Partner mechanics looks promising, wonder the pairs that will appear and will be strong. Also, pairs sharing a color can be good in terms of abilities and mana bases.
For now, Silas Renn, Seeker Adept caught my eye. Artifact reanimate sounds great, I can see the deck already.
For others, I don't really like them: Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder is boring as usually, nothing new here, Im quite dissapointed, they had whole year to create something interesting, yet we see another Kalemne.
Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix not sure what to do with this. I don't know how many cards you can draw each turn, but if it is more than 3, you don't need her to win. Giving 2-3 mana on tap for 4cmc and 2/3 body.. I don't know, I don't like it. Has some interaction with Memory Jar..
Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa... oh god, why can't you be Boros, Rakdos or Orzhov. This would be one epic card for Alesha, Who Smiles at Death. But nah.. I don't like him, I find him too weak. What will you do with him, go 1/1 tokens?
Basic landcycling is great way how to fix 4 color mana bases, I like that. Also those two cards look quite useable.
Prismatic Geoscope stronger Gilded Lotus for 4 or 5 colored decks, not useable for 1 or 2 colored ones. For 3 colored, Gilded is just better as it comes untapped...
Nothing on Sublime Exhalation is convincing me to add it to any deck. White got good sweepers and this one cost 4cmc only when you are playing against 3 enemies. Once 1 or 2 are dead, it is just too expensive.
I'll say Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix, I thought was bad, but thinking now.. it is pretty awesome, surely you can have some nice interactions. For example you can Time Spiral and then cast a Kozilek, or else use Teferi's Puzzle Box to generate a LOT of colorless mana. Brainstorm/Sylvan Library can also net 2 extra mana for almost nothing, and things like Windfall all become rituals for a big Eldrazi cast.
Does anyone know how commander tax works with partner?
Each commander gets its own tax and deals its own commander damage. So if one commander dies, the other is still at its base cost. Similarly, you have to focus fire with one general to kill with commander damage.
Also, only partners work together, so sadly you can't just attach one partner to any commander, which ruins a few ideas of mine... BUT, here is to hoping for a Rakdos partner that at least works SORTA well with Silas Renn to make that Grixis commander!

Vial Smasher is the only Rakdos partner general. Enemy guilds get 2, Allied get 1. So Ludevic is your only other hope and given that it's Ludevic, I doubt he'd work well with something artifact-centric.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Well we now know the BR one isn't going to be great with Silas but I think the UB one is acceptable. He can potentially draw us a lot of cards and every archetype appreciates that. Plus he's a zombie so thats a flavor win for Grixis.
Atraxa, Praetors' Voice - how............ is this green???? I knew I was going to be pissed when they did 4 color commanders because honestly its hard to obtain identities from a bunch of colors but somehow omit a color. The closest thing I can come up with how it is green is its stat efficient. I also feel like the proliferate part of it feels really random on the end. I feel like the stat / ability efficiency is going to drown out the potential flavorful proliferate build most of the time. It feels like a goodstuff commander which normally I like but I hate 3-5 colors and in a lot of ways I just dislike where they are going with this. I am grumpy in part because I love Lightning Angel and I feel like this is so far above and beyond that. It just feels like this enormous stack of stats and abilities which I am a little annoyed by because it feels like it just does everything from the get go. In the scope of things this kind of design annoys me less than what they did back in the Prosh / Derevi commander decks where they just gave too much value and made it too hard to interact but at the same time this card requires specific removal as if you plan to deal with it in combat you just probably wont get there.
Partners - I am actually surprised by this mechanic. The fact that these legends keep their identity and flavor of their colors is great over their counterparts who might just be mashing all of these abilities together. I have to say I prefer this a lot over the four color legends because it makes for some really cool combination commanders. I like that there are so many directions you "could" possibly go with them and they really open up some really cool design space. The idea of having two commanders is a little alien but from a standpoint of customization and flexibility I love the concept. At first glance, I am impressed with the concept and am interested to see all of them so I can start thinking about how to approach them. Until we know them all its hard to really assess them but I am optimistic as it stands.
Undaunted - its going to be a strong ability. I assume they go into this assuming 4 player games. The upside is they can print things and shave off mana for them where otherwise they would be too strong for heads up. I hope to see plenty of this in and on red cards to be honest as red always gets handicapped because of 60 card heads up formats so it would be cool to have some early and mid game stuff that might be too strong for other formats where its balanced by the fact that its designed for commander. Even just with the card we have seen so far a Day of Judgment for 2W is very good. Its cool but I also fear that we might just see card reprints with this ability adjusting their cost on them rather than seeing additional new card functionality.
Sylvan Reclamation - I will give this one a callout because honestly Return to Dust is so strong that this is a very welcome addition. I was surprised that we had not seen some additional effect that might come close to Return to Dust in as long as commander has been popular especially with how popular the gods were of recent. Land cycling is also a great pickup so I look forward to this card.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
Proliferate is a non-white mechanic. Green loves counters.
The way in which it is set up is far more of a blue mechanic though. Blue was the biggest user of proliferate so while you.... can call it the green contribution it feels a lot more like Inexorable Tide or Thrummingbird on it than some green version of proliferate.
You "can" call the proliferate green. You also "can" call the stat efficiency on it to be the green contribution. Either way I will feel like its some giant stat / ability stack that drowns out the last line of what it does entirely.

