Felidar Guardian is definitely playable somewhere. Easily recurred thanks to 1 power. It's also a redundant combo piece for Reveillark combos if that's your poison. Restoration Specialist is playable for similar reasons. Translates creature recursion into artifact/enchantment recursion and it's small enough for all of the little reanimation spells to bring it back.
I'm loving how much stuff there is at uncommon here, especially engine cards. Efficient Construction, Sly Requisitioner, Hidden Stockpile, and Winding Constrictor are all solid cards that support existing archetypes. Energy has a bunch of new generators and a couple more payoff cards. It's nice to see the power level come up a little. It's also a nice change to see a lot of the stuff I want at lower rarities instead of loaded at mythic.

[Pr]Jaya | Estrid | A rotating cast of decks built out of my box.
Alright, as for cards that got spoiled only today... Felidar Guardian has uses. As noted above, Reveillark can pull it up. Alesha, who Smiles at Death might also appreciate the effect. And I'm sure there's other decks that can abuse this cute kitty. Restoration Specialist is effectively a 1WW return target enchantment and target artifact card from your graveyard to your hand. Who can chumpblock if needed. Decent value, might find some homes. Illusionist's Stratagem is an infinite combo with any Archaeomancer variety + Peregrine Drake, Palinchron or Great Whale. It draws your deck while you're at it. Will see use in combo decks, shame it's an uncommon (For pauper purposes) Gonti's Machinations is a fun way to keep energy flowing, albeit slowly. Midnight Entourage is an Aetherborn lord. A good one at that, but the tribe itself doesn't look too strong. Might see play in those odd Changelings decks. Monstrous Onslaught is a fun card to kill a few creatures with in mono-green, I guess.
Yea, not a lot of goodies left, but still, this looks like a good EDH set all in all.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
For edh I think this set has alot to offer, better than most new sets. That being said here is what intrests me: Exquisite Archangel for Ayli, lichdom. Sram, Senior Edificer for any white equip deck that struggles on draw or enchantress style. Disallow for a better voidslime
I think Sram could be a really good mono-white commander. (Obviously not Tier 1, but, ya know.) There's enough cards now to where card draw in an aura/equip white build wouldn't be horrendous.
This is quite the set! Love it. I think Depala will have a more permanent place in my collection with all the nice dwarfs and REALLY nice vehicles.
Plenty of goodies scattered throughout the set, too. Might even try a janky Yahenni Aetherborn tribal because they are perhaps my favorite new fantasy creature in a good long while.
Will need to do more skimming of the set as the gears of deckbuilding restart.
Hey guys so I've actually moved on from commander on to 60 card decks so I don't have any commander decks.
Anyway I've started my own gameplay channel in which I play games (Magic also)
I just wish the print runs for these sets were high enough to significantly lower prices, but that has consistently proven to not really be the case, except for fairly marginal cards to begin with. More affordable copies of Damnation and the Zen fetches would be a good thing, but so far I'm not seeing anything else I even care about. I guess the Guildgates are okay for drafting with the set (assuming there's ever enough of it available to do a draft; that never seems to happen with the local stores, due to how limited an amount they can get), but I already use them for bookmarks sometimes.

Not quite - traditionally the mythics see an immediate but brief price drop while the rares see a more sustained price drop. The later drop lasts until people stop opening large quantities of the set. For rares these sets are great, for mythics you might save literally a couple bucks.
That being said I'm glad to see Venser at rare. He will probably take a big tumble in price and I've always been stubborn about paying for more copies.

I think that depends greatly on the card. While two Modern Masters printings for Cryptic Command has dropped the price on that significantly, being printed in Modern Masters didn't lower the price of Glen Elendra Archmage at all, and both printings continue to creep up in value. Same with even less-premium cards. I don't think Stonehewer Giant has gone down in price, and the cost for the Modern Masters and original printings of Reveillark is essentially equal... and more or less what I remember it having been for a long time. Only with it having been reprinted in Commander 2016 (which has a massively larger print run than Modern Masters) have we finally gotten a substantially cheaper printing.
That being said I'm glad to see Venser at rare. He will probably take a big tumble in price and I've always been stubborn about paying for more copies.
More copies of Venser is a good thing for the format, though I think I have at least one unused copy right now.
I doubt they will include it, since the set is already full of lands, but a Cavern of Souls reprint would be a good thing for this set. That's getting very pricey.
I was curious about this, and it's actually a nearly perfect example of my point. If you check this out on MTGStocks you can see that it drops in price by more than half after MM is released (June 2013) and stays below the pre-MM price until almost 2016.
Stonehewer Giant dropped in price by half for over a year after the MM printing.
The better cards, rare or mythic, definitely continue to creep back up and only repeated printings help with that. YMMV depending on the card, but the time to buy from these limited sets is shortly after release and there is some good value to be had.
I would absolutely love Cavern of Souls and I'm disappointed I missed out when they were reasonably priced.

Seeing stuff like Thragtusk and Primal Command immediately flips me from wanting to buy packs, though.
There's a group of Magic players at my office that are planning to do a MM17 sealed league. I'd love to get Thragtusk+Vanish into Memory and build a Bant deck.
I like a lot of the choices so far. A lot of cards that are needlessly expensive, like Path to Exile, Zur, Damnation, Stony Silence, cage, and enemy fetches.
Leyline of Sanctity tanked last time. Even Bob is less expensive now. I'm happy with these reprints. Damnation is really something I've been trying to get.

Nah. 6 mana man is much stronger for our format, considering schemer's minus ability does nothing and neither does his ultimate.

for Sydri Rogue SquadronYahenni, Undying Partisan, Metallic Mimic an Treasure Keeper because Marchesa, also Yahenni is an awesome durable cheap sac engine
Fatal Push because B is awesome removal
Pia's Revolution, Scrap Trawler For Feldon artifacts, possibly Breya
Monstrous Onslaught could be fun in Kresh
Selvala 2.0 Rishkar's Expertise and Lifecrafter's Bestiary need all the draw I can get also Paradox Engine why not?
Alot of the good cards are all lower cmc than most edh playables for other sets, the revolt mechanic is amazing for blink decks, or sac decks or if you have fetches. Liking it far better than last 4 sets.
