This silly one happened this afternoon--played four EDH games today, and only won one. But man did I win this one big.
I'm playing my Kresh the Incredible Hulk list against Olivia vampire tribal and some random deck I loaned out to a friend--Jenara angels I think? Well, after getting Wrathed a few times, I'm left with no guys, just a Defense of the Heart and Fires of Yavimaya that have been sitting there the WHOLE FREAKING GAME. Sorin Markov takes me from 33 to 10. Olivia plays a Falkenrath Marauders which will break Defense on my next turn, then I get attacked for 12. "Before damage, animate Treetop Village, sacrifice it to Miren, the Moaning Well, go to 1 life?"
Untap, Defense for Kiki-Jiki and Grave Titan. Cast Doubling Season, Kiki to make two titans and eight zombies. Then cast Thromok the Insatiable devouring my board for a 392/392 hellion with haste, kill the vampires player. Postcombat, Fling Thromok at other player.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
mine was a 1v1 game vs a guy that, would "ROFL-Stomp me because his deck is aggro and EDH is usually a slow format...so it probably wouldn't be much of a game"
i tutor up darksteel forge instead, and force him to blow the o-stone when i cast my darksteel forge. well, after that, i lay down extraplanar lens, and the cage of suns i drew without fear of him shattering my extraplanar lens (snow-covered swamps :-D). the tower of fortunes ends up drawing me 16 cards, one of which is our favorite high-tide monstrosity "candelabra of tawnos" so i'm making upwards of 30 mana each turn.
he had been talking about his combo pieces to help him win since i had a giant board position and he wasn't going to aggro me out by the time i'd be able to assemble the big mana spells i normally use to win so i get an idea in my head.
life's finale
i cast it, killing a few of his guys, and graveyard-binning his combo creatures.
i don't know how his deck works, but i see 2 goblins that have sacrifice abilities so i grab them and a seige-gang commander. (skirk prospector was one of them).
well, i cast geth that turn, and with the 40 mana i have left, i use 2 of it to steal skirk prospector
then use 6 to steal siege gang commander which mills him for 5. sacrifice 4 goblins to make 4 colorless mana. use 2 black and the 4 colorless to mill 5 more, and steal siege gang again and again 30 times till i put his whole deck into the yard. :-D
I was playing my Zedruu deck and on turn 5 stuck a Venser's Journal, that nobody took seriously and let hang around the field for about 20 turns. By turn 15 one of the players had to pack up and leave so it was just three players.
So it is like turn 20 and I am at like 176 life with 20 cards in hand. One of my opponents for craps and giggles decides to cast Arbiter of Knollridge knowing that the other opponent was about to ultimate his Ajani Goldmane and make a gigantic Avatar. So we are all at 176 life. The Ajani opponent ultimates Ajani and passes the turn to me. So on my upkeep I gain 20 life so now I am at 196 life. I cast Ray of Command on the Avatar and attack the opponent who's avatar it was killing him, then I fling 'd the Avatar at my other opponent, killing him.
My opponents all laughed ridiculously hard at that.
In another match I was playing my Riku deck, and had the mana to cast and copy World at War, then casted insurrection that same turn. That was one of the funniest moments of my life.

Yea, those are MTG Bars. What can I say, I am a dork
What I mean by that is something that happened winning you the game so early or turning the game around by ridiculous means, that the chances of the cards aligning the way that they did is almost impossible to reoccur.
I'll start with mine, it was a four-man EDH, my commander is Glissa, the Traitor. {TA: Total Artifacts, TM: Total Mana, CIH: Cards in Hand}
Turn 4: I drop Hive Mind
Riku Player goes to his turn, drops Hive mind, then Copy Enchantment...on Hive Mind.
the Phelddagrif player drops Copy Enchantment, copying Hive Mind, then drops Eye of the Storm.
The Cho-Manno player drops Opalescence.
It passes back to me, I cast Rite of Replication, kicked, at Hive Mind.
So, we had to resolve that for 4 Hive Minds with four players. In other words, each other player was copying this 3 times, we decided. 14 Hive Minds enter play.
Pass turn. Riku player casts Warp World.
He and I were the only ones that didn't just concede immediately

