What if the deck your facing has a alt win condition? They will get it before they kill them self out.
While this is true there aren't that many alt wincons that see a lot of play. Most alt wincons usually revolve around infinite damage, drain or mill and Teferi already protects you from that.

Yeah, I mentioned that situation. You'd basically win unless someone casts some epic global milling or global poison counters etc. Or plays something along the lines of "you win". Apart from that, you're golden. Really puts the pressure on those decks that have ways of bypassing Teferi's Protection.

most decks that win with labman only need 1 turn to pull it off.
But counters do and if you stolen some stuff from players those stay with you.
The trick is you phase out the win cons they can't get rid of them before the next turn and you can't even be touched not even your life total if you have one ready to go anyway. And upkeep triggers will happen before they even have a chance to try to stop it.
The two and only things that can stop it is disallow and stifle (this doesn't including countering the protection.)
Note that protection is a damage prevention effect and thus Insult // Injury allows for a commander-damage elimination through Teferi's Protection.
There are also plenty of decks that can simply play indefinitely by shuffle their libraries back in with Elixir of Immortality or whatever.
Skipping all your turns in hopes that your opponents deck themselves doesn't seem viable. Perhaps it can work if you've got a Smokestack out with a few counters on it.
That is one of the most broken things I have ever read in my life. Pulling that off means that you could basically be the one to go watch TV while the "remaining players" are killing each other off, but not because you died first, simply because you basically already won. Unless of course someone casts things like "each player mills X" or "each player gets X poison counters" but you catch my drift. Damn, do I love MtG.
It's not that broken. Disrupt Decorum will only affect the creatures in play at the time you cast it, and Chronatog/Chronatog Totem can only be activated once per turn, so it has to stay in play for you to keep skipping your turn. (And you need to also always have access to mana to animate the Totem, if you're using that.) A single sweeper (or even targeted removal, since your permanents don't have protection, only you do) forces you back into the game.
Using Lethal Vapors for turn skipping is better, since you can skip as many turns as you want at once. Although it might be a good idea to do it with Grand Abolisher out, so your opponents can't skip an equal number of turns, negating your skips.
Love it. It's balanced out by the tap, which makes it a lot tougher to play as part of a combo turn in a storm list seeing as haste is not usually high priority for storm combo. Absolutely nuts at U to activate if it survives around the table til the storm turn. I will definitely not complain about a second Mind's Desire.

I don't think I missed this guy being mentioned yet. Mairsil the Pretender was from the ice-age books (around 2000). Seems like the best necrotic ooze commander printed to date. Shame he is off colors from Ith, High Arcanist, because exiling Ith with Mairsil would be a huge flavor win.
edit; per Magus of the Mind - it is too weak for a competitive storm list. But I like that wizards is making cards like this (similar to magus of the will) in that it gives players the ability to tune a storm deck to the power level of their group. This is an obvious removal target.
He also works nicely in a spell-based Jhoira of the Ghitu list, since he can come off suspend with haste, and will see other spells coming off suspend on the same turn to help up storm#. Although that is a tough spot to make space for since Mirari and Meletis Charlatan are just better for that sort of deck.

Seems like a poor home for Ooze combos. He can't sub for Ooze because of the once a turn restriction and you don't want to exile your combo pieces. Still a great commander and I'm sure there's combo potential there somewhere if that's your thing.

hmm liking Kess and the UB wizard. Actually i find the UB wizard to be a truly balanced wizard. (though i would not play him, i don't like putting stuff into my graveyard. I would end up running both Kozi and Ulamog just to shuffle my grave back.) If it was look at top three and put one in hand and rest on bottom of library, i would run him.
As for Kess, Seems pretty fair in the long run. Wizard playing with graveyard is a nice change of pace.
I still prefer Inalla though, i want to break her so badly.
Yowza. Possibly the best Grixis control commander. Dralnu, Lich Lord without the drawback plus Vandalblast? Plus, her built in evasion and spellslinger propensities plus my second favorite equipment turns her into a viable win condition, as well.
So now that the full new cards are finally revealed....I definitely want to see the reprints. Some will be obvious, but there's always at least one or two staple reprints that fills a hole in a deck I already have, and usually that's a determining factor in which I buy. At this point, leaning towards wizards as the one I'd afford. Having said that, I was disappointed with Magus of the Mind. It's a great effect, but there's other stuff I'd rather have seen stapled to a creature. Maybe Time Spiral or Turnabout, Time Warp. Oh well, they can't all be zingers.
Mairsil might actually have chance of changing to be my Grixis commander, for one good reason: Jeleva is fun, but when playing Commander with semi-randoms, having a pile off their decks next to me leads rather easily to accidentally 'borrowed' cards, especially if shields happen to be same or the game drags on (it happens).
Also, because Mairsil can potentially lead into a stupid durdlepile that doesn't know how to win. My kind of deck.
EDIT: Shifting Shadow is getting a home without a doubt. I have no short supply of creature decks that can use more of whatever this is.

Laughed my ass off reading this, because this is basically all of my decks before I actually get serious and realise that the people I play with won't tolerate my silliness.
So I was a bit salty this morning after the Vampire spoilers from yesterday. Ive been itching to build a Mardu deck for quite some time, with the closest Ive come being a rough draft of converting my Grixis group slug deck to Queen Marchesa. I opened my browser this morning to see Mairsil, the Pretender. A flurry of expletives regarding that card being something exciting to build around and why did it have to be in the colors of a deck I already have escaped my lips. Then later I was treated to Kess, Dissident Mage, and the same string of expletives were repeated. Then I remembered my Grixis to Mardu refactoring idea from months ago, and promptly switched from buying the vampire deck to buying the wizards deck.
Overall, Ive very pleased with the amount of interesting new cards and I cant wait to see what will be reprinted!
