Reverse the Sands is pretty damn narrow, but I at least have a deck designed to win with it. Whereas I would never play with O-Ring.

I think it should be off the list too but in terms of discussion it does have some very nice benefits.
1) It's incredibly versatile. Oblation is the closest comp. Unlike the other cards you mentioned it gets rid of anything non-land, including planeswalkers
2) It's easy to tutor for in white since it's an enchantment
The pro's are somewhat reduced by the fact that it can be removed as you mentioned, but unless it's on a CITP trigger they are still using a card to get rid of it so it's not a total loss. You are just forcing their hand instead of removing the creature.
I think running Oblation over O-Ring is a no-brainer in almost any deck. However saying Plow or Path is strictly better is a little muddier. They are better cards overall, but they are not better in every circumstance.

Cryogen had accidentally called it Faith's Fetters at one point instead of Faith's Reward and one user gave a support vote for Faith's Fetters. We couldn't on good faith (lol accidental pun) consider them the same thing so we took that support vote as a nomination instead.
Unfortunately we sort of jumbled several things last week which we apologize for. We did not feel that it was fair for it to move on to the next week with only one actual support for Faith's Reward since the other was specifically for Faith's Fetters. I probably should have kept a better update on the OP on nominations as well but once we jumbled things up it took us a while to talk about how we wanted to handle it.
Again, our apologies but neither of those cards received enough support to make it to week 2.

1) Rest in Peace I am placing this in place #1 in my opinion because of the fact that it has no limitation between color combination or strategy that neccesarily impacts its ability to be played. Obviously you dont run this in a reanimator style of deck. That being said it has a huge amount of power and can be played well in mono color, dual, tri, or 5 colored decks with no loss of impact. It is the strongest graveyard hate effect printed to date. Due to all of these things I will place it at the top of the nominations this week for potential adds. It can go into a lot of different decks and isn't limited to a certain strategy or color to use it.
2) Tithe I placed Tithe in the second place of adding because I felt that it is also very versatile as to what decks it can go into. It essentially fits any white, non-green decklist. It generates card advantage and it can retrieve nonbasic plains. It is very powerful and can also be utilized in response to cracking a fetchland making it useable at literally any stage of the game unless you are ramping past all your opponents and even then it still replaces itself. Due to having a wide area of use I placed this second in the nominations this week.
3) Moat for me, this is a powerhouse card. Unfortunately it is limited in what type of decks it belongs in and what decks it works against. It is really solid against aggro, token, and voltron tactics though but many of those decks also have a good number of answers. This card has a lot of power but unfortunately it also stops all attacks everywhere that don't fly. Due to that it catches hate from everyone it is holding back. Even with its limitations, in my opinion it has a lot more power than the other cards up for nomination so I still feel that it deserves a spot regardless of it not belonging everywhere.
4) Blind Obediance I like the life stealing it gives and the fact that things come in tapped helps push attacks out on opponents. That being said, I still feel like its somewhat of a narrow card as to what type of decks it should be included in. It has a nice bit of utility having two relevant abilities though. It hates on some combos and haste very well but how much that helps is some what dependent on meta calls again.
I just thought I would sort of craft my own thoughts on the nominations this week. All four of the nominations are excellent cards though so its not an easy week by any means.

Yeah it's tough because they are all so good. I'd actually put tithe above RIP primarily because as you said, it's so versatile. I have a hard time finding room for RIP in a lot of my decks because I almost always have recursion I want to abuse and RIP is an anti-pattern (I have the same misgivings about relic of progenitus).
As another poster said though, tithe doesn't necessarily go everywhere. It's mainly useful in tri-color decks without green. I don't have a lot of experience with Blind Obedience though so I'll admit that might be worth the nod but I've never used it or played against it so I can't vote for it.
Moat is excellent but it has the same problem as RIP. Since it's global it can hurt you unless you build around it. It's an auto-include in Kaalia (if you can afford the $$). But in a lot of white decks it's not a good fit.

2. Moat: Powerful effect
3. Tithe: Decent but wish it said any land
4. Blind Obedience: Accomplishes little except to annoy all opponents

Extort can be run in mono white. Helper text does not count towards color identity.
You can because the hybrid symbol is in reminder text so it doesn't count. It's fine to play in monowhite.
I think it just goes to show we are looking at a lot of good cards here.

Tithe, while it should be in almost every w/x deck, is not top-50 materiel.
Moat is the closest to the top-50, and probably should make it in.
Obedience isn't nearly good enough in any case.

Yea... I don't really see why so many people really like Obedience as an overall good card. Its nice, in the right kind of deck. I don't think its something that I would add to just any list including white though.
It is a voting system though after all. The will of the masses sort of thing. Its alright, though... we aren't loosing out on much as Mesa was probably the better of the three we picked to go this time and I think its close to as situational as Obedience is. Overall I think it will still be a nice move up over having condemn and whatever the heck that other bad card was on the list.

Blind obedience on the other hand is just an overall superb support card. Its not too strong for it to be completely overwhelming, since it just effects dudes and artifact ramp. Its also not too weak, since you essentially gain life over time out of it (on the plus side, it also shuts down hasted-combo wins.)
I would have wanted faith's reward in the menu as well, too bad it didn't make the cut for nominations.
