[EDH] It's built to be a casual format and to a specific vision, and if you don't like the vision, there's nothing wrong with that, but it's not going to change to accommodate everyone. Big tent is not a goal.
The cost seems way too high, and in a blue deck that runs a bunch of counters you are not going to be having a ton of creatures going to the graveyard. Forbid seems way more manageable.
I've been having a recent love affair with Dimir Doppelganger. It's a weird cross between a Body Double and a Withered Wretch and totally awesome in a slower/casual meta. It won't get ETB triggers, but becoming any sort of fatty or utility guy is decent value. It can also exile your own guys to be a sort of makeshift reanimation spell. I'd suggest it for any U/B deck with graveyard interaction, especially in slower metas.
...Yes. I didn't even realize I said Time walk. My bad. Nice catch bud haha
Whoops, thanks for catching the mistake. I've seen a lot of people with Time Warp and Temporal Manipulation into decks, both of which are fairly priced cards. Anyways, this card seems like the one of the cheapest extra turn cards out there and I'm surprised more budget players like myself aren't playing it. Plus, I'm planning on recurring it with Eternal Witness anyways.
Ooo Daddy likes! I've been looking for some new (& interesting grave hate), thanks for chiming in on this one.
As far as Gems I've a card, Moan of the Unhallowed using it in Jeleva in a "creature slot"(trying to get other sorceries that produce creatures in it, instead of creatures). Actually not terrible in theory, two 2/2's for 4 (or free!) ain't bad, plus flashback, icing on ye' old cake.

you know, if you're going this route, you should definitely run Polymorph and Proteus Staff, that way you can have a few massive bomb creatures that you're sure to hit when you polymorph a token. Proteus Staff is also good for tucking a commander

found an overlooked goodie: haven't tried it yet, but Forced March seems solid for destroying token swarms and armies of weenies in general.

You know I think your right, Polymorph is an option worth trying out.
I've used Forced March it's actually a very good card, I think triple black puts a lot of people off of it though (it shouldn't). Good for plays like, "Forced March everything dies save for my Grave Titan/Lord of the Void, excellent (Swing!)."
As cool as Gloomdrifter is, by the time you have 7 cards in your GY, shouldnt you be in a position to drop Massacre Wurm and laugh at the opponent's face even louder? Just sayin', Gloomdrifer is still a solid second Wrath-For-Tokens-On-A-Stick, but...
As for my own gem:
I honestly don't get why Commandeer doesn't see more use. I mean, sure, it's not a cheap counterspell. But the sheer horror on people's face when they invest life in their Boseiju and then use 20+ mana for a giant Genesis Wave or Exsanguiate, only for it to be Commandeered (It doesnt counter, sorry Boseiju) is absolutely hilarious to behold. Even funnier if you're tapped out and they figure you pose no threat to their gargantuan bomb.
And heck, if you're feeling hilarious, it's lovely to hijack a T1 Sol Ring. Just 'cause you can. 2 cards pitched be damned.
Of course, it requires a pretty hefty devotion to blue, and if you bank on hardcasting it from time to time, it's pricey, but well, I'd say in 2-color-decks it still works perfectly. UG might be its best home.

Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.

My two fav cards in my Wrexial deck are Gather Specimens and this. These two can make absolute blow out plays. And I have jacked T1 Sol Rings quite often with commandeer in that deck, simply because of the sheer draw power I have in it.

Crumble is nice and efficient, but is strictly worse than claim. Enchantment removal is huge.
I use this for surprise general kills with Rasputin, Dreamweaver.
I like Gaea's Touch as a poor-man's Exploration.