Currently Getting Back into the swing of MTGS. Bear with me folks~
I can't recall what turn it was, but here's the board state: I'm down to ~10 life and he's back up to 40 some through a Batterskull, although he's taken 20 general points from Gisela. Through a bizarre interaction involving me getting Mindslavered, my Gisela is imprinted on his Mimic Vat. He has a ton of lands, the mentioned Vat and Batterskull (unequipped), plus a few other mana artifacts. I have 11 lands (one of which is Slayers' Stronghold), a Mark of Asylum, an unequipped Lightning Greaves, and a Knollspine Dragon in hand.
After he hits me with my own Gisela, I untap and draw a Flametongue Kavu. I play the Kavu (targeting himself as there's no other legal targets, but I have Asylum out), equip Greaves and hit for 4. I follow up with the Knollspine Dragon and manage to rip an Austere Command and some lands. I pass the turn, and I chump block the Gisela token with the dragon. He then plays Storm Herd for a ton, thinking he's got the game on lockdown either way. On my turn I play the Command to wipe the board of small creatures and artifacts, putting my Gisela back into my command zone. I pass back, he does nothing, then I recast Gisela and pump with Slayers' Stronghold to finish him off with general damage.
i was playing riku chaos which i only busted out after the beers started running low on most game nights. it seldom did anything that wins unless its something like insurrection but luck being what it is and a board consisting of things like 2 baneslayer angels a wurmcoil engineprime time and various other game breakers i draw into rite of replication and radiate... with mana for both and to kick the rite.... everyone scooped once they read the radiate, i couldnt tell them what was happening cause i was to busy laughing about it
On my turn I play the Command to wipe the board of small creatures and artifacts, putting my Gisela back into my command zone
Actually Gisela would just stay exiled. The choice to go the general zone or not would have been made when the mimic vat trigger attempted to imprint her. Once she has successfully been imprinted, the only way to get her back is to imprint something else, causing her to be put into your graveyard and giving you the choice of allowing that or putting her into your command zone.
I used Bribery on the Rebound plane, stole Grave Titan from one player, Prime Time from another. I used Phantasmal Image and Phyrexian Metamorph on Prime Time. Then on Cliffside Market I rolled Chaos, traded a Zombie token from Grave Titan for Vigor. I swung at another player with a 2/1 black ninja, swapped it for Silent-Blade Oni and played Engulfing Slagwurm (I was hoping Primal Surge was in his hand lol).
They all scooped.
I was baffled.

