Very dependent on what the Hook ends up costing - at 2 or less, it could be a decent cards: 2 points of power and evasion for a total of 3 mana to play and equip is solid for a voltron deck (I'd probably give it a test in my Akiri/Tymna deck). At more than that, you're getting into Sword of X&Y territory, at which point it looks more than a little outclassed....
I don't think its better than Boundless Realms. Boundless Realms is permanent. Certainly this has nice synergy with artifacts matters stuff but that's the same way that Realms synergizes with lands matters stuff. Its certainly strong though.
Brass's Bounty is going straight into my Wort, the Raidmother Fireballs deck. It seems like an excellent way to 'bank' mana for the turn I want to go off in, or make the turn in which I start lobbing those balls even more explosive. It's especially nice since I can't play Boundless Realms (it's for a playgroup where each individual card can't cost more than $1 TCGPlayer mid).
Only if you look on it as a ramp spell. Even then, lands from BR cipt, meanwhile this can be used as a ritual if you have more lands then you paid for it with, or cost reduction effect, Mana Reflection, etc. Agreed tho, artifact synergy is the main reason to run this card.
I think any deck that plays Realms is playing Amulet of Vigor. My Omnath deck does. But yes this does have some powerful interactions outside of making mana.
There are some cool interactions with Brass's Bounty, but it's 7 mana. Can't really ever see myself wanting to pay that much for a spell like this (I consider Boundless Realms to be pretty bad for the same reason)

So the Captain's Hook turns out to cost 3 and as a result is pretty useless when compared to the competition at that CMC. Kinda disappointing really, as, as I remarked when we first saw the text box, at 2 it could've been a decent little card.
So...Vona's Hunger is strong. Do instant-speed, every-opponent sac spells exist? I don't think so, with Tyrant's Choice being as close as I can find. STRONG card for Toshiro decks.
THEN you might have ascend, which is easy to hit in EDH, for a much bigger bonus.

Liliana's Oath does similar thing, although Vona's Hunger also ascends you, which powers up other spells/permanents with related effect.

Instant speed is hugely relevant for removal spells, especially edicts. I've definitely played lists that would be interested in Vona's Hunger even without the ascension part.

Atzocan Seer - Good body for cost, has a generic mana dork ability, doubles as a means to recover your dinos. I like it. River Darter - Could be useful, but I can just imagining it not making the cut. Thrashing Brontodon - Now this is something I been needing for my green decks. A very good sized body for its cost that can double as removal. Angrath, the Flame-Chained - Somewhat dissapointed he doesn't interact with pirates like his intro version. But he has a lot of good value behind him for other strategies.
Seer is trash as a mana dork but could show up in Gishath lists depending on how many misses he can afford. And I guess depending on what the three headed Elder Dino does. But he's not particularly amazing.
The Brontodon is solid. Meren will be happy to have him.
Angrath isn't the flashiest of walkers but I think he will overperform of given the right home. Rakdos, Lord of Riots, a slightly less tuned Nekusar, the Mindrazer. I'll be putting him in my Yidris Nekusar deck.

Eh, there are times that Boundless Realms ends a game. I have it in my mono-G Baru, Fist of Krosa landfall deck and it does major work. It’s a bad ramp spell, sure, but when combined with Baru’s ability, or with an Avenger of Zendikar or Zendikar’s Roil / Rampaging Baloths, it’s a ramp/pump spell and that is totally worth 7 Mana.
As for Brass’s Bounty, I think it will be better than BR, simply because there is far more artifact synergy than there is land synergy.
Oh, man, I hope there are bounty cards for each tribe/color. Like when they had the expertise cycle!

Buybacking Reiterate cost 6, so casting Brass's Bounty with 7 seven lands should make infinite artifacts, no?
