5. Endless Horizons
- This card is really underrated, I don't see it in as many mono-white decks as it should be. For FOUR mana, you can thin out your entire library, making your draws significant, AND guarantee a land drop every turn. Ridiculous...
A lot of people are scared of its "drawback", even though, when played correctly, it's not really much of a drawback. What's especially ironic is these same people also tend to run Extraplanar Lens in the same deck that they are afraid of Horizons.
A card I recently discovered for my Hanna deck: Unbender Tine. It's pretty amazing. At worst, it acts as another mana rock. It synergizes with so many thing though and can be used for infinite combos as well.
I caught a guy with his pants down on Cockatrice thanks to Ravenous Trap. He got milled by another guy who hit him with a Sword of Body and Minded creature and his already-big graveyard swelled further as he had to bin ten more cards. When he flipped Kozilek, Butcher of Truth into the graveyard, I responded to the trigger by Trapping his graveyard while I was tapped out. Let's just say that person didn't do much else for the rest of the game with 30 or so cards exiled when he least expected it.
Honestly, I cannot get enough of free spells to catch people by surprise.
I love Parallectric Feedback. For me it almost acts as a red finisher, since you can just explode people's bomb cards right back into their face. If someone casts Exsanguinate for a bunch, you can make sure they take the damage +2 before anyone else does, maybe even fishing them off.. Awesome for taking people out when they least expect it: when casting their last ditch effort.

Man, it'd be fun to resolve that one someone casting Storm Herd.
10. Wellspring
- Do I really need to explain this one? It's wellspring!
Hahaha... this is probably the most hilarious ramp spell ever. Also pretty awesome tech against stuff like Kor Haven. But just denying players a mana during your turn is a good enough bonus.

yes, you do need to be careful with Endless Horizons. The way I play it usually depends on the state of the game as well as the colors my opponents are playing. Black/Red has little to none enchantment removal, and I can't think of much for blue either, so it's really only white/green you gotta watch out for.
Glad you guys are liking infernal tribute
And wellspring is pretty lulzy, yes, but EDH is about having fun and being casual, it's cards like that that make me love playing the format.
Anyway, I was trying to build a white/red equipment deck in workstation when I stumbled across this little beauty. Soltari Guerrillas.
This seems pretty good for equipment decks since he's pretty much always going to get through. His second ability seems pretty nice with equipment power buffs as well.
@Endless Horizons: If I were to play it, I'd make sure that I only put enough lands under it to get me by for a few turns. That is to say, I would not put ALL of the Plains in my deck under it, but 4-8 would not be unreasonable, depending on the likelihood that it would get destroyed. Or rather, I would put enough under it to make sure I hit the next few land drops, but not enough to make killing it a total blowout.
@Soltari Guerrillas: That's a sweet find. I'll have to try one out in my Brion list.
a key to endless horizons that many people forget is that you dont have to pull out EVERY plains in your library. even pulling out 15 or so in a mono white deck is significant.
and depends of course on how many people run armageddon in your meta
Ritual of Subdual seems like it could be pretty powerful disruption piece in a green-based decks that runs a couple of colored mana stones. It's no Infernal Darkness, but it can seal the deal on a combo or beats, or at least keep your guys from being wrathed for a turn or two.

Ritual of Subdual isn't Infernal Darkness. It's better because it stops 5 of the 5 colors, not 4 of them. Green has a much easier time keeping it out indefinitely as well. Contamination is probably stronger than Ritual, however.
The problem with defining [EDH] by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Brightstone Ritual appears to be a whomping good card for producing mana in a goblin-heavy deck. Tie it in with Reverberate or Reiterate could mean even more mana than Mana Geyser...of course depending on the situation. The plus side is that Brightstone Ritual only costs R and is an instant.
winter orb wait for everyone to tap out and have Sword of Famine and feast on the board to rape everyone
I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're saying?
Unrelatedly, I think Ponder, Brainstorm, Impulse, and related effects are seriously underrated in many EDH decks, especially multiplayer decks that don't really "get going" until later turns. Plus these cards are never dead draws late game.
He means that Sword of Feast and Famine gets around Winter Orb's drawback of affecting you as well as your opponents. However, neither of those cards are really hidden gems.

And to add to that, edh decks can usually produce lots of non-land mana
My gem would be a card that has little love,Chisei, Heart of Oceans.
He eats the counters off of Decree of Silence. He also can eat -1/-1 counters off your creatures. I am planning on making an edh deck around him the more i look at him
trade secrets This card is annoying as hell when it you are not the target in a multiplayer game. Just plan STUPID crazy..but last night playing a three way I happend to commandeer it. Drew 20+ cards because the other guy wanted to keep going..I ended up winning that game.

This could easily turn into a Consecrated Sphinx Combo thread, but Wheel and Deal has worked really well for me lately (even without Sphinx). Time Spiral is awesome, but the instant speed wrecking of finely crafted hands is pretty good too. With Sphinx of course it's Instant - 3U, Draw 22 Instant - 3U, Draw 43 with 3 opponents.

Couldn't start? I am guessing you meant stop. Unless your opponent was suffering from food poisoning, so the loss by poison counters triggered a traumatic breakdown from which they will never recover.
All these posts about mass drawing and no mention of the hidden gem of Psychosis Crawler. Niv-miz is weak compared to this bad boy when it comes to murdering other players via timetwister/consecrated sphinx
