I generally have a full hand with Norin - and when I don't filter is still nice.
It's not about the advantage, it's the ability to move through your deck faster. Blue can do it, green does it. Black does it, hey - white has it too!
...red didn't. Now it does.
Anvil says hi.
No, I get his usefulness. Im just mad he doesnt do exactly what I wanted. But after some thought, with a hand full of nothing it's worth the random discard to try and draw some gas.

The EDH stax primer When you absolutely, positively got to kill every permanent in the room, accept no substitutes.
Tibalt is only going to be good in the decks that need him in EDH. Those decks are almost all mono-red. Sure, if you're playing UR, BR or UBR, you probably don't need the random looting. Red by itself does, though. Now all we need is a red Merfolk Looter, and we're set.
Also, Lighthouse is great. I like having something to do with my UR at end of turn. I'll have to pick that one up.
However, what I'm most excited about is Zealous Conscripts. I always wanted to fit Conquering Manticore into Riku, but didn't because he wasn't quite good enough. Conscripts stealing any permanent (ala Word of Seizing) makes it that much better, and that fact that it combos with K. Jiki is icing on the cake.
Tibby goes in black/red decks best, I think. He'll certainly have a home in Lyzolda, his second ability is solid burn and can cause someone's C-word Sphinx or Rhystic Study to backfire horribly. I know Storm Seeker isn't that good but being able to repeat it, even once every few turns, is nifty.
As for mono-red, it honesty depends on the build. It's a must-have for Squee, but a sorcery and artifact recursion-heavy deck can make good use of it too. Outside of those I just don't see it panning out well for other mono-red builds.

The more I think about Tamiyo, the more I love her. I'm kinda 'meh' on her first two abilities, but her ultimate is beautiful. Besides my expectations about it being amazing in my Scion deck, I really want to use it in standard to make infinite mana and kill someone with something stupid, like a Gut Shot chain gun.

That angel's kinda a bummer for EDH. There's no easy way to bump that angel up unless you're running Jenara, and how many angels in that color combo have haste? Just use Karona as your general, I guess....
I'd think this set would have more GY hate if it is supposed to be anti-the other sets in the block, but we shall see.
I'm very excited to get a Harvester of Souls for my Shirei deck. Mindless Automaton and Scarecrone are two of the most powerful cards in the deck, so having all of my sac effects and creatures also turn into cantrips is quite amazing.

Kiki-Jiki + Conscripts means that any G/R deck now has access to an instant win with Tooth and Nail. As if giving G/B their own quick win (Mike & Trike) wasn't enough.
It won't be much longer until any green deck can win instantly with Tooth and Nail. I warned you guys that this was going to happen, and it's starting to become a reality.

Mono red can do it with splinter twin and conscripts, but then again red is terrible at tutoring.
But yeah, tooth and nail is like a tv falling down the stairs. Its gets more broken with every set release.

It really is pretty broken. I'd buy a copy (not to use for combo shenanigans, but it's damn good either way), but I don't want to spend $10 on a card that is almost certainly going to be banned any month now.
Tooth and Nail maybe get banned, or it might not get banned. That really doesn't matter, because people will really get burnt out of the card regardless.

Now you're just being nice. We both know that it started a long time ago.
I'm not sure if I still have my copy in any of my decks, but if I do, I'll probably be ousting it to make room for all the buttery goodness that is AVR. I already need six cards, but that's nothing compared to my other half.

You can grab Kiki fairly easily with Recruiter (if you've got the $$$ to spend), Goblin Matron, or Moggcatcher. But yeah, it's not so easy to find the Conscripts besides maybe Gamble.
Hmm... with mention of Sedris re: Tibalt, I just realized that you can use Ghostly Flicker to reset up to two Unearthed creatures without losing them. Very useful.
Edit: Unearth replaces any movement of the creature to a zone outside of the battlefield with moving it to exile. Since Ghostly Flicker already moves the creatures to exile, Unearth doesn't change anything, and they can still move back just as the card instructs.

Those are both cool ideas. Tibalt could definitely see some use in a deck that wants to put cards in a graveyard early (say Sedris Reanimation).

This is the only one of those that can be used in a Sedris deck, though, which makes it unique.
