The planeswalker deck bolas looks like a lot of fun for casual tables. Certainly interactive, and the ability to alternate between hucking 9 damage around the table (at worst) and destroying problem creatures seems like fun.
This is the first 7+cc PW who "cannot" outright destroy another PW, interesting.
Captain Lannery Storm: So now we have 4 Lotus Petal-ish varaints. Lotus Petal, Tezzeret's Etherium Cell tokens, Gold tokens in Theros, and Treasure tokens in Ixalan.
Sunpetal Grove: About time for a reprint. Presumably the whole cycle, or the allied half of it at least.
Sorcerous Spyglass: Pithing Needle+Peek (-cantrip). Seems fine.
Arcane Adaptation: Strictly better Conspiracy
Vanquisher's Banner: Probably will be popular in tribal EDH decks. I doubt it'll see a huge amount of play in other constructed formats, with that mana cost.
Daring Saboteur: Depending on it's full mana cost (probably 1U) and P/T, seems like a reasonable looter.
???ing Insight: 7-drop wheel, possibly.
Jace, ??? Castaway: His ult makes copies of himself. Depending on the rest of the card, potentially terrifying.
Also, a quote from the Reddit discussion:
It could be the only way to first get to Ixalan is to become "truly lost" in the multiverse.
Like the Pirates of the Caribbean quote:
"For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was. "
Maybe Jace is some kind of Aether Castaway.

Dont we have like 2-3 sets between now and ixalan? Hour of devastation, C17, the third set of Amonkhet and then Ixalan. if anything, chances are that we are gonna see Pirates as a tribal deck for c17. Either that or maybe amonkhet is gonna get flooded and pirates will be showing up in their pirate ships. Just seems like Ixalan is too far away to have spoilers/leaks

Hours is part of the two-set paradigm, so no third amonkhet. So its just Hours, C16, and Ixalan, so not a huge surprise that we could see an early print run getting spoiled.
There's also a 5BB black card that appears to have wording similar to Invasion's "two piles" spells. Sounds like a gun with one bullet, kind of theme eh?
EDIT: Also, holy crap, a new simic merfolk legend (merfolk I think). Size = hand, you have no max hand size, and when it enters play you draw card equals to creatures you control.
Another picture of the same sheet (with more cards showing) makes this somewhat suspect. Among them:
A mono-green merfolk
A mono-white vampire
A single card with Raid
A single Vehicle
"Hostage Taker" which gives you infinite ETB triggers all on its own, and causes a draw if there are no other creatures or artifacts in play.
what is hostage taker's wording?
When Hostage Taker enters the battlefield, exile target artifact or creature until Hostage Taker leaves the battlefield. You may cast that card for as long as it remains exiled and you may spend mana as though it were mana of any type to cast that spell.
2/1
That new black mythic is especially spicy for just its ETB effect. Like if you combined it with Exquisite Blood.
[Name] 3BB
Creature - Orc Pirate Wizard (MR)
???, Deathtouch
When ~ enters the battlefield, each player loses a third of his or her life, rounded up.
4/4
Also that white enchantment is especially nasty.
Ashes of the Abhorrent1W
Enchantment (R)
Players can't cast spells from graveyards or activate abilities of cards in graveyards.
Whenever a creature dies, you gain 1 life.
I can also confirm that Daring Saboteur is indeed 1U to cast.
The UG merfolk I would happily pay 7 mana for. If it was 9 mana, I'd probably still play it. At 10 mana, probably not.
This is for Maelstrom Wanderer. I say 7 mana because that is what Regal Force costs, and this is much better, but if it was 3UUGG it would make up for it. Also, having Prime Speaker Zegana as a precedent makes sense for that type of cost.
Ashes of the Abhorrent is a terrific second anti-GY card for enchantress. So cheap AND a great name? Love it! Enchantress has gotten some good love of late.
Ashes doesn't stop most of the recursion I see. Any kind of regrowth or reanimation effect is unimpeded as are triggered abilities. Of what I encounter on any kind of a regular basis, it stops flashback (which is fewer than 10 cards in EDH), Reassembling Skeleton/Bloodsoaked Champion, and Soul of New Phyrexia. A couple of those use a pretty generous definition of "regular basis" too. It seems much too narrow to me.

Let's not ignore the second part though as it hoses (or at least you don't die to) Blood Artist/Sharuum+Disciple loops. A lot of utility packed onto one card. But yeah, from a purely grave-hate standpoint, there's better cards you can play.

Hell yes? Guess it'd be a cycle of cards anti-respective color/planeswalker.
In the front of an old card binder, I have a drawing a friend made for me of Niv-Mizzet eating Jace. I think that flavor text is the closest magic canon will ever get to that exact scene.

this could be amazing if there were a lot of decent dinosaurs coming out. At the moment we only have Old Fogey from Unhinged.
For this to be usable straight away, i reckon there would have to be around 30ish Dinosaurs in the Ixilan set. Each would have to be within his colours and then be actually usable in commander.
Nice to see another Torpor Orb on legs in the Ixilan stuff, more hatebears are always a good thing. Though I'd really like one that stops on cast triggers too.
I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that there are 20+ playable dinos in RWG across the 2 sets. There's 5 or 6 just in the cards spoiled already.
The extra Torpor Orb effect is wonderful and I'll be glad to play it, but Hostage Taker is one of my favorite designs in a long time:
