As for other new cards, is it just me or are these Storm (Echo Storm and Fury Storm so far) cards really bad? They do nothing until you've cast your commander, and only start becoming worth the mana when you've done so twice. Outside of decks that actively want to be killing and recasting their general, they're going to be a waste of a card slot. Maybe the other colour ones (assuming they're a cycle) will be better, but I'd much rather just have a generic version of the effects than a scaling one that only gets worthwhile when something I don't want to happen has happened multiple times.
No, It's just you. Cause they don't do nothing if you haven't cast your commander, they do exactly what they say. I'd say the most common situation is people have cast their commander once, so echo storm is 5 mana double artifact clone and fury storm is double reverberate, both at an adequate cost for their effect.
You don't need to cast your commander 6 times to play them, or even consider that possibility much. You just need the times you cast your commander multiple times to counterbalance the games you want to cast these before your commander.

Zedruu: "This deck is not only able to go crazy - it also needs to do so."
So far I think these [blank] Storm cards are going straight into every appropriately-colored deck I ever make unless the commander is > 5 CMC or specifically Inalla.
Even if you aren't playing artifacts or spellslinger, they can copy an opponent's stuff.
Xantcha is also pretty cool, and I can see her going into the 99 of a deck.
Yep, Xantcha is great. The Cult of Rakdos, especially in the newer block, oozed so much flavor, but the color combo almost always revolves around creatures dying. Nothing truly chaotic or random.
They could have made this a "Rakdos Pinata" (legend or not), and I'd be gaga for it. Xantcha is cheap. You don't need to build a deck around her. You can just drop her early and let her cause havoc.
Is it just me or is the Hydra even worse than the spider? Like seriously can someone explain how the Hydra is a thing? Like, what a terrible reanimator general. I'm actually kind of upset. Jund is my fav combo and all 3 were disappointments. At least I still have Prossh
Yeah so far only Xantcha is making me want to build a deck. It oozes flavour, 5/5 for 3, reverse voltron endless whispers kinda feel. Coud use that land (forgot name) to yoink her back, equip and harmless offering her back. A stretch but this is a fun commander not competitive. Need some earthquake effects to clear the way too.

Use Threaten effects instead of Homeward Path, then you don't have to dig for your 1-of Harmless Offering to give it back.
You could use Deadlock Trap, Edifice of Authority, or Sudden Spoiling before Threatening her to prevent other players from activating her ability while you control her, so you can safely suit her up.
There are a number of equipment/auras that give the controller of the equipment/aura benefit rather than the controller of the creature they're attached to. Sword of X&Y triggers, for example, work for the equipment controller's benefit (or the detriment of the player that was hit). Vampiric Link would give you the life. And so on.
Can we talk about how Gyrus is probably the worst card spoiled in recent memory?
Right!? Like what the actual F. It feels like a really bad Sedris, the Traitor King and Sedris isn't even that great. Why do the tokens get exiled? Why are you limited to only things less than the counters in him? I actually wouldn't mind that part of the counters were put on him by a different ability like say just a static 5cmc 0/0 that enters with +1/+1 counters equal to the ammount of different lands you control. Or idk, something other than a simple X cost. And if you really need to keep the abilities as is, why the hell doesn't it have haste? Maybe even trample too?

Yea I know like wtf?
Oh well at least we get captcha in the jund deck. And the myr that is not a myr in the izzet deck.
#1; x-sized creature without trample. What is even the point if you force a player to stuff evasion enablers in a deck. This is why thromok the insatiable is often times too hard to work with. I really hate decks that make me think buried alive + anger/brawn/etc is necessary to include.
#2; The exile at end of combat is obnoxious and I don't understand why they don't just say at end of turn. Is this becoming more common to prevent infinite combat strategies? Is skullclamp + sac effects too broken? Are they really worried about that in a set where they just spoiled Xantcha, that wins with infinite mana?
#3; Why does it even exile the token? This is a mythic rare, shouldn't you be able to keep it? So you basically have to run stuff like parallel lives in an etb creature based deck, where the only token maker is the commander that both needs stuff in the 'yard requires a combat step. Is parrallel lives even still good then?
The upside is that this gives jund a +1/+1 counters matter general. It's not like kresh the bloodbraided is a powerful card or anything. And it is interesting that you can spend 0-mana on the X, and still have a 3cmc 3/3
> Hates your own graveyard
> Doesn't give you attack triggers
> Can't sacrifice the token or use death triggers
This is easily the clunkiest and most awful commander design we've seen.
you can sac and use death triggers. Just not as beneficial.
A) They exile themselves, so they don't give you death triggers on their own
B) You can't use anything sorcery speed or even make use of stuff like Ashnod's, since its at end of combat.

I think you're missing the fact that the copies created are additional, so if you've cast your commander just once then they would each go off twice.