Stonebrow draws and counts his mana to cast Tooth and Nail followed by Wild Ricochet. First one getting Eternal Witness (getting back Urabrask the Hidden) and Avenger of Zendikar, putting both into play. Second one resolves getting Craterhoof Behemoth and putting Urabrask into play as well. Combat starts and I draw with Top to get Momentary Blink off the top of my library to cast it on my Duplicant removing Urabrask the Hidden from the battlefield. He still had four creatures that didn't have summoning sickness and they all went at me with something like a twenty four power and toughness boost from Craterhoof. I flashback Momentary Blink on the Duplicant again (one down), Dispatch on another (two down), then block one of them with my Wurmcoil Engine, and after trample damage plus lifelink I go down to four.
End of turn I flash into play Scourglass thanks to Shimmer Myr and pop it during my upkeep killing all other creatures except for mine then putting the Craterhoof Behemoth on my Mimic Vat. I then proceed to make a Behemoth token and take out the remaining two players in one fell swoop.
I'm running a ridiculous enchantment themed Tariel deck.
Omnath player has had a Keeper of Progenitus in play for most of the game so far, benefiting everyone. The Riku player rolls chaos on Grand Ossuary getting twelve saproling tokens. The Omnath player has six green creatures in play and there are three Terastadon tokens in play.
Come my turn I cast Brightflame for six, wiping most of the field and putting me at 162 life. I laugh maniacally inside as I finish the turn and pass. Everyone goes about their turns not doing much, it gets to the player right before me and he planeswalks into Cliffside Market, i about cry. My turn comes I get my life back and fail to planeswalk. My life total goes around the table and Omnath manages to planeswalk.
At this point I'm thinking, "don't worry, you can still do this it's just some life hang in there." On my turn I Idyllic Tutor for Pestilence. I cast Pestilence and activate it's ability to wipe the board (I have a Death Pits of Rath in play) and omnath destroys the pits with Krosan Grip in response...nothing dies and I get destroyed by the Lin-Sivvi player who goes after me.
Coincidentally Omnath won that game with his rather large life total, so I just kept telling myself that I won vicariously through omnath.
---------------------
After that we did a four player EDH planechase, all of us change decks.
I switch to my Latulla deck. I win the roll, choose to go first. Everyone draws, does their mulligans and whatnot and I ask "okay, is everyone done with their mulligans now, you're all happy with your hands?" a resounding "yes." I begin the game, draw, drop a mountain and cast Winds of Change, again the maniacal laughter begins inside of me. The game goes incredibly fast at this point, I drop a Furnace of Rath and land Glacial Chasm. We eventually planeswalk to Glimmervoid. I cast Fanning the Flames for 6, dealing twelve to everyone except for me because of the chasm. At this point everyone but me has 6 or less life. No one can get us out of Glimmervoid and I win the next turn with Undying Flames.
Long story short, winning the roll and having Winds of Change in your opening hand is one of the most satisfying things ever.
When an Animar deck has a Blightsteel Colosus, 16 counters on Animar, and an assorted army of some twelve odd other artifact creatures, and the the Savra deck casts Primal Surge, flips his whole deck and lands with 20 Relentless Rats, what does a poor little Nemata deck do?
Flash in an eternal witness of the Rat deck's Aluren, return a Whirlwind to hand, then tap Rofellos to drop a predator, flagship, tutor up Vorinclex off of a greesun zenith, tap lands for 48 mana, double it to 90 off of a doubling cube, launch every single rat into the air along side all of Animar's non-shroudy, non-indestructible blockers, and Whirlwind it all away. Then replay Nemata, make 4 more saprolings and swing with the 35 saprolings I'd made last turn.
I was playing my newly revamped mono-blue deck, (Used to be Braids, now is Talrand.), against Jor-Kardeen and Skeleton King.
With life no longer an option to win, I decide to go with my alternate route of victory.
I open my turn with a Reminisce, then a Mystical Tutor for Flow of Ideas. I cast Vision Skeins, Flow of Ideas for 9 and then activate my first Jace's Archivist (I had Phyrexian Metamorph copying the archivist also.) Library of Leng allows me to put most of my hand on top of my library. The net result was that he discards 9 cards and we draw 29 since that's how many cards are in my hand. Geth's Grimoire allows me to draw 9 more cards and I activate the second archivist to force him to draw 38 cards.
Wow. That guy is SOOO going in my Kresh deck as we speak!
(What the hell did you RL MTG players do to Portal? Did you hate it so much that you had deck burning bonfires to get rid of the cards, thus increasing the rarity and prices? Did people mail back their fat packs to WotC in droves, demanding refunds?)
Playing Sisters of Stone Death against my buddy's Sharuum deck last night, I had the most explosive start I've ever gotten out of that deck (I think it's the second fastest start possible), which is saying something.
Then spend the next turns beating him down with my general. He held them off for a few turns with a Solemn Simulacrum/High Market/Academy Ruins, but you can only do so much against a start like that if you're not holding removal.
That is a badass play-by-play lol I love cooperative kills.
We once made a guy almost start swinging on my buddy, he was playing a borrowed UG Momir combo deck and the rest of us had pretty casual ones, well my Kaalia buddy was dropping stuff that exiled his hand and made him discard, while I was dropping Phantasmals and Clones on Momir everytime he entered, killing him repeatedly to lock him from comboing.
I sacked the artifact creature for basalt monolith, which enabled me to make infinite mana with rings of brighthearth. I casted mycosynth lattice. With lattice in play I noticed arcum was now an artifact creature. I used minamo to untap him, then sacked arcum to himself. I decided to fetch Thousand-Year Elixir. Now that arcum was in the command zone and I still had a million mana in my pool, I recasted him and sacked him to himself (thanks to the elixir) to fetch me another artifact. I did this over and over, piling counters on arcum with each visit to the command zone and emptying my library of artifacts and putting them on the battlefield.
That was awesome. I'm always finding new ways to abuse with that deck.