ISB, If I was going to question a color on our lovely Phyrexian angel I'd go for the white before the green. Phyrexia is generally BUG in nature.
Only if you are going with where Phyrexia's colors originated. By the end Phyrexia won over and corrupted everything (assuming my very narrow scope of magic lore is accurate which it often is not). From what I recall there were Praetors in every color which was part of the expansion and corruption of the Phyrexians.
Its also an Angel (generally white), has flying (a blue / white base ability), and has vigilance (a primarily white ability).
It is far more questionable to examine green in it.

If we want to call "cost effectiveness" green then we can add that, but I'd rather not go there.
I like Silas Renn, and if my deck were more artifact focused (I'm already pushing it running stuff like Inventor's Fair in a deck with only a small artifact sub-theme) I'd totally be down to run him in the 99.
Partner is..honestly not something I'm actually all that surprised to see now that I think about it. They've tried to do gimmicks like this every set after the first, and this really does just feel like a logical step to take and is a cool solution to the 4 color problem.
None of the other spoilers really excite me all that much, but a deck with some new Phyrexian vibes definitely gets my pants a bit tight. And I may be interested in what the artifact deck has for us (am always looking for fun toys for Tezzeret and Lazav).
I think the Bant colored praetors were ahead by the time we left NPH. Was Atraxa one of the black sub-praetors? It gives us a ton to speculate!
Nope. Closest name I can recall off-hand is Azax-Azog. And the true four-color characters are supposed to all be brand new, from familiar locations.
I've long loved the idea of a GW Phyrexian themed deck (Trostani as commander, ideally with comissioned "compleated" art mod), but making one for Atraxa seems like a no-brainer now. The synergy with Ezuri is fantastic too. This might be the first precon I get for that reason, although without having seen its commander yet I'm still holding out hope for the WUBR artifacts deck. Very curious to see what other RW partner comes with Bruse. Maybe it's a legendary Ox? Since the two UR partners are creatively linked it makes sense that they all would be, and they presumably should have some strong synergy with each other too.
More spoiler today than I was expecteing. Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa: Seems great for token decks that like to go wide. Flanking makes combat harder and partner is a great mechanic. No complaints here. Silas Renn, Seeker Adept: Artifacts and graveyards... I like where this is going. I dislike having to do combat damage but deathtouch should make that achievable. I'm still impressed by how creative partner is. Vial Smasher the Fierce: First off - great name! This little guy seems destined for something that wants to spam spells (creature or non creature). He is also just good at getting repeated value and doming people. Partner is still great and the value he brings is impressive. Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix: I like the ramp... it goes well with having a lot of cards to cast. Powerful, synergistic effect. And partner.
[CARD]Bruse Tari, Borish Herder. This might be what Kalemne wanted to be. Although it might be more powerful, it's less exciting. All of these attacking Boros generals are getting boring. Sublime Exhalation: The mechanic is really powerful but this is just a wrath of god if all opponents are alive and it gets worth later. Interesting, but I don't know how good it will be. Atraxa, Praetors' Voice: Superfriends, stax, counters in general, voltron. Card is versatile and powerful. Great general and it gives me a lot to look forward to for the other ones. Sylvan Reclamation: I's similar to Return to Dust and cycles. I like the solution to iffy mana bases and I like that these cyclers can do more than cycle as well. Grave UpheavalSuper Aggressive reanimation for value. Cycles. All good here. Primeval Protector: Not sure how I feel. It's huge and exciting but gets chumped by everything. Prismatic Geoscope: Now this is insane. It's a gilded lotus with plus one in these decks and can easily be a gilded lotus in others. Powerful card for 3+ colors. Kraum, Ludevic's Opus: Great art. I like that this guy pressures people in every way imaginable. Should net a lot of cards.
I love the set so far. It feels more creative than the last two simpley due to the existence of parter.

Tell me more. What would a Vial Smasher the Fierce spells matter/instant deck look like? What card have strong synergies?
Here is my current rakdos storm decklist, with a spoiled debacle regarding the complete lack of any appropriate legends.
In short, Vial Smasher is cheap enough to come out early so that she isn't competing for game-ending effects. In 1v1 the randomness is gone, and by her wording, she doesn't "target" an opponent, so the damage is harder to re-direct. In my list, sometimes I can build up a pretty hefty storm count but still don't have enough to generate 40 points of damage, so she seems like a nice addition to thermo-alchemist and guttersnipe to start whittling away.
She seems good in many strategies, but for my deck specifically I'm having a hard time evaluating the possible damage that she will cause compared to the mana/turn investment of getting her out instead of digging to prepare for storm. I'll have to goldfish quite a bit to see if she is worth it.
Atraxa, Praetors' Voice - how............ is this green???? I knew I was going to be pissed when they did 4 color commanders because honestly its hard to obtain identities from a bunch of colors but somehow omit a color. Honestly, I am just royally annoyed that they gave up the chance to do an enchantments matter theme (especially as they extended it to black with Daxos the Returned) to do more counters matter. Seriously, I was considering getting back into magic with this release, but now I might need to forego it.
Silas unfortunately doesn't make the cut in robots, as I already have enough recursion and he doesn't naturally come with evasion. Profitable blocking is also better done by Baleful Strix.
Nothing else so far has any theoretical use for my decks.
Anyone have any idea how many Partner cards we are likely to see? Any chance of getting, say, 2 Izzet, or 2 Boros, etc.? I would assume its pretty unlikely but I think it would be cool if we did. At first I was super against the idea but now its kind of growing on me because its kind of like a "Build your own commander" mechanic.
The superfriends commander isn’t in the color of Jokulhaups!? It's the most important color!
Its because red Planeswalkers suck =P

Nothing else so far has any theoretical use for my decks.
