A) I don't actually see wizards ever completing this cycle, because the only red possibility is Sorceries, which would be way too good with Time Magic, like Panoptic Mirror
B) How does this break Renewal? You're going to skip your draw and spend a total of 3WW just to let one creature recur when it dies each turn? Why not just run Nim Deathmantle and recur any number of creatures when they die each turn for 4 each.
I didn't say that it would break Renewal, but it would become better with that little combo. Basically it would add redundancy to those who wanted it. I'm actually in the process of getting an Angelic Renewal right now though.
I doubt they will. Those lands make for extremely repetitive game play.
All it takes is for just one person at R&D to make the card and a handful more to green light it. Especially since the Design and Development teams for sets like Commander and Planechase are relatively small.
okay its not on the top 50 but I'm pretty sure riftstone portal is known. (its been mentioned here even)
It bears mentioning that it+ contamination is pretty much Ghrave's way of saying **** off to griefer decks.
This actually doesn't work. Contamination creates a replacement effect, so that no matter what you tap your land for, be it U, 2, GGGG, or BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB, it comes out as a single B instead. So with Riftstone in the yard, your lands can all tap for G and W in addition to their normal mana, but it doesn't matter as it all comes out B anyways.
Now, what is a pretty nifty combo for Naya is Blood Moon + Rifstone Portal. You give other multicolored decks mana fits, and all of your non-basics can tap for any of your three colors.

well nm then.
I thought there was an enchantment that makes all lands into swamps.
to make up for the bombo, eater of dead + earthcraft until wizards stops being retarded with errata actually works how just eater of dead should work by itself.
you can also try to kill someone with eater of dead and hair strung koto though there are far better two card instant kills.
Warning issued for inappropriate use of 'retarded'. -viper

Might be a good idea to actually autocard those, as Eater of the Dead at least is fairly obscure.
I feel that their current errata is a pretty decent interpretation of the original intent of the card. It's still fairly powerful with any tap effect.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who noticed this but Makeshift Mannequin's "draw back" is actually a bit of a plus in EDH. your probably hitting a creature with a CiP ability or something like persist/undying, and the sac trigger protects against Swords to plowshare, Duplicant, and any other targeted exile.
It's less useful when you consider that if a deck has enough reanimation and creature with CIP abilities for that to be a common situation, that deck really should be using a good number of sacrifice outlets anyway, which makes the adding fragility of the Mannequinned creature fairly redundant.
Actually, Miraculous Recovery is a card I don't see played as much as it should be.
I run it in almost every white deck I have (except Karador, which is a creature-only build). Even in my Oros deck, which only has like 6 creatures, it's great. Reanimating Oros as a 7/7 at instant speed is pretty boss.
I run Mannequin a lot too. Instant reanimation, even with a drawback, is just savage.
Someone played that card against me against on mtgo. Pretty cool card i've never seen before and i've been playing EDH for a long. Cheap white steal at instant speed. I might try it out!

I've got a couple: Also, this is my first post on these forums. How do I autocard here?
I run Ashes to Ashes in every Black deck, though I see it's been discussed. Altar of Dementia gives Ashnod's Altar a run for it's money as the best sac outlet in the game. It's so versatile, and it's another win condition in one of my decks. Phyrexian Delver is a great reanimator on a stick. Rain of Daggers - I have a black/white lifegain/lifespend deck that this is right at home in. Phyrexian Reclaimation - Ive seen discussed on here, but is incredible. Well of Lost Dreams - Gain life in your deck? Run this card. Mind Stone - often overlooked, great if you can recur it. Cowardice - I love this card. I run it in a pinger deck, but it prevents all equipment from being attached. Fun to watch what happens. Capricious Efreet - repeatable permanent destruction, if not reliable. Mizzium Transreliquat - I believe every deck that can run this SHOULD run this. Knowledge Exploitation - Yes, it's expensive, but it gives Blue access to Boardwipes, graveyard recursion, etc. - everything it shouldnt have access to. Acquire - At the very least, it's another protective artifact. Slate of Ancestry - Very good in a token deck. Trailblazer's Boots - Almost every deck runs non-basics Aftershock - So versatile. Destroy target artifact, creature, or land. In red. Into the Core - with as much indestructability as you see in EDH, so useful. Primal Order - Run a deck that doesn't have too many non-basics? This thing is a beast.
I love Preacher, he does so much in my Ghost Dad deck. With a good sac outlet, he controls for cheap, and plays politics like a...well like a preacher.

In a similar vein:
Willow Satyr - Green repeatable legend steal! Scarwood Bandits - Green repeatable artifact steal, though it can be hard to get off sometimes. Hymn of Rebirth - It's a little pricey as reanimation spells go, but it can hit any graveyard, making it a GW Beacon of Unrest (minus the artifact bit of course) Nomad Mythmaker - Great for a deck with its own auras, but amusingly it can steal opposing auras from the graveyard as well.

That cycle of cards had so much potential. I always wanted to make moonhold work in 60 card, but I never could :(.
Invert the skies and Torrent of souls are some more great ones. Invert is amazing at getting your alpha strike on, and the other is a well know finisher that I am surprised doesn't see more play.

Blanket of Night does that (and is a gem in its own right), but it's more along the lines of Urborg than Blood Moon.