I had a game a while back where someone casted Twilight Shepherd, so I cast Rite of Replication on it, with kicker, the next 5 turns, and and beat everyone down in the process.
The shock on that guys face, even after he removed his own creature, I still had enough of my own to keep making them. =)
Very late game in a 5 player free for all im playing riku vs reafiq, sigarda, kresh, ghave. I had guilded draked a rafiq players general to timestretch (not copied and non infinite) and kill off 3 out of 4 opponents (only one with rafiq commander damage). Pass my turn. Rafiq goes to wipe the board so in response i chaos warp his rafiq into his library. On my turn i bribery his rafiq give it haste and pump it with kessig wolf run for a single shot general kill with his own rafiq.
I had a pretty fun little board state this last weekend during a 5-man game:
I'm playing my Glissa deck when someone wipes the board with Chain Reaction. I had a Clone Shell in play at the time, which flips a Sheoldred into play on its way out.
The Grimgrin player drops a Call to the Grave on her next turn, thinking she'll make me sacrifice Sheoldred. She then proceeds to facepalm during my next turn when I stack the upkeep triggers such that Sheoldred recurs the Clone Shell, which I sacrifice to the Call trigger. This time I hit a Steel Hellkite. This continued twice around the table until someone found an answer to Sheoldred. I missed the next two Clone Shell triggers, but I was pretty happy to cycle through my deck for a few turns.
To elaborate, apparently one of his opponents said that Zeph cast enough spells EOT to shame a Tendrils deck.
--- Meren of Clan Nel Toth --- Jhoira of the Ghitu --- Prime Speaker Zegana ---
--- Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief --- Ghoulcaller Gisa --- Akroma, Angel of Fury --- Titania, Protector of Argoth ---

my opening hand has vampiric tutor, extraplanar lens, 3 swamps, ashes to ashes and tower of fortunes. i'm thinking i'll tutor for phyrexian arena or necropotence but he lays out an early oblivion stone and my first two draws are more artifact mana such as basalt monolith and mana-vault.
i tutor up darksteel forge instead, and force him to blow the o-stone when i cast my darksteel forge. well, after that, i lay down extraplanar lens, and the cage of suns i drew without fear of him shattering my extraplanar lens (snow-covered swamps :-D). the tower of fortunes ends up drawing me 16 cards, one of which is our favorite high-tide monstrosity "candelabra of tawnos" so i'm making upwards of 30 mana each turn.

stuff
T1 land, sol ring, orzhov signet.
T2 land, braids.
T3 sac land, play land, spectral procession, scoops all around.
I've since removed braids, but man that was a nuts game.

And going...
And going...
He finally folded, making it a much more manageable game.
It's pretty late in the game and I have Sphinx of the Steel Wind, Wurmcoil Engine, Duplicant, Shimmer Myr, some other small guys like Treasure Mage and such, a Sensei's Divining Top, and a Mimic Vat imprinting an Anger to try and get Stonebrow off of haste.

I begin the game, draw, drop a mountain and cast Winds of Change, again the maniacal laughter begins inside of me.

Geth's Grimoire allows me to draw 9 more cards and I activate the second archivist to force him to draw 38 cards.
Decked in EDH. Victory is mine.

Wow. That guy is SOOO going in my Kresh deck as we speak!
Turn 1: Swamp
Turn 2: Woodland Cemetery, Mana Crypt, Skyshroud Claim → Bayou + Overgrown Tomb, Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary
Turn 3: Sisters
Then spend the next turns beating him down with my general. He held them off for a few turns with a Solemn Simulacrum/High Market/Academy Ruins, but you can only do so much against a start like that if you're not holding removal.
What deck did you play (can i see list?) and what was the general?
The next game, I maelstrom wanderer'd into kiki jiki, mirror breaker and izzet chronarch, with a time warp in my graveyard. I didn't realize had an infinite turn engine in the deck until that happened. Cool feeling.
My G Yisan, the Bard of Death G deck.
My BUGWR Hermit druid BUGWR deck.
"If you'll all hold tight I'll just be going through my library and pulling out every single artifact now, hope you enjoy"

The shock on that guys face, even after he removed his own creature, I still had enough of my own to keep making them. =)
Azusa - Derevi - Glissa - Mizzix - Sharuum - Wanderer - Wort
