"
*sigh* "Resolves."
"I'll bring back all my dragons. Cast Karrthus?"
"Desertion?"
Emille, Seven-Sting Dancer Shalin Nariya
Haha, nice. Desertion (and Gather Specimens) never gets old in those situations. Opponent smiles turn to frowns in a flash. :(:D

Turn 1: Ancient Tomb, Grim Monolith, Mox Diamond (pitching a Mountain), Lion's Eye Diamond. Sac LED to cast Adamaro, tap the Mox and Grim Monolith to flashback Reckless Charge and swing for 10.
Opponent: Land, go.
I hope this is a sign of things to come.
