Granted, I haven't participated much in the polls and support/nomination process, because I'm still pretty new at working with this thread (this is one of my first weeks voting ), but ideally its just a general resources.

Voted House Guard, Bob, Haruspex, and Kalitas. I can live with only three of those making the cut.
I fully understand the argument that combo pieces could be too narrow, depending on the piece, but dislike the idea of not voting for a card that you think is one of the best because of a dislike for the strategy.

My votes went something like Dark Confidant, Grim Haruspex, and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet.

Oh and to add to the actual conversation, I put my votes toward Sadistic Hypnotist and Grim Haruspex. I don't personally run Sadistic Hypnotist, but that is only because it is too good at what it does for my playgroup.

He is sort of like an inverse grave titan in that he generates value the whole time he is in play but also if someone wraths he builds up a big army then too post wrath. He is a value over time generator that you have to spot remove rather than sweep to get ride of.
He is also stat efficient and has lifelink which is sort of nifty.

The main beef that I have with this Kalitas is that he only gives you zombies when your opponent's (non-token) creatures die. This means that I have no control over how effective he will be at generating Zombies. I much prefer even Ogre Slumlord over Kalitas if I want token production because it also triggers from my creatures.
Granted, Slumlord doesn't act as grave-hate, and his P/T and other abilities are obviously worse. But, when I am playing B, I don't often pack much grave-hate as I am often the one who would be hated on. I would actually prefer that my opponents graveyard be full of juicy targets rather then exile them (normally).
Also, I am not vying that Ogre Slumlord be added to this list. I am just surprised that people rate Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet so highly.
I actually disagree with this just because I run sac-outlets in almost every deck I own, and this is especially true in my decks that have B in them. If a creature I control would die and I have a sac-outlet, of course I'm going to sacrifice it to add that sac-trigger every time.
I just never seem to draw very large amounts of cards off of Haruspex due to the non-token clause, while Abomination draws the same amount and then some consistently. This is just my experience, though.
If you always have a free, multi-use (IE not something like High Market) sac outlet on board, your opponents aren't running enough removal or you're not doing anything really worrisome with them anyways. It's pretty rare for me to be able to stick one of those for more than a turn or two at a time and I play a lot of those in many decks. Haruspex is less situational. Both are excellent cards though.
That's why you run a sac outlet from the command zone

In this case, black has powerful tutors, that's a given. If you look at a powerful black deck, it will have a lot of tutors. An optimized list will probably be running Imperial Seal. A powerful deck might not be running Rise of the Dark Realms. While powerful and flavorful, it's really just another average level game ender, of which Black has many.
Toxic Deluge, however, is one of the best black wraths available. I can get behind supporting that. I support Toxic Deluge.
I will also support Wake the Dead. That card has many applications from death loops, to just pure insane value generation, at multiple times during a game.

Mostly because I see reason to run more tutors but I dont really see a reason to ever run Black Sun's Zenith. Because there are other similar and even potentially better effects on list does not mean that Diabolic Intent is not a better card than Black Sun's Zenith.
